1. ICS On Screen Buttons (fitting for our MDPI Screen [30 dip])

Is this an all-or-nothing mod? For example, if I want the status bar but no on-screen buttons, is this option available?

u want it?
I don't like on-screen buttons because they take up space on a screen that is already small enough. I would prefer to have the modded lockscreen and/or Jelly Bean status bar as individual options.
will do it tomorrow
Wow - thanks.

Oh yes, I'm happy to test it. I'll just do a backup via CWM, then apply it and revert if needed.

Ah, OK. I'll go ahead and apply the mod, take screenshots and post them here.
Sorry - I got a little confused as to what was to be done.
I wanna help you, but I can't because these modifies are related to framework-res (all the mods), so you should do many version, but in this way you can't install two mods of them, for example. It's impossible...!

BTW .. In newer cm9 you can enable onscreen button in setting ..
Is it possible to combine it with status bar?

To all those who want softkeys enabled at their rom if they don't have that option you can edit build.prop ( it must work with most jelly bean and ics roms)
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
Reboot
Softkeys enabled
works great. Thanks

LMT
hi, as an alternative to standard softkeys, you could use the app LMT (requires root)
it supports gestures, expanded desktops and Pie Softkeys with long press function as in Paranoid rom and some more nice features
Could be interesting for some

Is there a way to customize the "Recent" soft key to "Menu"? When I added the script while using the CM10 rom, I could change them around in the navigation settings. I recently switched back to the stock JB version, but added soft keys because my hardkeys stopped working after I dropped it in a spa
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Cheers!

Nope u can't edit it with this mod... For doing this u have to edit other files
Is there any way to make the Soft Keys smaller.. (at least 50% smaller than its original size/height)... its because my phone (the Galaxy S Advance) has a resolution of only 480x800.... I just feel like there is not enough space on my screen to be honest, that's why I'm asking this....
(Post Added)
- I can't take Screenshots anymore, using my Home + Power Button
- My dialer app is getting covered with the Soft keys.. so I can't call anyone because I can't tap on the call button

I quit like it, but I want On-screen buttons cuz I'm sick of pressing key.
I've tried edit build.prop, but the size is too large and I heard that it cause freeze sometimes (m not sure) .
So, anyone has it? Please kindly share it to me.

Hello XDA.
I have a problem concerning the latest firmware for the Sony Xperia S (6.2.B.1.96).
The problem is that the softkeys were remapped in this update, atleast thats what my uncle says, it may be that he had a very old firmware before updating and that the remap was done earlier.
What i would like to know is: Is it possible to reset the softkeys to the state they were before he updated his phone?
//Matte
Edit: lol, just noticed that was my first post... ever on XDA, but ive been a member since 2010
