Hi guys.
Does anyone know if there is a way to disable Fast Dormancy in the Note 8.0 3G version?
My previous phone was the original Note and I can disable the Fast Dormancy state by inputting a special dial code. (Note: I think it was done by dialing *#*#9900#*#*).
If there is no built-in option to disable it, does anyone know if there is an app to disable the Fast Dormancy state? I just rooted my Note 8.0 so perhaps some registry tweak?
Regards all.
Install fast dormancy toggle from play store, it should work.

Hi Guys,
I'm still new to the note 2. Was wondering if our note 2 requires fast dormancy if our teleco has this feature.
You should ask your mobile operator if they use Fast Dormancy. There were some ways to see if the feature is supported by the operator on older phones but I'm not sure if it's possible on the Note 2.
Anyway, if you bought the phone from the mobile operator and it is using the operator's custom rom, it should come with the right setting already.
One way to check (might not be the most effective or easy, but it works) is to use BetterBatteryStats and let the phone idle for an hour - then look at MultiPDP & secril_fd-interface and note how many times it woke the phone and how long it lasted. Then disable Fast Dormancy with Gokhanmoral's app from Google Play (it's made for SGS3 but also works on the Note 2) and repeat the process. Compare the results and use the one that drains less battery.
And what if those 2 wakelocks wake up phone even after i have disabled FD?

I have a Galaxy Note 8 rooted that reboots itself randomly when screen is off. I have tried different rom official updates with no luck. Contacted Samsung support service and they told me to do a factory reset but the problem persists.
On some reboots the note forgets all configuration and starts from scratch asking for goggle and samsung accounts, installing apps, etc...
any guesses on what is going on and how to solve it?
thanks

Btw, do you have K9mail installed?
I read on another forum that it might be it causing the reboots.
I will uninstall mine and see if it improves
No luck... it rebooted again

Sorry for being late, I do not have K9 mail installed.
I've forced to stop samsung push services and samsung all share cast and it hasn't rebooted since then (5hrs ago)

I do think I've disabled the Sam push app and disabled or uninstalled the Allshare stuff, and mine's been stable.
Mine was unstable when I first got it and I was using multiwindow with a lot of apps (via the multwindow manager app in the market). Since I stopped doing that it's been happier.
Do you know how to prevent allshare cast to reinstall itself automatically?

dear developer friends..
any way to do this?
Hello, there should be an in game setting for permission of using network and/or only wi-fi. The default setting should be the only wi-fi and you should change it.

I would like to know how is your experience with using VPN on mi9se. I have setup surfshark VPN app on my mi9se to be always on. But I'm very disappointed with the performance. The phone just slows down to a point that it becomes useless unless I disable the VPN.
These are the settings I have setup :
Battery optimization : No restrictions
Always on enabled under VPN settings.
Background start enabled
Auto start enabled
App locked in recents screen
Mobile data disabled during screen off set to disabled.
With these similar settings the same app runs excellent on my oneplus 5t.
Is anyone using VPN with this phone? How have you set it up and what's your experience with the phone speed?

No problems with PIA. I'm not using always on, I enable it when I need it.
Even though I am not using PIA (i have expressvpn), but it seems to slow the phone down with their native app, but openvpn seems to make it a little better. Also more consistent connection.

I am also a Surfshark user. It works well on Mi9SE and I haven't face any problem yet. You should check, maybe the problem is something else.

It seems that there is a serious lag in mobile data after unlocking phone. After I turn on screen using fingerprint reader , it takes about 10 seconds for mobile data to start working. Cannot refresh pages on chrome or do anything else. Anyone else having this problem. Tried resetting APN - maybe there is some setting in that section that im missing ? MVNO setting different than none?
I'm on MIUI Global 12.0.18. , full stock. On wifi - no such problems.
Try changing apn type to default, hipri
It shouldn't change much, but it possibly can help
