GPU Booster[GB Only} - Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660

Hi guys i found this awesome MOD for GB based roms it's made by senior member Spizzy01 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167228 there is a full gpu config for our little adreno200, the bad thing is that we can't flash it via cwm so we need to move it manually
Here is the guide made by Spizzy01: Download 'ES File Explorer' from the market to your phone. Extract the 'adreno_config.txt' from the ZIP in the original thread and copy it to your phone's SD card. Then use ES File Explorer to copy the adreno_config.txt to /data/local/tmp and then reboot.
The other files within the ZIP are only useful if you have Init.d support and flashed using the supplied ZIP as it creates a symlink to that temporary directory from /system/etc which is where the configuration file is normally stored.
Everyone needs to be aware - If you have any Init.d scripts that clear cache/temporary directories on boot then this mod will not work, as it will simply delete the config file the next time your phone boots.
The Screenshots are below, a user made it, it's somewhere about 400 higher than normal for gpu so it's good

Uhm, you forgot the thread-id in the link...

ty my rom is hard tweaked so maybe that's not why i don't fell a big performance boost

to check if the tweak work the bootanimation must lag alot

yeah it can't be flashed via cwm, you need to move manually the script move the adreno_config.txt to system/etc and 93adreno to system/etc/int.d and set right permisions( rw-r--r--)

Uhh but the thread to what you linked said that it's only made for gingerbread

Everything is loaded into RAM...
It is essentially doing exactly what it normally does when rendering graphics. But instead, it is adding an extra step where it compresses the textures/graphics before loading them into RAM. This greatly increases the amount of textures you can load into RAM as the memory footprint of the textures is heavily reduced.
The fact that AdrenoBooster is the thing effecting the BootAnimation is only an assumption. Explained above is what it does, but it shouldn't decrease the performance of the BootAnimation to that extent. Or at all for that matter.
The Boot Animation runs perfectly fine on my phone.

I'd love to know why you are all unable to flash the ZIP...
And yes, this only works on Gingerbread currently. All information you need on the mod is in the first 3 posts of the original thread.
An ICS/JB alternative is in the works.

imilka's Stock Froyo RAM RC3
based on AdamG's OpenDesire latest version
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Made this while experimenting with RAM... Found it quite good during 2 days testing
Quick notes:
1) System is fully loaded into RAM, you will need to modify CWR flash.cfg and reflash partitions (read below)
2) You can't modify system via Root explorer or etc.
Read below how it can be done.
3) Uhm... nothing more.
4)Replace stock launcher with other btw, it's laggy even with this configuration sometimes
(ADW EX - my choice)
Features
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
clean, stock, fast and stable (should be stable )
FM Radio
CM6
easy system modifying
~15seconds boot time
rooted
deodexed and zipaligned
free space after install - about 250M on EU device
No screenshots, sorry... haven't you seen stock froyo?
Installation
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
1) Download latest CWR with system layout (any)
2) Modify flash.cfg like this:
Code:
misc ya 1M
recovery rrecov|ro|nospr filesize recovery-raw.img
boot ya|boot|ro 100M
system ya 15M
cache ya 10M
userdata ya|asize|hr allsize
3) Flash partitions (run DAF.exe)
4) Boot into recovery
5) Select Mounts and Storage > Mount USB Storage
DONT COPY ZIP USING MAGLDR, USE ONLY THIS WAY! (or cardreader)
6) Copy zip to SD card
7) Select Install zip from sdcard > Select zip from sdcard
8) Select uploaded zip, select yes, wait
9) Reboot, wait
Modifiying system files
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
As I already said, it's not possible to modify system using Root Explorer, ADB or else.
So, to modify system:
1) Make .ramfs folder in root of your sd card
Download .ramfs folder if you can't create it
2) Now .ramfs acts like your /system, so create any files/folders you need to modify under .ramfs
Example: I need to modify framework-res.apk in /framework, here what I should do:
1) Copy .ramfs folder to sdcard root
2) Create framework folder in .ramfs
3) Copy framework-res.apk to framework folder
4) Reboot
Don't delete .ramfs after you made this!
If you delete this folder, system will be restored to default state. (your modified files will be replaced with default ones)

You can... repack initrd
Why should you? I don't think there's a lot of useless apps cause system is close to stock. (I haven't removed some really useless apps like OD updater, I'll remove them in update)
Not bad build for now
Only one thing - why it didn't recognize my operator's settings for mobile internet?

2. replace kernel
Still testing and don't find any problems now

ha il support ext3, data.img ?????????????
It's not really needed - you have 250+mb after install.
But I'll think about including simple a2sd script.
WOW this looks VERY promising!!!
Everything works till now, enough memory, no FC's, all my applications work, fast.
Don't know why not more people try this!
Now I'm gonna try to change some (system)settings (gpsconf, build.prop because font is too big, usb-tp-pc). And try some superuser things like fix_permissions.
Seems g-sensor callibration option is gone?
fix_permissions will have no effect after reboot
But you can do it to check root
How you gonna change system settings? (just to make sure you're doing it right )

Ram and battery life tweaks designed for SGY :)

Download UpdateB scripts can now execute at boot without script manager
Hello guys..I was experimenting with AKMO and some build.prop tweaks and i decided to create 2 scripts for our Galaxy Y
They tweak LMK settings(Android's built in task killer) and some kernel settings in order to Increase battery life
These tweaks are made ONLY for Galaxy Y

Yepp, let me enlight you:
- Unless we don't have custom kernel with init.d support, init.d scripts are useless. However you can install these files to init.d folder, but will never run.
- SGY does not have touch key backlight so these are nonsense
Code:
# touch-key backlight-off
echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/brightness
chmod 444 /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/brightness
Nevertheless if you've experimenting with this values, and find them effective, it would be useful, when finally we have init.d support in our little Y.
(currently I'm working on init.d support hack for stock kernels, I'll let you know about the outcome)

As The Name Suggest This To0l Will Create An OTA Update Package For You,
It Doesn't Work Like The Actually OTA Packages Due To The Nature Of Custom ROM And Their Customization Ability,
Making patching near to impossible,however this will scan to folder and compare them,
picking the differences, creating a new OTA Folder, which you just zip and broadcast.
The Advantage Of Using This Tool Are SimpleSmaller Update Packages,
Faster Upload From The Dev,
Faster Download For the User,
It's Also Allows user to update without having to reflash stock kernel, as the modules (if they're the same) wouldn't be included,
It's Also Allow You To See The Actual Difference between each updates
Updates:Initial Release V1.0: Simple OTA Maker
Update V1.2:

Update V1.1:

Upcoming Updates:
SuggestionsAll Suggestion are welcome
Notice:
1) For Aroma Users I highly Recommend that after using the tool to copy and paste that folder yourself,
usually Aroma options don't change and thus ignored by this app
2) The Same Apply To the update binary
3) If You Use This App, Please Credit, There is no need to tell me but i'd like to know
4) Some ROM format the /system partition before installing the ROM, if so make sure to comment out that line
5) I'd Highly Recommend You test the OTA package before publishing it
DOWNLOAD HERE
Look @ The 2nd Post For A Quick How To.
How To Use1) Extract The Old ROM (v1) Into A Folder And Place The Folder Into The "ROM" Folder
2) Extract The Updated ROM (v2) Into A Folder And Place The Folder Into The "ROM" Folder
3) Run The Tool & Click Refresh
4) Choose The Old ROM 1st & Then The 2nd ROM
5) Select A Name For Your OTA Folder
6) Click Process & Wait For The Magic To Happen
7) Now A Folder Will Be Created With The Name You Specified & Placed In The OTA Folder
8) Now You "Probably" Need To Edit The Binary Script To Make Sure It Works Correctly,
^^ You Won't/Shouldn't Remove/Edit Symlink/Chmod Or Extract Unless They Specify A Specific File

Just a little question so that I don't do it wrong :
Do I install only the script .zip file?
or do I need to install both the script .zip file and also the pre-patched zipalign binary?
Does this have autostart?
should we delete existing tweak before use this.. sorry.. new android user here..

im using xburst tweaks... is it okay to use this ? does it conflict ?
i use it but suddenly my internal sd card undetected,
i flash the zip and put zipalign,did i do anything wrong?
i test this script. but sorry to say that it doesnt suit my need. multitasking is good, just not for gaming. i try play predator, it hang on the loading page. i'm a tester not a developer, so this is just the result of my testing.

Sorry all for not replying. I have work to do and have to leave XDA for a little bit. Again, sorry.
@gmenelau > Thanks for trying. I don't have Wonder so i must test it on my friend's phone/
@TiTAN-O-One > I'm waiting your feedback.
@hotheabilly > Great, after two users reported working that's mean i can port it futher
@geniusboy93 > Go to Supercharger thread at XDA, you will find some information there.
@ghyeng > You can install the .zip file only, but i recommend to install the zipalign library so boot will be faster.
@cifoel > What ROM do you use ?
@jamestts > I will try to improve it for gaming and multitasking needs. Thanks for report.

AFAIK its may caused a confilct. First, x-burst tweak cant combined with v6,adrenaline, etc(check official thread). Second, this tweak have some combined tweak that has been added in x-burst such as ram script,deep sleeping tweak. Third, if you have been including x-burst to your rom you should not to adding crossbreeder again, because its has included in x-burst. cmiiw, just saying sir. i know u have a lot knowledge bout android than me hihi

[SCRIPT] Swap Xperia ZL/ZQ

Hello all
I have written a script to create a swap partition using /cache on our devices
Since the introduction of KitKat in our devices many people have complained about the overall speed compared to JellyBean using swap and able to give some HP`s in our devices!
Why use partition /cache?
By /cache it is an internal partition it and faster than a partition SD Card, and also do not have the inconvenience we need to format and partition the SD Card
I have used this script in KitKat sony firmware 4.4.2, and it works perfectly
I do not know if other roms use the partition /cache for other things then not sure if it worked, could someone who has the courage test and post feedback, aah, always keep a backup nandroid not work if you avoided headache
Confirmed working:
Stock and custom based in stock 4.3 and 4.4 roms, CM11
Use:
Flash 78swap via recovery (attached)
Download Script Manager via playstore
Open Script Manager navigate to the directory /system/etc/78script and open 78swap
Mark SU and BOOT as pictured below:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
then
Press RUN!
He will create the swap file, wait a few seconds until you get a script and output in
Close it!
To check the operation download Terminal Emulator
type:
Code:
su
enter
Code:
busybox free
enter
you will get this output:
Adjustable:
By default, the swap size is 512MB, you can switch to the desired size by editing the script (use notepad++)
1 is equal to 1 MB!
Enjoy and press the Thanks button if you like! :good:

Worked in my ZL running 4.3
I have used this script in eXistenZ Ultimate Light & Dark v1.5.5, and it works perfectly for my ZL.
hi boss is this normal? Followed steps above and im getting this. Edited the file using notepad set the size to 20gb.
Used terminal to check and heres what ive got.
Thank you for your continuing support. [emoji1]
Thanks Gustavo. Not quite the difference that swap made on my Arc S, but a difference and much appreciated. I just copied it to init.d and run it with universal init.d because I'm lazy and it works well.

20GB and very large!
look at the total size of your partition / cache before setting the desired size ...
and is also necessary to delete the already created file before creating another
But I see it has run and is running!

So it is working right? Does this mean whenever i download a game all of the game data or obb files will go straight down to sd card? I chose 20gb because i inserted 32gb card. Im a hard gamer and big space is really important for me. [emoji1]
Or I may have misunderstood the functionality of this process. [emoji44]

This has nothing to do with moving apps to an SD Card. This is a scripts that allows additional memory to be used in the Cache memory section of internal memory to augment the phones internal RAM memory. Total cache should be around 540MB so anything over 512MB is rather futile.
