Hello XDA.
I have a problem concerning the latest firmware for the Sony Xperia S (6.2.B.1.96).
The problem is that the softkeys were remapped in this update, atleast thats what my uncle says, it may be that he had a very old firmware before updating and that the remap was done earlier.
What i would like to know is: Is it possible to reset the softkeys to the state they were before he updated his phone?

Edit: lol, just noticed that was my first post... ever on XDA, but ive been a member since 2010

Is this an all-or-nothing mod? For example, if I want the status bar but no on-screen buttons, is this option available?

u want it?
I don't like on-screen buttons because they take up space on a screen that is already small enough. I would prefer to have the modded lockscreen and/or Jelly Bean status bar as individual options.
will do it tomorrow
Wow - thanks.

Oh yes, I'm happy to test it. I'll just do a backup via CWM, then apply it and revert if needed.

Ah, OK. I'll go ahead and apply the mod, take screenshots and post them here.
Sorry - I got a little confused as to what was to be done.
I wanna help you, but I can't because these modifies are related to framework-res (all the mods), so you should do many version, but in this way you can't install two mods of them, for example. It's impossible...!

Will this only work with stick kot49h or is it enough that it's based on kot49h? Like purity or rastakat? And u think if it doesn't work on something like that it might work on a stock ROM with couple added features or speed tweaks or something? Tried on cataclysm and no luck

Sorry the attachment is only for stock rom..but if you want it for your rom, just give me the systemui.apk and framework-res.apk from your rom.. I'll do it
Well I'd ask if you could on either cataclysm or omni but would that be something that every time an update for that ROM comes out you have to redo it or is it more like a one time thing?

If you flash new update of course theres new systemui mod apllies and overrides this..If you want exact same colour maybe it can last as I can make the flashable zip for that..But if you want this colourful one, there's need some modification in xml lines differ from the same colour..
Yea cause my worry is omnirom is a nightly ROM so Yea I'd hate to ask you everyday...

I dont know..If you have the systemui of the rom give it to me I need it to compare with the stock one
I'm sorry to be annoying but forget that, gnome closed that ROM. I'm just looking for a ROM that is close enough to stock to use this mod and the holo light mod for stock so I can just customize through xposed gravity box module. I really just care about android looking more appealing and how I think KitKat should have looked

Well usually this a good ROM that has a ton of under the hood modifications for speed and battery but still stock but I can't find anything so if you don't know of anything like that I might just do complete stock

If you have rooted phone you can use xposed installer and nexus navbarz module to make your navbar look like this.
There is no option to make it like that..
Sent from my C6502 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Maybe you can create your own theme / change a theme to have those softkeys
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2714871
If you have root you can use the Z2 buttons with SoftKeyZ app ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.janis605.softkeyz ) from Play Store. Its inexpensive, works well and you can try lots of different combinations quickly.
Already buy it but the its a little small than the original..
Sent from my C6502 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Now you can make your own Buttons with xposed
