Hi there,
My app GoogleNow Pic allows to replace the default Google Now portrait header images by a custom one.
Please note:
It only works on rooted devices!
You can use this only when having Google Now installed.
It's mandatory to start Google Now before using this app, since GoogleNowPic need the default,
downloaded images of Google Now to be able to replace the correct ones!
There are four different portrait header images for dawn, daylight, dusk, twilight which only can be downloaded,
when activating/using Google Now at these particular day times. So you have to use GoogleNowPic in worst case 4 times
until you have replaced all of this images.
There are two installation options available via app menu:
(Install sample image)
... is a demo mode which merely shows a (app included) sample image - in order to prove it works...
(Install custom image)
... allows to use your own image which must be a png file and 720 px in width and 307 px in height.
Provide your image there:
/sdcard/cgn/image.png
... start the app and use the menu option to integrate your custom header image into Google Now.

Hi guys,
I am sorry i didn't posted the "how to" last night, because i noticed Google Now replaced my custom header image when periodically refreshing.
So after some testing i probably found a way to fool Google Now so it does not replace/update your custom images.
Since injecting your custom image is pretty complicated, i decided to provide an app which will do the job.
I probably will finish and provide it tomorrow night.

Hi blu_ninja,
I checked HTC Evo filesystem structure and I noticed sd card paths are differing a bit from the ones in HTC One X.
I am going to optimize sd card recognition of GoogleNewPic when i am back home and will provide an update in the evening.

currently I am on Android 4.2.2 and Google Search app v 4.1.21.1657903.arm.
I didn't use GoogleNowPic for or longer period, so I didn't notice that it doesn't work even on my device.
By having a quick look on the current version of Google Search.apk I noticed that they changed the method of providing/saving the header images.
The only chance to bring it "back to life" on different devices, is making it a Xposed Framework App.
I will check this next week - so please be patient and keep an eye on this thead.

I can handle an xposed module, i use xposed, but you don't think that very similar android and google app versions will respond to the app without needing xposed?

I am starting this thread to build the best ROM ever for our beloved ARTEMIS. After trying for several months, I have now surrendered to the fact that WM 6.5 is not a good fit for ARTEMIS. I think WM 6.1 is what it can bear. This ROM might not be the most bug-free one, but I am committed to make it the ONE. Herein I would also need help from other cooks to make this the best.
This is the base ROM with M2D to start with. The download link contains the ROM. Also the attached zip contains the THEME, and other installers that I recommend you to install manually.
WHY THIS ROM?
– With M2D, Phone Canvas, Easy Contact etc. you still get 32Mb RAM free. What more do we want?
- When other ROMs need to be re-started daily, you can use this for month with NO need to restart.
- Low memory consumption. Even after 7 days of regrous use, I still had 26 Mb free with phone working like a charm

I flashed your rom and it's fast and good but my camera won't start(neither then i run in the settings the camera driver enable/disable option).
And an another problem my x/ok button doesn't respond to clicking ( i ran the screen calibration. i noticed this problem in a different rom too) do you have any idea?

Thanks for sharing your feedback. Issues acknowledged. Camera shall be fixed in the next release soon. I am still looking for a fix for the OK/X button. The issue in presistant with many roms and there is very less that I can do about it.

I have removed that from the ROM. Please let me know if you recomend to include that. I shall than put it back in the next release.

Actually problem was solved with dedicated SIP software.
But there is another trouble. I did not found anything related to ringtone/phone config in Start -> Settings -> Personal - there was just no "Phone" option. Maybe I'm mistaking, but still, check it out...

The weather panel is disabled by default.
Install M2DC to customize M2D. Using this application you can enabe plugins and also many other mods can be done to M2D.

This is my first ROM so...
This ROM based on BLAZN (by tiad8 from XDA).
I tested the ROM on Raph100 and Diam100 and every thing works, including the camera and camcoder. I don't have other devices so i can help but i need some log to see what's wrong.
I'm getting 21FPS (diam100) and 20.2FPS (raph100) with NeoCore with no overclock and camera+camcoder works great.
How to install V6:
1. choose your device and put startup.txt on npkinstall and on root.
2. run install.exe in the npkinstall folder - REBOOT.
3. check that you have 'ts-calibration' file (if not download it from here: http://www.neopeek.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=6420)
4. run harted
5. after startup wizard finish, wait 5 min and restart.
6. start harted and have fun!

That's amazing!!! Wow, i'm not ready for using android builds needing the separate partition personally, but can't wait to see if something can use this to figure out what is helping get this kind of battery power. I would be willing to bet a lump sum it's not relating to being an ext2 build (verses image style like main FRX04 build here), as when in sleep mode, nothing is getting accessed to USE more power to constitute that being a reason, as there both in low power mode, with equal amounts of access to reading changed values (very little). Which means it's very likely we can figure out what differences in this version getting this battery length, compared to normal equivalent ext2 rom builds battery.
I get (as of today, using normal FRX04 and camera additions and libraries) from 2pm-7pm dropped from 99% to 54% (about 10% per hour), with the differences being it was sleeping mostly the whole time in my holster. This seems like it's getting (from reading the post) 10% of USING it, and 45hours of standby, which is a HUGE difference.

No, haven't tried it yet on my raph800, but simply GUESSING it would since he's using viruscrazy's files from his thread, which does work on diamonds, raphs, etc. I will try it once i get a chance (or extra memory stick i don't mind making separate partitions), as right now i have 2.2(camera) and 2.3 install setup's (using images) as the way i have things done, i don't want to mess with making a separate ext2 partition to do this (reason i didn't do 2.3rom until they came out with the newer version setup with an image instead, like frx04 is done).
But when i get some time (or if someone ends up making the non-ext2 partition version on THIS build), i will shift some stuff around to make an extra partition for this as i would love to help test this out for raph800 users as well. I only have an 8gig, and have almost 7 gig's used, including both android versions, music, pictures (i take A LOT, and frequently)
Please delete mirrors of versions and let the guys fix the version 5..This versions contains warez apps..They delete the main mirrors until remove these apps and give back version 5 ..Thanks

The way of installing and porting its clearly different..You could try both of them and decide what fits you..There are many differnents..I prefer huawei roms as you said just because its a little bit faster for me..

Everything as expected except one strange screen after first boot. I had to remove the battery... because this strange screen (a rectangular shape, like a cell phone, with android logo inside) was covering the lockscreen and I couldn't get rid of it! :cyclops:
After that everything seems to be just fine...

Goto settings/display, turn off the last option, this screen will not be displayed again!
I've just flash it, but where is the google play store/gmail, it is missing.I remember that china rom doesn't have gapps. which one should i to flash?

Hey guys, please notice that the rom is not official, I just ported it from the offcial MIUI for DS. Also there is some bugs such as wifi hotspot etc. I will be very appreciate if anyone can help me get rid of the bugs or add more English support!

well seems like this too have the battery drain while listening to music through headphones problem.
im not suprised actually, because its 3.0.41 kernel. all roms with this kernel will have this problem untill Flemmard fixes it.
Oh man, i was about to go ask on Q/A if all the miui roms for our phones have been discontinued/are there any left. because i'm getting tired of stock ICS/nova launcher. And now here's this, looks promising. Might flash tonight or wait for next update if theres smth missing here. This does come in English right?

the lock screen default is not working, i see in the security that no style. how about choosing lock screen become pin or pattern?
by the way i have some comments about application which need root access. we must manually go to security,permission then allow all. there is no prompt for root access
Nice rom. I now using it, but it sometimes work not smooth.

I've got a new desire EYE, and I'm really excited about android development, previusly I've followed the HTC one s forum (but two weeks ago someone stole my beloved device), I'm not a developer, I'm just curious and I want to learn.

After flashing this rom and look in the catlog to find out something about the front camera bug I've found that was missing a lib and that the camera button wasn't working... So this is my fix!

Wow thank you so much for the help and i hope this can enable camera for android development for the HTC EYE. it is such a cool device yet support is little due to the camera.

See as I have explain I can't use any of my cameras without short circuiting my battery. So I have my ribbons disconnected , that's why I couldn't fix it myself.... But my question is did you push my camera fixes and then libhtc_humanprocess.so or what... Next rom update already has GPS fixed. Just need to narrow down the camera issue .

Wish i could be a little more savy and assist you. I tried your rom with the camera fix. (that work with back camera but front one freezes) and tried running ADB from my pc and it gave me an "Access denied". when i tried using LOGCAT, it told me it could not write a log.txt file.
Does your rom have read and write permission enabled? what do you suggest?

I've flashed camera camera fix 2 and after that i've pushed the missing lib (i've noticed that it was missing also in the rom zip)
Can I ask one question about s-off?
I remember that I've s-off my one s (about two years ago) because if the phone is still s-on is impossible to flash kernel directly from recovery (and it must be done using fastboot). After flashing your rom my device was stuck in recovery and it want boot after forcing reboot.. I tried to flash charm kernel zip from recovery and the phone boot.. so my question is: I still have to flash kernel by fastboot? just for information
However i'm running insertcoin rom from about five hours and it's incredible fast and smooth! Everything is working aside GPS, but if you said that you alredy have a fix that's a great news!

Hy i was able to copy the files using X-plorer. it seems to be working now!!!!!!!!. I wonder if it will be long before Marshmellow 6.0 is out for the m8 and maybe a rom Insercoin for us as well.

Try InsertCoin 1.1.0 , has fixes like :
- GPS
- Both cameras working
- Camera Button working
- Fixed incompatible issue with some sense 7 apps in play store
- updated sense home , ime, and lock screen / ported tweaks
- and more that I can't remember....

Hi, I've just flash the 1.1v, but gps is still not working... The device says something like "gps is not present in the device"

My gps works ok on the same rom, the only issue i have is that if I am connected to LTE I can not receive phone calls, the go straight to voicemail, I can still call

so my device can't even recognize the gps chip, the problem was at driver level
the lib is gps.default.so I take one from a sense 7 rom from htc m8 and gps works!
now I can use your rom as daily driver

OK, things are getting serious: we've got Play Store and Google services working fine (location via mobile data and wifi not working), all kind of streaming videos play fine, framerate for GPU intensive games is unbelievable compared to LeTV's 12S stock ROM based Custom ROMs; no major bugs to note except Parrot's Free Flight 3 app not working.

Hmm... Great stuff. I also not very impressed by EUI... What about Sim card slots, mobile Internet and camera? Do all these things work on CM too? How about battery life? Is it improved or same or less?

I'm using slot 2 only and data/calls/messages work fine; both cameras work, with 4k videos too; battery is more or less the same, I can go morning to evening just like Cuoco's. I really insist you should try, unless letv starts developing good things (but it seems like Android 6 ROM doesn't change much) I'll never look back; moreover, someone may port cm13 sooner or later.

Not at all, dude, I just want to spark some conversation and maybe development for this DOA device...
Camera is fine, you even get 4k video recording from main camera and 1080p from the front facing one. Even official EUI ROMs are not that good, with camera: videos always fail to autofocus and you have to keep pressing on screen to refocus, while pictures live preview is slow and generally not so good with low lighting.
Please H3G, deliver the HTC 10 and I'll get that in a heartbeat so I can stop going slightly mad with this device!

Correct, any CM you'll find in this thread works both for CN and US versions, I'm using an US device myself.

Right, opengapps build, 64 bit, Android 5.1, flashed right after ROM (put two zips in queue, in case you're wondering). Let me know which build you're going to flash and how you like it.

I installed it ! But on boot I choosed german as language maybe not a good idea. Will try again with english at first boot-up.
I noticed following:
- I installed OpenGAPPS Stock Version for 5.1 / arm64
- Google Play Store is crashing
- AudioFX is crashing
- four to six useless chinese apps included into the ROM
- One settings extension is completely in chinese
Anyway if I'm able to remove the for me useless stuff and fix the crashing of the play sotre, then I will keep this ROM.
Which ROM build did you flash? I reverted to https://app.box.com/s/ua2ekx0g54iltp2nj9b8uo2fykciylwg for now, just because of Play Store issues (even though it actually worked since I could install apps via browser and apps were auto-updating I could open it only sporadically, most of the time it force closed).
- AudioFX crashes here too, I actually never tried that since all my audio needs are speaker and bluetooth;
- You can easily freeze/uninstall those Chinese apps: enable CM root access in standard developer settings, install Titanium Backup or similar from Play Store (or via apk from apkmirror.com) and get rid of them;
- That settings item in Chinese language is actually just a container for all those Chinese apps you want to kill, so don't bother. It will force close if you click on it, once you freeze/delete those apps.
- I always choose Italian as system language and everything is in Italian: except for those Chinese apps, of course, but they never survive for a long time.

Yes exactly. I flashed it already Play Store works on this build from 12.05.2016. Cool !
I already deactivated all the chinese APPS via APPS Settings --> All Apps. It's important that you have to download first a new keyboard like google keyboard. As the chinese/english one will be also unavailable when deactivating all chinese app/services from settings.
Yeah, so far that build worked fine, only occasional non-playing Periscope/Facebook videos. Even installed Xposed Framework with a few modules.
Oh, are you using Trebuchet or Google launcher?
