Just a heads up, the "ultra pixel" is a type of camera. It's hardware, not software.

The camera app in that thread just tried to emulate what Ultrapixel is about.

I know it's hardware but it was showed in portal news, someone modified another camera app to compress 8mp photos to 2mp. Same pixel count but smaller image. So that's making difference in photo quality. That's what I mean by ultra pixel

You can modify the Vignette application and it will work. Done that and tried on Nexus 4 but I sucks in telling what is a good image and what is bad so I cannot tell the different much.

The other features would be also great.

I done this too but couldn't make app work. Edited app doesn't start on me. Just freezes when I open.

I am very interested in the camera app in the OP's link

This is an epic idea. I have been itching to have ISO settings, really badly. That app looks like its for ICS, but that might only be because I read the first couple posts...

Subbed.
I'd like to see if this goes anywhere. I pushed the apk to my system apps and only got FC's on the camera over and over again, gallery was fine though.

I'm not a dev, maybe someone work on it. I pushed apk to system too, as it's based on aosp, I think these features are not imposslible for us. We need to get some attraction from devs :fingers-crossed:

That work for me but I have always a better photo with stock Camera app...

Iphone like folder for android?

You know how you can make a folder on the iphone and then throw apps in it and get a preview of the apps in there?...is there the same for android? Is there an app that lets you do that? Like simi folder and such?

If you longpress on a homescreen, one of the options is to create a folder. Select it and then select "new folder". Longpress on an app and then drag it to the newly created folder. Clicking the folder, afterwards will be you a transparent view of its contents. Try it and see if this will suffice for you.

Search for the xperia launcher in the android section. Its actually a really cool launcher that has exactly this. Just pull two apps together and boom.....folder.
That thread also has some decent customizations for it too.

Technically the Razr V3X had dual cameras, I used to have that phone, but no body else even had a phone able to video chat, and this was back in 06-07.
folder organizer is another app to check out if the others don't do it for you

Yeah, Folder Organizer is great. The built in folder functionality works fine too, but Folder Organizer adds some nice features, like icons for the folder.

Just downloaded it from there... and it's acting wacky! The image is a bit skewed and then the preview of the pic it took is also blown up too much.
Gonna extract it from MIUI for Inc2 which is what I probably should have done.

That link leads to an app called Paper Camera, this is called Paper Artist. I tried to look at the video on that site but it wont run for me.
EDIT: Had to edit my response. Seems though it's called something different, it does make use of the camera. Maybe what we have is an updated version since the name is different? Anybody want to chime in?

Adjust screen color - possible?

Compared to my other devices the colours are pretty flat, this has been pointed out in several reviews, too. Is there a way, an app or whatever, to adjust the color? Say as you would on a tv, or something like the on SG phones with the different picture modes?
