One x+ screen it's ok for hox! - HTC One X

HEY GUYS!
My friend broke his hox+ and the htc change his screen with a normal HOX (with white buttons, because in italy were not screen for hox+ yet) but the flats are the same!.....so i bought the one x+ original screen and it works great on my hox with RED BUTTONS!
If anyone was interested look at this:
cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190841565199
THE SCREEN IS IN ITALY YET, READY TO BE SHIPPED!
CONTACT ME IF INTERESTED, I COULD BE A LITTLE DISCOUNT OUT OF EBAY! )))

I do not understand why anyone would buy an expensive hox+ screen if hox screen costs under $70
This is very good news for hox+ owners.

Because the Red buttons are really aggressive now i ve just order also the White back cover....anyway the hox+ mounts a gorilla Glass II ...Is not the same of the hox....
And if Someone is interested i could sell it out of ebay for 110€ europe shipping included!! for now only one left!!

www.gpsmidlands.co.uk. Prices very good replaced my screen while I waited
www.pocketpctech.com did a great job on my iPaq 4150 also got the RAM upgrade, fantastic!
I can't stress enough how good screen protectors are. HTC should think about putting them in the box with new phones if you ask me.

That is actually a very good idea, should be a standard accessory for any touchscreen PDA/Phone.
LCD Replacement.
The biggest issue with DIY LCD replacement is that some of the panels vary within the same model.. eg Dopod 838Pro panels seem to be different within the one model!
We've been selling the LCD / Touchscreen kits now for a while (with tools)
http://store.pressdigital.com.au/dopod-838pro-imate-jasjam-replacement-touchscreen-p-4715.html
but find they only work on the newer units.
.. Make sure you get an LCD WITH touchscreen if you're going to DIY it.. They're too hard to get the alignment perfect otherwise..
Good luck

I agree with you guys entirely that screen protectors are great, though I don't think that you'd get something much better than a cheapy from the manufacturer, which is not much better than gladwrap (tm). Dopod ones aren't too bad, but still. Most of your "buy 20 Belkin (or similar) ones for $20" aren't much better. If you're looking, buy Martin Fields screen protectors - they are GOLD!! Sure, $40 for 2 is more expensive, but they'll EASILY outlast your PDA!! The MF ones are made from some NASA-developed rubber or something and are awesome. We've been selling them for ages - http://store.pressdigital.com.au/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=martin+fields&osCsid=6f1194088498df6629265ce05a116c08&x=0&y=0 - and, if you're wanting to not have to worry about major upgrades, this is the key. But, as Andy said, if you're going to buy a screen, you'd be some kind of fool not to get one with the touch attached, 'cause it's just way too much stuffing around- if you get it right at all, which few do!
Hope it gets sorted out quickly for you!

Screen protector
Hi guys
When I bought my Tytn, I had a screen protector with it, but please don’t use it, I will not use it to protect a nokia 3310 screen , it’s a verrrrrrrrrrrry bad quality of screen protector.

I damaged my brand new HTC Eris digitizer, and got a replacement from RepairsUniverse.com

[Q] Need a new LCD screen

Any one know where in the UK I can get a replacement LCD screen on the cheap in the UK? I dropped my Defy when getting in the car and ran it over. DOH.... The outside of the phone doesnt have a single dent or scratch and the phone is still completely usable its just the LCD has cracked across the length of the screen.
Really? im the only person in the world to have a cracked lcd screen on the defy???? lol. has any one got a broken defy they wannaget rid of for partsmust have a working lcd of course lol
the cheapest way is to get one one ebay and replace it by yourself
I did try ebay there was only one american seller selling them and it was postage within usa only so it was no good as im in the uk.

that is a LCD Display Lens Panel or touch screen digitizer as it is also known, I dont need that as mine is still intact. What I need is the actual LCD panel/display. Thanks for trying tho.
yeap, wrong item
you can try order from here http://www.wirelesspartsinc.com/motorolamb525charmlcdscreen.aspx not cheap
nice find, thank you. but with shipping its gonna be over $100 dollars, i think i will just hold off till there are more available here in the uk so the price comes down a bit. hopefully lol.
so i contacted my local motorola repair center and they said a new screen will cost around £59 so got it booked in i thought it was quite a good price as to buy one of a internet shop if your lucky to find one selling the screens would work out closer to £100 with postage and then you gotta fit it yourelf.

Replace HTC One X Shell

Hi,
I have had my HTC One X Grey since April and I was disappointed with myself for letting the shell get so marked and scratched.
I have seen how scratch and mark resistant the white shell is in videos, does anyone know if it is more resistant than the grey?
Also, I have seen replacements for both colours new on eBay for around 30 pounds listed as 'Genuine' and 'original'. They are from Hong Kong so I was sceptical about whether they would be exactly the same as what you would find on a new one X, so I asked.
They replied "Hello friend, I assure you this item is 100% new and original".
So what does the public think?
Is white better than black and do you think the replacement will be the same quality I got in the first place?
Also, is the procedure fairly risk free?
Thanks,
ORStoner
I have ordered battery housing for my sensation from ebay, hong kong and it was original.

How the hell would you replace it?
you have to take the screen assembly out. it is removed from the screen down not worth the hassle . i still dont understand why people dont invest in a 10 dollar sleeve and a 2 dollar screen protector for phones that cost 600+ dollars is beyond me???
It has a screen protector and a gel housing but it often slips off when I drop it..
I got a reply from one of the sellers saying "Yes, of course it is original it is by HTC". I don't know whether to be assured or expect it to have many flaws in the building process .
So what does everyone think about the white or the grey?
I hate the gray color and want to change the housing to white.
Is it easy, will it void the warranty?

Cheapest screen assembly (led + digitizer)

Hello all,
So after the nth drop, my note has a crack in the upper left corner of the screen. Not an issue yet, but I can foresee it delaminating eventually.
I have found the screen assembly on fleabay for ~$180.
it's this the cheapest price available or is there a cheaper one somewhere? I imagine these eBay sellers must be running a significant profit margin.
Thanks in advance,
Roman
Sell your note and keep 180 $ and add it together and buy a new phone.

You can buy a second hand note with $250...
So, yeah, just sell it (maybe hard), and just buy a new phone.

Maybe. Is there a member on this board who has superbricked their phone and wants to sell it? I would pay about 100 bucks for the screen, as long as there are no scratches.
It is possible to replace just the glass...
There are many videos on Youtube for the S3.. I did the same with my Note

need a new lcd & digitizer

just thought i would post this here in case someone is in need of a new lcd,,i have been reconditioning the htc and with replacing the lcd on the htc one x iv always found that all the replacement screen i have had in the past the back,,, home,,,menu buttons lights dont work,,this is because on the original screen there are three little dividers between the digitizer and lcd,,which the replacement ones dont have
here is a good quality replacement lcd & digitizer for under £40 wich has the dividers installed and all the lights work
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Original-...406&pid=100015&prg=1006&rk=1&sd=271218303977&
not so much dividers as refractive plastic - like optic fibre that guides the light from the leds to the buttons. Why the leds arent over the buttons in the first place ....
well ye that explains it better,,but still the same thing the lights dont work properly with out them....
I just bought this one to fix mine - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310674066973?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

goog good have are the lights working
I'm still waiting on delivery so i'll let u know when i get it fixed
These probably wont be the SLCD2 screen for that price. So I wouldn't expect them to be half as good as the original HOX screens.
no .but i think iv probably bought and repaired over a 100 odd one x and resold them on eBay, and 4 the price thay are pretty good for the price and never had any complaints.. thay why i put it up on here..but we all have our own opinions
