after much debate and 12 yrs of sprint cell service it is time to move on. i always knew sprint didnt have the best coverage but until i started playing ingress, i didnt really realize how bad it actually is. over the past few months, there have been many, many times when i have had full 3g data coverage but data is unusable. this is mainly true for the larger cities and towns around these parts. it is extremely sad that i have to use my girlfriends hotspot to use the data. i saddens me to say (not really) but i have switched to verizon and the service is 10000x better in this area. believe it or not, it is also cheaper with her on my account with a shared plan. i think i saved over $30 a month.
so, i say, good bye to my sprint family, i bid you farewell !!!
ohh and, anyone want to buy a virtually new note 2 with multiple cases and batteries?
We have suffered a great loss.
You da man t3.
But I agree.
Sprint is actually the worst phone service to ever be in business.
I wish I could switch.
I will probably pay the etf and get t mobile.
Tired of this company and their horrible data.

kcmo checking in here. great sprint 3g and lte, and wimax for the older phones. we are doing just fine over here. enjoy capped data. personally, on our 5 lines we used 23 gb last month, so i dont think i could go to any other network and not get hit with tons of overages.

Tmobile dude faster 3g service than our lte. No caps like us. Around same price of not cheaper. Gsm goodieness. Better battery life because of Gsm. Wifi calling for free. Once your done paint for the phone your bill drops.
The only reason why we haven't switched it simply because they don't offer us a discount and that is why sprint is the cheaper option for us personally.

of course, because you are playing in sprint's front yard. and after looking at my data usage of the past 2 yrs, i have never used over 2gb so im not too particularly worried about capped data. besides i stay on wifi 75% of the time anyway.

i will never ever ever ever switch to tmobile. they even have lte in kansas city where i live. i still wont go for it.
the unsubsidized phone kills it for me. i buy a phone every year. since i have 9 lines with sprint total, they break me off great deals on my main line upgrade. in the last 4 years i have had the touchpro 2, the epic 4g, the evo 3d, the epic 4g touch and the note 2. the note 2 was the only one i paid for, and i got it for 149 1 month after launch.
why would i want to go back to the dark ages of paying full price for my phone?
even if i did want to do the tmoblile payment option, it wouldnt save me any money. i juust checked the note 2 on tmo. they want 149 down plus 20 per month for 24 months.my bill wouldnt go donw at 24 months. i would be wanting a new phone. there for reupping the payment plan. theyve found a way to to keep you in a contract with out the actual contract and making you buy your own phone. good god damned they are some good hustlers

I've been with sprint for awhile now I had to pay for samsung moment 179.99 and took them ages finally admitting it was a pos. Then gave me an upgrade had to pay for htc Evo shift. Traded for Epic 4g before 30 days. Paid 299.99 for Note 2. ****ty service all the way since from North Carolina to Texas. My buddy pays less than I do for 3 lines on Tmobile and had better service were ever we go.

I switched from Sprint to Verizon about 2 years ago and 4 months ago Sprint GOT LTE in my area so I came back. Happy as ever now. Last month used 65 gbs of data. I average about 20-30 down and 6 up.

I've considered leaving a few times. But I get a 25% discount and have a 6 line family plan. Call quality is awesome, but data is so-so. We're getting more and more lte coverage though. So it is improving.

I'm not switching any time soon. My bill would be through the roof. Last month, I broke 100GB of data transfer. Since I swtich the GN2 from the Evo4G, I was usually in the 50-65GB; preGH2 it was around 30-35GB.
I don't know any internet at work, so I use the phone. I watch a lot of sports and movies. I have around 6 to 7 hours of dead time to fill.

WE have been duped by Sprint people. Go to their website and you will notice the announcement of the iPhone 4Gs. You can even pre order it. This privilege was not given for the Samsung Galaxy S 2 ET4G.
Why...was this you say...it's obvious that Sprint knew it had made a deal to buy a **** load of IOS devices to secure this deal with Apple.so they didn't promote the galaxy ET4g. Now they have a big announcement tomorrow. They are going out of their way to let you pre order the iPhone as well.
Sad, and yes I feel they used us to get this deal, by canceling all perks, while giving us crappy service. My Photon has a red circle and no service, and I don't have a ET4G yet. Service has been terrible most of the summer all over NY and in mid town NYC.
If service was being interrupted to better service I may stick around, but not getting signal, failed messages, and paying for it and no credit with lies is unacceptable. Not being able to pre-order the phone I wanted because they made a deal with Crapple is also unforgivable. Price isn't the only thing that matters in a business relationship. It's I pay for service and expect to have it when I want it, not when you decide to give it.
Hell I was told by a customer service rep that I should be happy because I have had a lot of usage on my line. I then said yes that is true, but when I need my service to work it failed to deliver....I missed important calls. and meetings with people because of failed service.
People were telling me when they called the phone rang 3x's and hung up no message was able to be left. Others told me that they would get a network busy message please try again later. One rep verified this condition of calling me, and could not get through. The phone rang 3x's and the line just went dead when they called. I have been to tech centers, and have made many battery pulls, and software reboots, and finally I was told that there was a net work issue and they did not know when it would be cleared. Now when I call to talk about it they put me on hold no music and never come back to talk.
I just don't see it getting better, and when the next generation of phones IE Prime or what ever hits Verizon, and this is not cleared I am gone. When I feel I have to beg for service, or a credit for not receiving service after paying my bills for 15 years, and at one point having a $300 a month phone bills for business it's time to go.
My bill analysis shows that I average 240 msg a month, and average about 2g of data a month, and since I use my phone mostly for calls a Verizion 69.00 phone plan with 10 data, and 10.00 for data equals what I am paying now. So if this doesn't clear with the loss of perks I am outta here.lol
My service is better than ever...by far too. I never saw over 8Mbps download speed in Los Angeles on 4G and now....

When sprint cancelled premiere the writing was on the wall. It was on your august bill statement. In addition, sprint raised the admin fee by 50cents which invalidated every contract. Also on your bill statement.
Then sprint raised ETF from $200 to $350. Then they changed 30 day phone trials to 14 days. All this in september.
I am here on this board with an E4GT because of these changes - I had to get my final premiere upgrade prior to 10/2/2011. Otherwise I was fully planning on just waiting another month for nexus prime.
Now the E4GT has serious radio issues. Like OP, I had calls go to voicemail for hours at a time. Others have LOS, dropped calls, no signal bars, phone refuses to roam, etc.
Sprint's CEO said that 54% of sprint customer churn is due to not having an iphone. Thats a pretty hard fact to not pay attention to.
It is clear sprint is putting all eggs in one basket - the iphone basket. Sprint has lost money for 15 straight quarters. This will either save sprint or ruin sprint.
I've been with sprint 10 years now, and im no iphone fan. THe writing is on the wall: We'll let you keep your android devices and stay on our network, but we really don't care about you now. Of course I knew all this over a month ago and I was still willing to sign a 2 year contract in september for the Epic 4g touch. That was before all the LOS issues arose.
We'll see what the next 2 years brings. But the days of customer loyalty perks, retention plans, etc are clearly over.
I just switched from verizon to sprint, so I can give you a good preview of what to expect.
First of all, the service is top notch, and the lte speeds were incredible - I regularly got over 20 mbps in my area, many times close to 30. Of course, keep in mind that their lte service is fairly new, and at the time they only had 3 expensive phones that could use it, so that will likely change as more people upgrade and the network gets saturated.
So why did I leave this awesome service? Price. Everything across the board is way more expensive - service and phones. I paid $50 more for a Droid Charge than I did for my E4GT, and that phone isn't even in the same league. For our family plan with unlimited text, only 700 minutes, 2 data plans and 2 other phones, it was $230 a month. Our kids wanted smartphones too, but to add 2 more data plans would have put our bill up to $300. I'm not broke, but not rich either, and that cost is pretty hard to justify.
Also, keep in mind that all those policies Sprint just changed are the same policies Verizon has - 14 day return, $350 etf (even after being way overcharged on the phones up front), and no more New Every Two program.
The only carrier I've found with good pricing and great coverage (in my area) is Tmo, and I almost jumped to them, but no way in hell I want to risk being an att customer again.

Amen. I am tired of flipping on Roam Control and dealing on 1x every time I enter a building. What good is unlimited 3g if it is slow as molasses, and 4g which is spotty and hardly ever works indoors? At this point, I am off contract and if Prime comes to VZW and is not full of bloat I may be gone.

I am not just talking 3g/4G.....I get a red circle with a line almost daily. I have been missing calls. getting network busy try back later errors, and not receiving calls for hours a day. I missed getting calls with 4-5 bars in mid town Manhattan, and people told me the phone just rang 3 times and stopped ringing with no option to leave a voice mail. Others were told to "try back later network busy". This can only get worse if iPhone is coming. Eh, no big deal to me. But it sucks for those that take advantage of it. Thanks for sharing.
Yea its not earth shattering but its just another broken link in the chain of bad decisions by Sprint lately. The sad part is you sit back and go what next...
In my point of veiw all sprint has done the last year is raise cost for us! We customers who wanted 4g and bought the evo 4g most never seen or connected to 4g. 3G speeds are beyond terrible and downright bog to 1X kind of speed during busy hours. At this point the cost between Sprint and verizon service is closing more and more as we speak. So I can expect many more customers to think, Why not go to a service with great data and call connectivity. Sprint really had a good think going with cost effective plans, but since have taken away many things like discounts on all lines, premier customers, ect ect. I know they are still cheaper but for how long and when will we see good data speeds like other companies? We are dead last in that!
How on earth is two weeks early costly?
Personally my biggest regret is getting my S2...not because I don't like the phone, but Sprint's data service is just godawfully slow. I bet I use less than 50M a month. The second I get home I go to WiFi and when I'm out and about I just don't bother as the 3G is a joke.
Unless Sprint gets LTE here in Iowa by mid 2013, I'll pay the early termination fee for our lines and go to Verizon. When I'm a meeting a work I'll have my coworker look stuff up on his Galaxy Nexus...with the 8-12 MB download speeds from Verizon.
Life could certainly be worse, but my data speeds have nowhere to go but up.
I don't see this as a big deal whatsoever. The last line of the memo is the most important Imo. Everyone is eligible for upgrade the 1st of the month their contract is up. What more can you ask for?
As far as sprint saving money, not sure how really. I mean by allowing an early upgrade they are guaranteeing 22 months of payment out of you. Most of us would use that 2 weeks to get a new phone on launch, right? What happens when instead of getting a launch phone with them early, another carrier has a new phone being released when your contract is up? I'm blabbing, but what I'm saying is if they let me upgrade a little early I would be more likely to stay with that provider. But if I wait then I'm suddenly out of contract, which would make me shop around carriers.
Tl;dr
I see potential loss here, because they are basically giving sprint customers a reason to shop around while off contract instead of always keeping us in contract by allowing early upgrades.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
ib4 'would this allow me to get out w/o paying ETF', 'is this a breach of contract?', etc
Figures... Admittedly the 3g speeds are ridiculously slow... The only thing keeping me with sprint is the unlimited data... When that goes out the window so do I...

Exactly, if you treat this as a separate event then its not a big deal but if you start to add up all that has happened in the past year and since the Iphone came aboard and it may upset you especially if you took 2 minutes to have this page refresh due to network restraints....

Yeah, I do wish I had verizon for their great coverage, thats what I had before my parents kicked me off of their plan.
But hey I don't mind my virgin mobile: 1200min/unlimited text/unlimited data for $40 a month. I am pretty happy with that. Even have unlimited wimax 4g
I will probably switch over to sprint in a year or two though when I can afford it better.

I think this is a good move. You guys that are complaining about it need to see what we see in the stores. This 14 day early deal is confusing to customers and abused by third party stores. The cost savings are in reduced overrides that are done when customers come in confused. Id rather have a consistent, fair policy than one that can be used to work the system by some and not taken advantage of by others. The upgrade now promo is a perfect example of a policy change that makes sense. Customers in March could pay to reset their upgrade regardless of the plan they were on. Instead of yearly upgrades for customers on expensive plans, now anyone could get it with a little extra cash if they need it.

Don't let my girlfriend see your posts. She has a Verizon Gnex but the 4g is nearly useless. We live an hour away from the Quad Cities and Verizon's 4g only covers the core of that area.
At least with Sprint, there's no teasing just out of range prospect of 4g!

My opinion on this is, I still have a bad taste in my mouth after being screwed with 4g coverage so far, and if they do raise prices after finally getting decent 4g I may leave, because the two reasons I went with Sprint is the lower prices and the unlimited data. And I can get both of those at T-Mobile if they do raise prices. And I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels that Sprint is skating on thin ice
Unless it's only a few dollars, then if the 4g is worth it I'll stay. But anything more then like a 8 dollar hike I will be mad

That is true, I didn't think of that. They really couldn't unless they give us a free upgrade. Otherwise they will piss allot of people off and lose allot of business
But even so, asking for more money for a better network that should of been of better quality in the first place is pushing their luck

Usually when there's a rate increase, it doesn't affect existing customers until they upgrade or change their plan. Even then the rate increase doesn't always affect existing customers unless they change plans, due to grandfathering in on your existing plan. From his wording it would appear there would be no rate increase until late 2013 or early 2014 anyways, since he used the qualifying phrase "after our lte network is completed" which isn't scheduled until q4 2013. Sprints always been pretty good about grandfathering in existing customers anyways, I still have unlimited hotspots on 3 lines and its been capped at 5gb for new hotspots for over a year. I wouldn't care about a rate increase to keep unlimited data anyways, since every other carrier is capped at a Max of 10gb or throttles the piss out of your connection after 5gb(T-Mobile unlimited drops to 2mbps after 5gb and vzw and att only have 10gb plans Max and that's shared on family plans) even if my 5 lines went up $100 it would still he a better deal than any other carrier

Hell no. They raise prices up more than $1, I'm jumping ship to T-Mo. In Miami, T-Mo is fire, and if Sprint is gonna make me pay the same as T-Mo, but with their slow network, then T-Mo it is. They only thing I don't like is their phone selection. :/ I think I'll go for an Unlocked Gnex, with a SIM, or wait for the Note II to hit. But if I can find a Razr Maxx HD for GSM once it gets out, that would be the shiznit.

they do have the s2 and s3, and pretty soon the note 2, to me those would me one of my choices, but im locked in sprint untill 2014 so i can only speculate untill then
I don't want anymore higher prices. I've been paying 10 extra dollars on 3 lines since the Evo 4G came out. I've had horrible 3G data results since 2010. The wimax speed results I get around me aren't worth bragging either.

Yeah, I think I'll wait for the Note II to drop, because I don't even care about screen sizes anymore, all I want is a phone with a humongous battery that will be me through the day, and doesn't bulge my pockets. (I'm looking at you, extended batteries)
But then again, you can't go wrong with a Nexus, Nexus devices are always fairly decent, and development is lightning fast with minor kinks.

hopefully the next nexus is completely orgasmic super high end phone with samsungs exynos 5 processor in it with 2 gigs of ram. if that phone became reality i would seriously consider paying the etf selling my s2 and going to tmobile. I agree, the next nexus device having the above specs would be pretty orgasmic. As it is right now, though, exynos processors are always behind OMAP processors in terms of official development, which means more time between leaks, stuff breaking every five seconds, crappy battery life, the sort of things we are dealing with right now on ICS and JB. But if Google can figure it out, and also it into the next nexus, then it'll be worth every penny. Good thing is, my upgrade is right after Google I/O, so hopefully, Sprint picks it up, and when they decide to raise prices, I'll drop them, and trade the nexus for a GSM version, and pick up Tmo

Straight Talk
I bought the International, Unlocked N7000 Galaxy Note. The idea is to move to Straight Talk this weekend. The savings on two lines will pay for the ETF in less then 6 months. Plus I can sell the E4T for a decent price or maybe even trade it. I live in the Roseville / Sacramento area and rarely get 4G. Today it took 6 attempts to upload a picture to Facebook while in the heart of Roseville. This happens all the time. I have tried to get out of my contract since I am currently between jobs but they said "Sorry about you not having a job, but we can't let you out of the contract."
During precal the other day, my friend was playing on his brand new Tmo GS3. In that classroom, my girlfriend, and a few other friends have Sprint. All of them have iPhones, and we all have 1-2 bars fluctuating, though most of the times, they get no reception (Should've skipped out on crapple!) Meanwhile, this kid has 4 bars of service, and his data is so fast, I really wanted to cry.
Ontop of that, any Tmo phone in the Miami area has about 1-2 hours of extra battery life thanks to the badass Tmo towers in the area.
About a year ago, I had the choice of Tmo and Sprint, but I opted for Sprint because they had the better spec'd GS2 out of all the variants, and at that time, my opinion of Tmo was that it sucked balls (imagine me, this naive mother****er who had never tested either Tmo's or Sprint's speeds. Boy, I was really, really ****ing wrong about Tmo.
Right now, I'm considering selling my GS2 in a few months when the price of my etf goes down, and pay the etf with the price of the phone, and use the left overs+some extra money to buy a GS3 or a nexus or something. Or maybe I'll just wait it out till September of next year.
In any case, fingers crossed that Sprint decides to raise their prices, or change some term. I'll keep a close eye on the T&C of the bills every month, and all charges.

i pay $33 a month (radio shack employee plan)
My current T mobile plan is: Unlimited Minutes, Unlimited Text, and Unlimited Data (2GB of 4g, then throttled) for $79.99/month, plus a discount, so I pay $78 every month.
Now I never looked at Verizon plans because I have always heard they were so much more expensive.. so tonight I decide to look into it.. and I don't know If I am looking at them wrong or what..
But I see a plan.. SHARE EVERYTHING UNL TALK & TEXT 4GB $70 0612
Which I would read as Unlimited Minutes, Unlimited Text, and 4GB of LTE/4G Data for $70???
Is this correct or what? If it is that means I can get more with Verizon for less than T-Mobile? OR am I not seeing some extra fees and what not?
and BTW, with the 2GB on T mobile, I never go over, the most I used was about 1.8GB a month.. so I don't need unlimited data.
I just made a plan through their mobile website and it looks like they charge an extra $40 per smartphone on top of the plan price. The total for a 4Gb plan would be $110.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2
Their "share everything" plans are a great concept, but you probably overlooked the device fee ($40 per smartphone).
They charge a fixed fee for each device that ties into it, and then all devices share all data/voice/text allotments and you simply purchase enough for your combined usage.
It's a great concept for families where everyone uses just a little more than one tier gives them and so instead of all of them having to pay for the next higher tier, they can aggregate and their average ends up with a cheaper combined tier. As an example, if they have a tier at 500MB and everyone uses 600-700MB then they might all have to individually upgrade to the 2GB plan. But, if they combine then they can get away with a single 2GB amongst 3 family members.
One of the big benefits for individual users is that you can share data between your smartphone and your tablet and the tablet only had a $10 fee to buy in. Typically you access things on your tablet or your smartphone, so the usage on both is usually not much higher than the usage on a single plan with one device. Essentially, you could probably get a tablet and add it to your plan for only $10 a month total.
But, at $40 per smartphone I'm not sure how much of a boon it is for families compared to the "add a tablet for $10/month" scenario.
Wow! That's a joke! 40$ a month just because you're using one of their devices, that doesn't even make sense.
So after all the mobile is cheaper
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Yea the plans are REALLY deceptive. I think it's $30 per dumbphone and $40 per smart ON TOP of the $70 for the plan. So even when you share with a flip it's almost like adding a whole nother plan. Tmo is cool because you can add lines and NOT give them data/texting.
Yes, Verizon works well if you have three phones and not much data, ie two people is $75 per person shared 4GB. But for three smartphones it would be $64 for 4GB shared. t-mo is cheaper, but omg you better like edge and gprs even.

Uhhh.. grandfathered with data for one phone 2GB and two flips was $140, shared plan was $170. I went with tmo for $95.
Ohh you said PER PERSON. The difference is huge still.
Yeah I'll just stay away from them. To get the same plan with Verizon that I have with the mobile it would be 100$ plus tax... And right now I pay 78.
When I renew my contract I'll most likely get the 500mins (I checked my bills for the last three months and I never go over) unlimited text and unlimited 4G for 79.99$.
Orrr I might switch to simple mobile... Unlimited everything 50$ a month and they use the t mobile towers. I've had them before and had no problems.

I've used Sprint for years and their data is PAINFULLY slow. Even "4g" was giving me 1ish Mbps. I switched to VZW and the service is awesome but the cost is really bothering me. I'm currently on VZW paying $75.00 a month for 4gigs of data 450min and 1000 text messages. Every month I go over in texts and it pushes me to $80ish
I just ordered a S2 from Tmo and I'm going to check out the $30.00 prepaid for a couple of weeks to see how well the service compares to VZW. Upon telling my boss this he laughed and told me Tmo sucks in our area and he just switched to VZW from Tmo so I might be stuck on VZW for the forseable future.

On tmobile I get that for 78$. And don't have to worry about over fees because t mobile just throttles you. The highest speed test I got was 30mb. But average is 10mb and about 2.5 up

If you want cheap T-Mobile is the way to go. The 2 line unlimited plan for $99 cant be beat, unless you go prepaid. But you probably wouldn't be in the s3 forums if you were wanting prepaid.
If you haven't, try to see if you can get any work discounts. It would probably help a bit on costs.
Lol don't know why people make such a big stink over Verizon. I had them for the last 8-9 years and I switched to Tmobile. It was easier than expected honestly. Sure their network isn't as good as Verizon but it's not so distinctly different where if you put the same phone and did a Web browsing test that someone would tell a difference. If I am downloading a huge rom then it's noticeable but for forum surfing and websites (don't do much more than that at work since... Well I'm working lol and I have wifi at home) its just fine.
It's funny because if you knew me then you would know this doesn't sound like me because I am a spec freak... Also it isn't the cost that bothers me. I work 60 hours a week and I can afford Verizon its just the lack of value. Maybe it's because Verizon doesn't give a **** about its customers and they don't try to hide it. Maybe it's because I do work so many damn hours and if I don't see value in my spending I won't buy it. Idk. Either way I'm thrilled with Tmobile and have no reason to go back. Also, I'm in a sort of crappy Tmobile area where everywhere around me gets 5-25mbs and I'm in the one patch that gets less than 2 lol

Hi,
I have the Sprint Note II in my hands now and have till tomorrow to return it. I am thinking of switching to T-Mobile. I LOVE this phone.
I am only worried about differences in the phone (if there are any negatives) and of course coverage and speeds. I hear T Mob has some great speeds but not when you travel out of major cities. Anyone with experience of both carriers?
I love that Tmob is GSM since I do travel int. And I can get a small bus plan so my bill is only $50/month compared to $70 w Sprint. Plus, you get free hotspot and I don't need to root to get free tethering.
As far as phone, are there any major differences? Is T Mob usually behind on updates as I've had Multi Window since I bought the phone on the 4th?
Anything else you can tell me? BTW, my battery is phenomenal. I am sitting on almost 2 days of battery usage. Same for T Mob?
Thanks for any answers!!

There are more ROM options because many are pulled from ATT or the international version. Battery life is about the same. Multi Window is available on some ROMS but Tmobile hasn't officially been updated yet.

1 T-Mobile runs on a GSM network, So 3g speeds are pretty same as Sprint's LTE speeds. As because it's not true 4g but still faster in some cases.
2 because it is a GSM network the battery life is far superior.
3 has a SIM card
4 is possibly even cheaper in the store depending on if the running a sale or not. Before T-Mobile had it for 199 rebate so you pay the 300 but get a mail in rebate for 100.
5 I have checked both coverage maps from Sprint and T Mobile and to be honest are pretty much the same only in certain places 1 another might be better or not. All on T-Mobile note 2 forum as well.
by the way the free tethering 1 Will throttle you verses on the nation 4g without the tethering.

They still have the $100 rebate. They will also give me a $200 per line credit for switching over to the business plan. So the phone will cost me $460 tax included. I paid $320 for it from Sprint but my plan is $20 more a month which obviously adds up over the years.
I did check the coverage map and there's the rub. I live in Hawaii. Honolulu is great for either service. BUT, I also used to live on Kauai and still have a condo there so I visit often and could move back eventually and the service is 2G there! Yikes. But, I don't see me going back for a couple years at minimum for long term stay so if the service still sucks then, maybe I switch to someone else if I do move back.
Can you explain the free tethering throttle? I heard it's after 5GB which is enough for me. Thanks!
BTW, Thanks for the responses. I returned the Note II to Sprint last night and will likely be joining T Mob today!

I don't know if GsM supports HD voice but really, who cares.
I'm very happy to answer any questions you may have.

See i get 23% discount for Sprint, ATT, Verizon, but none for T-Mobile so for me its actually cheaper on sprint we pay $209.76 for 1500 Shared minutes(land-lines), Any Mobile to Mobile, Unlimited text, Unlimited Data. TEP on 3 Note 2's. for T-Mobile i would have to pay $245+ for same setup pretty much we pay about $5K every 2 years. T-Mobile would be $6K

Yeah they have a 5GB and 10GB of No throttling with WiFi Tethering hotspot, but if you go over than its Throttled. Whereas 4G Nationwide plan its all unlimited and you can simply get a wifi hotspot tether app for free.

I got 24% discount from Sprint so that's why I was at $70. With my small bus plan with T Mob, I'll be at $50.
Thanks for the info, but I don't go over 5GB anyway, so I'll be fine.
As far as tethering on Sprint for free, I had to root my EVO. I like that I don't even have to root or hack T Mob and have hotspot for free and get the GSM without doing all these mods I've been reading about on Sprint so you can try to insert a SIM.
But hey, we all have different needs and you're stoked with Sprint. I was with them for 15 years so I am sorta sad to leave haha. All I care about is coverage and if it's as good or better than Sprint, I think I'll be a happy camper!

yep i feel ya, used to be with VZW forever because i lived in Rochester, NY basically 4-6 Hours away from NYC. and that was pretty much best at the time up there and most reliable. but we moved to North Carolina and sprint was okay and much cheaper lol
I don't know if there will be any different prices with LTE. I would doubt it because my understanding is that it would be more efficient.

Once you hit your cap, if you have one, they reduce your speed. Having said that, your throttled speed would be most likely faster than Sprint anyway.

T Mobile throttles your speed at 2g speeds. 2g on T-Mobile is slow. Atleast on 3g with Sprint it's getting better and faster.

That's all relative. 3G for me with Sprint was, .02 kbps down and about the same down. It's been that way for over a year now.

I have a cap at 5GB but even when using Sprint for tethering and all that stuff I never even hit 3GB of data. I can pay $5 more if needed and I believe it is unlimited.
I did get a little bit of disappointment just now, because I am doing the business value plan, I don't get the $100 mail in rebate.
I do get $200 though for switching over, but the idea of getting $300 was really nice.

that's hilarious because I've been using 4g WiMAX and 3g constantly on my samsung epic for the last month before I bought the note 2 and I had reached 20 gigs of data
