black google search box from maddoggins 8 screen mod

anybody know where i can find that black google search box for the maddoggins lockscreen mod? Or which apk and files to pull to use it? I tried just pulling the google serach apk but that wasnt it. Any help is appreciated. I love that one but running eh17 and so cant flash it quite yet unless he decided to do it.

Tried it and got the regular search box.. some reason on eh17 it didn't even let me install the apk even after I deleted from titan backup and rebooted

I think this is the one you want. Its almost a smoky black transparent one. I extracted it from White Shadow theme.. http://db.tt/GtgIki6. Make sure you are on Deodexed version of EH17. I don't think you will need to push it with a file manager.

Not sure if that's the one either.. it doesn't lok like any other search boxes I've seen.. its like a glossy black black and thinner.. I tried dling that link but it crashed my browser each time and when it did go through it wouldn't install at all even after removing the stock.. now gotta do a restore cause the search box isn't in sync wth the keypad. I actually have to click on the browser instead of just typing.. thanks anyways though

No clue, I'm currently looking for it too. I have a regular modded version but it's just not the same.

I don't know why the one I posted doesn't work unless its tied to gapps. It has a blacked out icon instead of blue....let me dig some more. I know of 3 places that have it.

You are talking about one like this screenshot right? I changed my wallpaper to make it more visible...EDIT...ok, I found out its NOT tied to framework. Its the widget you want right? It doesn't work by pushing it with Root Explorer?

some reason its not installing. this is driving me crazy lol..

No flash in browsers

I used to be able to open flash pages in opera and uc browser but now they do not work. Anyone having this problem?

We no longer have flash on our phones. Thank apple.
They even pulled it from the play store! Ive got a copy I can give you, but cant get it till later. Maybe someone else can help w that? Check themes and apps section too btw.

Apple has been pressuring everyone to ditch flash for years. From what ive heard Jobs HATED Adobe which is why no apple product ever supported flash. If its not Apple tech or built specifically for and around apple, this is what they would do. Iphones dominance early on is what helped them succeed in killing flash.
If apple doesn't like something they will go to extremes to destroy it. They have to protect their one good idea per decade somehow I suppose!

It's there a way to keep flash on my phone. It's not updated but some people say it works fine.

I use boat browser from the android market, and still have flash. make sure you check
Flash plugin always on

Ya i checked settings and tried both user interfaces. I'm not that much of a noob. I tried 4 browsers. It works after installing the apk file i found online. I was really pissed off. The flash installer from Google play doesn't work. Search Google for flash player apk.

S-Voice From GS4

Here is the new S-Voice APK from the GS4, credit due to sammobile
[dot] com
Just install it like a normal APK, replace the existing S-Voice if prompted. May want to do a Nandroid prior to trying this. I have only tried this on JB, probably WILL NOT work on ICS!

It just installs like a normal APK. I;m not sure of all the new features, I know they optimized the UI, not sure what all they changed.

As far as I can see from playing 5 minutes with it, only the driving mode is different.
Makes sense since they mentionned on the launch of the S4 that the app was now called S Voice Drive (or something like that).

I'll rehost it for you on my own server - so we don't have to keep dancing with file sharing hosts..
I have unmetered bandwidth so we shouldn't have to worry about links dying and what not..

It's just a regular old apk file... Just install it like you would any other app!

I pulled these from the system dump. I have a feeling that the AccuWeather app doesn't work on out phones. There was only the weather.apk and the weather deamon.apk.
Since it was a odexed ROM did that mean they had to have their odex file included and only worked on a odexed ROM ?

It's not laggy for me on any of my development devices, including my N7. Not sure why the difference, but I'm sure the next update will resolve a lot of the issues.

I kinda like the ui everything seems more fluid.

Don't flame me on this but how the hell do I install this apk. It fails when I try through file explorer in the OS and it won't recognize it in TWRP.

Remove your old google play store via titanium backup. Reboot then install the apk via root explorer. This zip is not flashable

Should just click on the apk that you download and it will update your current play store. Did for me anyway. No uninstall needed.

I stated that he might need to uninstalled is if he flash a inverted gapp of the google store that's lock on a old version. It happened before w me. Just a clarification.
I didn't have any inverted gapps or special inverted google store so I just ran the apk as well.

Might I suggest using www.goo.gl for the link, that way you can see how many people click on it.

I got the google play service 3.2.25 update pushed yesterday to my gnex by google without needing to update manually using the apk in this thread.

Mine updated on its own and never seen it happen

Just goto this site https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager also make sure you have it enabled in phone security settings, device administrators. Also their is some settings in the Google settings app.

The above links work and you can also find it by going to the Play Store in a web browser and then clicking on the gear icon on the right side and then you will see the Android Device Manager there too.

This seems useless after I change my Google password (which would the first thing to do since thief has my phone as a authenticator).
