Q:recovery touch not working after ota - HTC One X

hy guys
I was back to stock due to warranty, after that touch screen in recovery not working anymore.
I can't use cwm because of that, but I can use twrp and go through menus with volume buttons, but when try to install rom, touch also doesn't work in aroma.
what is the problem for that
-relocking the bootloader or ota update on next base ?
-or maybe hboot should be same as unlocking the bootloader?
-should I try to unlock bootloader again to get a different unlock-code.bin
can't find answer for that does anyone knows what causes this and how to repair it?
Thanx

A stock recovery is not touch based ! Only custom recoverys are, at least the latest ones.
What base are you officially on now
Fastboot getvar version-main
That will give the base version number. Unlock the bootloader and flash this recovery and all touch features should be back. Also in aroma

what is the difference in this recovery?
should I unlock bootloader again? because I used old unlock file

Depends on what you want to do ? Are you full stock now.....do you want custom roms ?
This recovery works on the latest official hboots with updated touch drivers. Its a cwm recovery but more advanced.

Hold your power key and the volume down button for approx 10 sec...you will boot into bootloader and you will see your HBoot version..!! This rom that you are trying to install requires you to have a version higher than 1.30 so check it!!
thank you!
and if i want to go back to stock with ota ill need to install the correct ruu right?

Yes you have to install the correct RUU and also flash stock recovery for the OTA to work...!!
Cheers..!!
Before you do anything ....make a nandroid backup of your stock rom in the custom recovery, that way you never need a ruu (that might not be available)
After that you can flash anything (that is compatible to your hboot)

Yes, there's a particular version of TWRP for bases greater than 3.14... I don;t remember the version no... However, in that version, you can mount USB drive in recovery...
I am on 3.17 base and TWRP touch didn't work for me either! So tried CWM(Non Touch) and never looked back since!

It comes handy if you are in a tricky situation like.. Phone has stopped booting because of a bad flash... and you don't have the rom files in your phone... then you can push the files to your device using adb or by mounting usb via recovery!

[Q] Touch not working after nandroid restore

Sorry if this has been posted already but i have searched literally hours before coming to this.
I'll start at the beggining.
I was on stock htc rom on 4.2.2 on my ONE X. i wanted to root so followed a tutorial and it went wrong, so i tried to boot the phone but it was stuck at the htc screen, so i did a nandroid restore
however the restore was for an older software version (ICS i think), now the phone boots up and i cannot use the touch in anyway. I have searched for RUU's but none work, i have tried nandroid restores but the give errors and i have also tried stock rom's but to nno avail.
I would honestly greatly appreciate help in any way shape or form. I am not a complete noob at this but a mere begginner compared to you guys here, (much love btw, helped me a hell of a lot through the years).
I can provide any information you want, just let me know how to access it as i dont have touch working. I have clockworkmod recovery etc, i dont think its rooted.
So yeah, please help me and im sorry if this is wrong section

Problem at the nandroid backup ? Or problem at recovery ?
Be clear about your issue
If it's touch on recovery update it to either philz touch or latest TWRP. They can easily be found in the original dev section.
When touch doesn't work when you restored a nand backup you need a newer one matching your official main version !

You should get a matching nand from somewhere. Without one i can't help (you should have made your own )
If there is no nand in the backup collection thread in the general section than i don't know. There is no other source available here on xda ...... maybe outside xda, a forum from your country ?

No mate , just flash a custom rom and use the phone. A stock rom is not different to your stock. It's only debranded (no carrier crap on-board). And there will be no major updates anymore, i don't even think there will be small ones either !

[Q] !!!HELP!!! ViperX 4.1.1 and Philz 5.15.9

Hi guys, sorry for my english but i'm italian!
My problem is that I can't install the viper x 4.1.1, when I have the cwm recovery and I try to install the viper x 4.1.1 zip from sd card (after obviously flashing the boot.img with the command "fastboot flash boot boot.img") it immediately fails to checking model id and begins an endless loop of reboots such as a sort of semi-brick, so I read that with the Philz 5.15.9 I shouldn't have this problem and in fact flashing Philz as recovery this problem no longer occurs, but it gave me another problem: when the installation gets to 5% become all black and starts again the endless loop of reboots like semi-brick that today made me really scare, because after this doesn't even open the recovery (today I have tidied up this with fastboot erase cache command)
How can I do? I ask to you powerful and experienced wises because I'm getting mad
Thanks again and sorry if I irk you in mid-August!!
However I have an HTC One X tegra 3 quad core 1.5 ghz with hboot 1.72 and S-On
