I agree. It sounds like multiple hardware failures. You could but a new battery for cheap but the screen may be a write off.

First of all, is it rooted? If yes, what rom do you have? You have custom recovery?
If not try this. Charge the phone and when the green led is on power off the device and leave it to charge for another 1 hour.
No it is not rooted. The problem is that the green light never appears because it doesn't fully charge.

Nvm
Will do. I have never let the battery drain completely. Do you think that can be a reason why it's not charging. Thanks

Same problem
I had the same problem with one week old VM One V. Charged to 80% and no more. Discharged (auto turned off at 10%) and it charged to 100 one time. Then charged only to 84%. Discharged again, went down to 6% before shutting down. After a couple more cycles, including unplugging after "full" charge to 84%, then replugging and getting to 100%, finally two days in a row woke up to a green light and 100% from a 20-30% level at bed time. Only issue now seems to be two widgets show different battery levels, e.g. 63% on battery monitor widget pro, 53% on Elixer pro battery widget. The icon at the top looks more like 60%.
Not rooted, waiting a while. Love the phone, wish it were dual core, but runs as well as my Droid X and much better battery life. Nice design and feel.
have you resolved your issue Relgozen??
Yes your advice was very helpful. Should I continue to charge my device only when the battery dies?
Thanks again

I normally use the charger which came with my HOX and there is significant lag when it comes to using the screen in all apps and android as general.
Just used my Desire HD charger tonight and the screen is normal with no issues.
Anyone else noticed a problem with the screen on charge or just me? Think I may have to switch back to the older HTC charger!

Read this, now imagine all that fancy stuff isn't there. That is the charger htc supplied, which explains why the touchscreen goes to sh*t when the charger is plugged in.

Yeah I noticed this, doesn't happen so much now I've updated my software version. Started to think it was a kernel issue.
Sent from my now amazing HTC One X thanks to TeamVenoms ViperX rom
I know this has been asked several times but i did each and every thing still no luck.
So basically my problem is that the battery indicator is stuck at 100%. It doesn't show any battery drop and suddenly turns off when the battery is completely down. When i connect the charger and the phone turns on it sill shows 100 despite the battery is completely empty. The only way to charge it is to shutdown during charging. Even after disconnecting the charger the phone still shows hundred. It is very irritating issue because most of the time it shuts down during calls.
Tried flashing different roms, kernels, hard reset, wiping battery stats, calibrating battery and every possible solution but sill no luck
Is it a charger issue, battery issue, software issue or hardware issue and is there any possible solution to It?
I know that my post is so long but you cant imagine how frustrating the problem is. I mean the phone is almost unusable as a phone
Honestly, its kinda very annoying. My battery e.g is 98% then maybe 96% after 3,4 hours and i was very happy. And then all of a suddent 1% drop every 2seconds and takes to 70%.
Not sure about the problem though.
Nokia 3310 coming ^_^
current device: htc wildfire
Atleat your battery level drops. Mine is always stuck at 100 or sometimes 99 but never below it

By hardware I meant the phone charger which provides current to battery. But I am not sure. You can try a different battery if that helps.
Same problem here...
Can anyone post the output current of your stock charger? My charger says 5V 1A output. The 1A part seems to be the real cause of problem.
Someone please post your charger specs.

My charger is also 5V 1A..
More amperes more quickly the battery charges.
Guys, have you found a solution in between? I'm using a HTC One and have exactly the problem as the OP.
Any suggestions?

Your battery might not have enough charge to boot. Leave it on charge for a few hours and then try. Report back your findings

i believe that is the case pal. but on the stock rom if the battery was completely flat to the floor then it takes a few minutes at least before it will boot again.
on cwm 4.0.1.4,phone gets charged when off ,led keeps lit even after disconnected from charger and it doesn't turn on unless battery pulled out.But for sure led doesn't blink in this case ,it keeps on steadily.
Edit-not sure what op means by red light flashing. If its continuously on then battery pull would solve the issue.

What you mean by "battery is like im not charging it at all" do you see the indicator showing that charging is in process? Try to charge trough usb port not by wall charger. If you plug the cable in the USB port on your PC, whats happen? Maybe the problem isn't a battery itself, but the microusb port on your phone...
I meant that battery finished so fastly.. Sorry for my bad English
