So today i was so excited for unlocking my phone that i mistakenly downloaded the wrong lupus kernel. Now i can't flash it again, or do anything!
Can someone tell me what to do or if i did indeed kill my phone?
Xperia play R800a
Kernel: v9 LiNaRo-720p Recording
I wanted LuPuSv8-720p-jB-Kernel.img
I don't think that it's bricked. If you can't flash another kernel try to flash a stock firmware.
What do you mean you can't flash firmware.
When you plug usb cable with pressed search or back button, do you have any light on power button.
Try to use Sony recovery software or use Fastboot and flash stock firmware.

I flash Kernels with Flashtool (plug in with press search) and flash kernel. You can also flash a stock firmware with Flashtool (plug in with press back)

It's usually written on page where the ROM is posted, just check back to that ROM page and search kernel used. Remember, if it's entirely new, flash kernel first then flash ROM. If the ROM use the same kernel you've flash before, just flash ROM only
Hope it helps

That one goes with stock kernel, doomkernel snd arcknight.
Did you flash it over a gingerbread rom ? If so first flash a stock ics with flashtool and then go for the MooDeD.

Flash stock ROM only via flashtool ver. 18.5 or 18.6
Hi guys!
I have an Arc S (Lt18i) stuck on Gingerbread and I would like to have the latest stock ICS version, which I think is 4.0.4.
I understand I have to use a program called flashtool.
Will I be able to flash the ROM using flashtool if my phone isn't rooted and the bootloader is locked?
And could someone point me to a link to download the ROM?
Thank you very much.

No you cant flash kernels whrn your bootloader is locked...
You must unlock & root your mobile 1st.
You can only flash firmware(ftf) files with above configuration...
Press thnx if I helped.

Locked bootloader can flash stock kernel, you cannot flash custom kernel. Locked bootloader does not mean cannot flash kernel.

Ok thank you very much! so I've looked and just to clarify:
I put this file in the "firmwares" folder in c:\flashtool,
press the lightning icon and choose Flashmode,
select Wipe User Data,Wipe Cache and No Final Verification Check
Will I loose all my apps? and if so, can I do it without wiping user data?

Flashing via Flashtool will always wipe data. Unless you have a nandroid backup, it's not possible to keep apps and their data.

Wrong. Flashtool does not require unlock or root to flash stock firmware/kernel or any other part of the FTF file.

I don't understand what you need help with... are you trying to flash a stock kernel to a custom kernel or custom kernel to custom kernel to change roms?
I need to flash custom kernel to custom kernel to change ROM. Sorry for my bad english I am Czech.

Though I think you've read it already, just in case, look under "Flashing the Custom Kernel" in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2054512
Be sure that your'e in fastboot mode (blue LED) when you run the command.
If you cannot get into fastboot mode using the standard method (while phone is off, press and hold the search button and connect to computer via USB), then you can try installing Clockwork Mod recovery, reboot the phone into recovery (press Vol Down repeatedly as the phone boots up) and then select it fastboot in the reset options.
Then you should be able to flash the new kernel with fastboot.

If your bootloader is locked, you can repair it with Sony's PC Companion program for windows.
If your bootloader is unlocked, your only choice is to use flashtool to flash stock firmware

hey thanks for the reply, i read around a bit and downloaded flashtool, but when i run the flashtool it says 'preparing files for flashing' and then my phone just goes and reboots to get stuck on sony ericsson again, not giving time for flashtool to flash the phone.

You have to switch it off first before connecting, then connect while holding back when they ask you to in Flashtool.
Just to be safe, remove the battery and replace it after switching off.

Download the zip on the sdcad then install this kernel.
> Sony Ericsson Xperia Play > Xperia Play Android Development > [KERNEL][PLAY] LuPuSv7 [STOCK ICS/GB & CM9][LINARO 4.7.3][19-06-13]
It's working fine for me.

Well first you need a unlocked bootloader.
Then, you have to flash a ICS kernel for an ICS ROM (using fast boot)
LuPuS is a good kernel and is pretty stable too.
After that just install the ROM through CWM.

I don't know about that. But you can try it. In worst case, it won't do anything at all.
But i'm sure that Emma (son'ys flashtool for unlocked BL) will work. Here is a link
Just kernel for 4.4.2 10.5.А.0.230
Download:
boot-C650x-4.4.2_10.5.A.0.230+CWM+root_adb+sysinit_v1.img - boot.img for flashboot
boot-C650x-4.4.2_10.5.A.0.230+CWM+root_adb+sysinit_v1.zip - update.zip for recovery
Also u can root your device with it!
1. Reboot your phone and start pressing volume buttons when led turns on
2. Now u are in recovery
3. Press reboot system now and then press Yes
4. After all this SuperSU app and su binary wil be installed
You can flash it with fastboot

need help for soft brick fix
Hi, I have my xperia zl c6502, i just bought and when I connedted to the internet it show that I have a new system update, I push to make the aupdate, was for the new version 4.4. After I made a restart my phone was dead. Now when I press the power button it only vibrate once an nothing else. I saw that this is mean it's a soft brick. I tryed to flash another ftf file, but no result. Same with SEUS, it work , say that it's ok but nothing happend after restart. I can connect in fastboot mode or flash mode. I think the BL is locked. I gues that the check for usb debbuging mode was not made in settings before the brick. The charging is not work well. I opened the back cover and I measured the voltage on battery and is low now. I try to charge it somehow. What can I do to restore the phone. Not interested for data, was nothing inside because was new. It have not waranty.
Can somebody to help me?
Thanks.

Yes, it is power without cable, but only it's vibrating once and after nothing happend. If I let it like this, it get a little warm on the back side, that it\s mean that the processor is working something.

I was able to recover from bad updates using official FTF and Flashtool. Sony PC Companion also able to recover phones via update menu (it's hidden somewhere in the app). Give either one a try.

Works....
report, sir. @suleymanovemil8
i use ZL C6502 with FW from Taiwan.
and use your kernel.
works perfectly.
kernel works
cwm works.
thanks for build fast kernel.
It works on C6503, also adb reboot recovery automatically goes to CWM, no need for key combination.
my phone is encripted. is there some risk?
I love this boot img, hope you dont mind if i modify it to be a rootinf bootimg with supersu already bundled? Unrootable and no need to flash supersu zip?
