i-Blason HD Matte Bubble Free Screen Protector - One (M7) Accessories

This screen protector looks very interesting, and the fact that it's reusable makes it that much more appealing. I always seem to have a problem installing screen protectors on my phones, and the HTC One was no exception. I'm wondering if anyone would be kind enough to review and post pictures of the phone with this protector on.
It reminds me of the Moshi i-Visor screen protectors for the iPhone 4/4s/5. It seems that this screen protector offers scratch protection around the phone's black bezel portion as well as its screen. There are no pictures other than the stock photo posted on the website so I'm wondering if the black border is see-through or if it completely shields the capacitive home and back buttons as well as the HTC logo. That might be the only no-go for me.

Looks promising. How does it compare to the tempered glass protector from SGP?
http://mobile.brando.com/Brando-Wor...Rounded-Edition-HTC-One-_p09603c1619d008.html
It needs a firmware update to work but does that apply to the i-Blason as well? Doesn't it cover the touch sensitive buttons?

I just ordered one today should be getting it tomorrow I'll post pics and a quick review.

I got it a day late than promised as the description says it takes seconds to install, it fits great on the screen has cutouts for the buttons and logo the only thing it has a not so HD finish, has a huge impact on the ones great display

wait, so it doesn't have a blk border that covers the capacitive area?
The picture they show makes it look like it has a blk border and covers the whole screen area and blacks out the capacitive buttons.
Son of A... That the only reason I ordered it.
Why couldnt HTC make the buttons invisible when the backlight is off like on the S3 and 4? Makes it not look so outta place when using on softkeys.

Thank you Jrtedz, and welcome to XDA!
The screen protector does look nice, but the fact that it only covers the screen is unusual.
I already have a screen protector on so I may pass on these screen protectors.
When you say it makes the screen not-so-HD, what do you mean? Does it make the screen appear grainy?
I've ready a few reviews that this screen protector has that sort of problem.
Anyways, appreciate the short review and pics, you deserve a cookie lol.

Thanks and yeah pretty much has a grainy finish to it didn't really like so I'll wait till the tempered one comes in

Am I the only one who noticed that in their picture they used an evleaks leaked promo shot of the One?

Mine came in today I want my money back.
So you can get an idea what screen protector actually looks like.

Cool. Thanks for the headsup. I read your previous comment from the other day and understand what you mean. Its disappointing that they didn't provide the product that they pictured. I also noticed the evleaks watermark, so obviously something was up there too.

Hi, I actually ordered Brando's tempered glass protector and I tried on my One already... but I was very disappointed coz the Back and Menu key are not functionable at all :crying:
Then I email them to ask for solution or properly a refund, but they told me to update the firmware..... Actually, I'm using Trickdroid 5.5.4 at that moment, how come still not working?! So, I try to ask them for refund but no replies at all until now.....

Matte Screen Protector for Gnex

When I had my S2 I went through a lot of screen protectors, the one that I stuck with was the SGP Steinheil Matte series.
It was the only one that didn't give me a rainbow shimmer effect.
I want a matte screen protector for my Gnex but it seems SGP doesn't make one yet for the Gnex.
I bought a highly rated matte screen protector from Amazon called Sir Lancelot's Armor, and it sucked big time. I kept it for about 15 minutes before ripping it out.
Any hints guys?
I hate swyping with my glossy screen.
I know this is gonna sound goofy but i actually think the screen protecter that comes with the otterbox defender is quite matte, and does a decent job of "reducing the rainbows" If it were. Definitely a case with great build quality and if you don't have asurion (not sure what your carrier does for phone insurance) then it would also be something id recommend (dropped the phone in that case a good 5-10x without the slightest ding, or scratch...I know you weren't looking for cases but most "good" stick on ones have been glossy that I've seen...
I picked up a 3 pack of matte screen protectors off Amazon last week and just installed one last night. It only cost about $2.99 free shipping. They've passed my polarized sun glasses to test.

The Ringke Slim case comes with 2 dry application screen protectors that are Matt and worked with the case very well.. I used it for a while until I got the XO Skin. I switched because I like the clear look better then the matt look.
These might be the screen protectors.

Okay yea i saw the case on ebay, I thought it was just a bumper...still a nice case though. But I wasn't looking for a case, rarely use my phone with a case so I figured I tried a bumper. But I will probably try to get a matte screen

Be careful, only InvisibleShield owns the right/patent to make clear body protectors.
I already bought skins from them during their fathers day sale (I think it was that) so I'm good but a good sale still.

Do these get the orange peel effect? I was debating between this and XO Skins.
Nice. Been using their product ever since I gave them a try. Won't be looking at others for awhile. I came from Zagg and Gadgetshieldz and this has been the best so far
could someone please post photos of how it fits on the display? also is it rubbery like zagg and xo skins or smooth like glass?

looks a bit rubbery like zagg (orange peel effect), can you confirm that?
why is the display white??
Compared to zagg and sgp flex, this has the least orange peel effect that I've encountered. It's a white screen because I took a pic before removing the backing of the skin.
Still on stock Nexus and loving it!
ah, that explains
one last question: how's the spacing between the screens borders and the skin? judging from the pic i'd guess ~1mm, but it's really hard to see. and how does it cope with the screens rounded top/bottom which apparently is the reason so many skins are like 6-8mm shorter than the display.
asking because with shipping to europe it's not so cheap and I'd rather avoid buying a skin not suited for me. would go for the display only btw, not liking those full body skins anymore. they were nice with "square" phones but the rounded corners requiring tiny patches of skin with borders collecting dirt killed it for me.
Perhaps this could help?
Still on stock Nexus and loving it!
Could you take a pic of the orange peel?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
couldn't see any orange peel on the pics posted so far
I'm not gonna deny the slight orange peel because there is some but it's nothing compared to zagg or sgp flex. Those are like ocean waves. I'm not a good photographer. This is the best I can do

hm, before that last photo i was ready to buy one. but that pic looks quite orange peely.
I hated the Zagg skin and used a medium expensive clear but pretty thick plastic one on my Galaxy S. Ideally I'd prefer one of those but can't find one that's a guaranteed fit, most skins don't cover the screens edges
Never mentioned no orange peel effect. Some yes but not as bad as zagg or flex. It even took me quite awhile to find an angle that would show the peel. On a regular use, it's hard to see. Of course it's all up to you.

[Review] Fantom Tempered Glass Screen Protector

The idea of having the best and ultimate protection for our phones is great and luckily, X Gear had brought this to life with a tampered glass screen protector.
The screen protector was packaged up very nicely with its own separate box. A cleaning cloth was also included in the package.

Installation itself was really easy. What I did was peal of the first layer, which revealed the adhesive side, and aligned it properly according to the cutouts. After having it lined up, I just released the other portion of the screen protector. It stuck very nice and felt great.
The glass wasn't that thick at all; according to the website, it measures only .4mm thin. I had encountered a couple minor problems on my end, such as a decrease in touch sensitivity on the bottom half of the screen as well as a crack when I tried to rearrange the position of it. It might only be a defect with this particular screen protector but I am going to ask for a replacement and see if that helps at all.
After a couple weeks of using it, it provided a magnificent type protection that kept the actual screen's surface nice and clean, and I have to say it is worth the investment and trying it out.
Link to product: http://www.xgearlive.com/products/android/samsung/fantom
I have noticed that while the outer surface of the screen protector seems to be very scratch resistant the side with the adhesive seems to be easily scratched. when applying the SP i noticed some lint on the adhesive side of the SP so i used the provided MF cloth to clean the screen upon installing the SP i noticed a slight scratch. Despite this one minor nuisance i find that i am EXTREMELY satisfied with the Fantom SP, almost everyone that has seen my phone with the SP on has no idea by look or feel that i infact have an SP on the phone until I mention to them that there is a Tempered Glass SP on it.
I should also add that it fits perfectly with out any interference to the SGP Ultra Hybrid case that I use.
Thanks for the review, I'm definitely going to try one out for myself.

Nice Review! I'm tempted to buy one now.
i know there are some people that don't seem to have issues, but i'd highly recommend against this protector. it kills the touch sensitivity on the bottom half of the screen and nav bar. i had to remove mine last week due to the sensitivity issues. looks like you pay for return shipping & 20% return fee, too, if you find you don't like it. read this thread:

MIME USA vs. Power Support Screens

I got the "shock absorbing" screen protector from Motorola by Power Support, while it was nice it was plastic. So it didn't feel the same, fit on the device nice...but it still had a "tacky" feel like ZAGG if you've ever tried those. I've used it a few weeks, held up nice, just didn't like the feeling.
Here are some images of it installed:

As soon as I found out MIME USA was getting one, I contacted them. I got it yesterday & installed it, instantly fell in love. Fits on device like a glove, no more "tacky" feeling screen on my device. There is 2 small "bubbles" on top/bottom right side on the device, hopefully with time they go away. Also, I think there's a small lint in the middle of the screen, hopefully it doesn't bother me too much.
Here are some images of it installed:
Overall both are awesome screen protectors, but the glass on the MIME USA will always win me over. If you have any questions about it let me know & I will do my best to answer them

You really can't see it from the pictures. I'm not saying "Don't get one", but unless you have a bulker case, in my situation--a Supcase--then it won't work that well.

Screen Protectors, screen shape

I was wondering how screen protectors fit on the screen. All the screen protectors I look at mention that the screen has rounded edges. Does the screen round down right at the edge or is there a little space to add a screen protector properly?
I was wondering if it's like the iPhone. I know when I try to add a screen protector to an iPhone 6 there is no wiggle room because of the way the glassrounds off right at the edge of the "screen panel"

If you buy a good one, the screen protector ends at almost exactly where the glass curves away. I'm using Spigen's and they fit pretty nicely.

Does the glass curve away right at the end of the viewing panel/LCD screen or is there some space between the edge of the viewing panel and the curve.
It's hard to tell from the pictures and there are no stores close to me that have the HTC 10 on display so I can't even go look at one in person.

Thanks for the pictures. I hat how companies are rounding the screens like that. Then the screen protectors can't cover the whole glass front.
I gave up on a tempered glass one for now and not a fan of PET, went with the Unicorn Beetle case which has a built on one and its decent. atleast the whole screen is protected. I don't use the fingerprint so I wish the hole for that wasn't there to prevent and dust from getting in there but o well. Its pretty tight against the screen. but its the plastic type which always wears out fast in my experience but its great for now.
