You can overclock your monster to any frequency you want.Apps like set cpu have a profiles option.
For battery follow steps below-
Set up a screen off profile
You can make the apps underclock the phone when screen turns off.
NOBODY NEEDS A RAGING CPU WHEN SCREEN IS OFF
Also set up a low battery profile. It really helps.
My settings for my p350 go as follows-
Normal Frequencies- 245-787mhz Governor-SmartassV2
Screen off- 122-245mhz Governor-Powersave
Battery less than 25% 245-480 mhz Governor-Conservative
Using above setings i get 1.5 days battery backup with normal use.
Hit thanks if i helped.
Will try these speeds tomorrow Monday. Although CM10.1 has a wifi battery draining issue, maybe with this I can make it through the day...

I always use 480-787 MHz overclocking, Wifi turned off and APN Switch for disable internet connection (but allow to send and receive MMS) and my phone runs about 3-4 days with normal calls and SMS.
Also, you can set IO scheduler to NOOP, it will seriously increase battery life. And u can disable dethering.

I'm really struggling with battery life at the moment. Has anyone got settings I can use to save on battery life in SetCpu? Profiles etc
+1
I'd like to know too.
I would also like to know =[ my battery dies wayy too fast. I have the darkstone froyo build on my htc hd2 phone energy rom. Any programs or SETcpu settings that will help out?
If your on a rom with preflock disabled then you can underclock.
The only thing you need to change in setcpu really is to make a profile for screen off and set it to 245 (or whatever is the lowest I can't remember) both max and min (leave it on demand, or interactive if your rom has that).
This should give you about 10-15 hours longer battery life
so i wouldnt have to make any other profiles like battery? temperature? stuff like that? should i get rid of my green power and advanced task killer?
No you can keep them (well I don't know what green power is....)
The other profiles are mainly only needed if your OVERCLOCKING, however if your not touching the default max (main profile) then your not overclocking (1ghz).
To save power you UNDERCLOCK which setting a lowered screen off profile would do.
If your slowing the CPU down then the temperature will not rise, so that profile is not needed.
And you don't need to slow the phone down when your using it so none of the others are really needed either.

i think im kinda get what you're saying (sorry im kind of slow) so i had just deleted my other profiles and made a screen off one have it set to max all the way right and min all the way left, on demand, priority 100. Now on the main screen i think i touched it cause i read somewhere for max all the way to the right and min all the way to the left. This is confusing lol
The settings I have for my Desire:
Default:
Conservative 245-998
Profiles:
Screen Off - Priority 100 - Powersave
Charging/Full - Priority 50 - OnDemand 245-1305
Battery < 30 - Priority 0 - PowerSave
Running along side JuiceDefender, battery life is acceptable to me

I used darkstones froyo for awhile too. Battery drain killed it for me. I had no luck with anything. Changed to a nand build and its much better. Apparently SD builds just use more battery. With the SD froyo I could never stay below 60ma a few times would drop to less than 10ma but just not consistent. I lost about 8% an hour in sleep mode. Give a well designed nand build a go. In sleep I hover AT 4ma. My battery with Moderate use easily last the day, heavy use (multiple calls, emails, and browsing for an hour or two) still does require a recharge
Im using carbon ara theme with pcb just turn data off wen aint using it via toggle and have a profile for sleep in set cpu for min and max of 245 and from full charfe at 7am by 6 pm im still 65%. Thats using fb checkin email playing angrybirds and checking the forum

I just flashed the vision rom on g2 about 6 hours ago earlier today from Rom Manager and its running great except that when the phone goes into screen off mode, and then i try to turn the phone back screen on the screen stays black but the bottom 4 buttons still glow, and when i click stuff on the screen it clicks them but its black and there is NO brightness at all NO LIGHT lol, now this isn't the phones problem because on the normal froyo backup i have it works fine, but i am in love with sense, except it really pisses me off that it does this, if anyone can help it would be great or if someone has experienced this issue and found any way to solve it, please let me know how. If you want a video let me know i can make one.

You have overclocked right?
this is a very common problem
what you need to do is set up a screen of profile on setcpu
min:245
max:368
scaling : powersave
and make sure you tick Enable on profiles menu
this should solve your problem.

Thank you for the information, just set everything up the way you said to and gonna give it a test now, thank you!!
Edit: also, i have it clocked at 1420 max and 800 min, and a set profile for the one that you gave me and one so if it overheats to clock itself down, should i keep the min to 800 or should i make it lower, this is for when the phone is on, when it goes screen off it goes into the profile you gave me, thanks.

why do you have your min at 800 mhz anyway?
there is no need for that put the min at 245 your phone will scale up when it needs
to. and for scalling, ondemand works for me best ,you can can try different ones to see which on gives you better performance and battery life. dont use performance scaling for everyday use though .
Hi Guys!
I am facing a very extreme battery draining situation...
Something is keep waking up my phone while my screen is turned off.
Is there any good app out there I could monitor / Find out what is constantly waking up my phone? I can not find any good app for that.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Settings->About Phone->Battery->Battery Use
Get yourself rooted and grab SetCPU. I have a profile set on that which underclocks my CPU when the screen is off. Doing this GREATLY increased my battery life.
I also use Tom Hubalek's Battery Gauge Widget to help me monitor my battery. But, after using the RCMix S v2.0 ROM and calibrating my battery (and the mentioned CetCPU settings) I get a good day out of my phone with a lot of wifi and 3g usage.
Never had any issue so far with my battery... I am checking battery usage in the settings menu but it is not enough. Need to see what exactly using my battery 'cause its unacceptable to drain 60% in 5 hours... The only thing I can see that something is using (waking up) the phone even when the screen is turned off...
I am using SetCPU as well with Smartass governor... can not be the problem...
Also set a profile for screen off - i have it set to 245min-245max smartass. It seems to save battery more than just set on the main screen.

Have you tried changing the Wi-Fi sleep policy? Also, pocket mode and fastboot, if you have those options.
My SetCPU is set to OnDemand. I thought Smartass was unstable and gobbled more power than it should? I dunno, though, I use whatever the ROM developer uses for the ROM; I don't change anything.
But you're right, my phone has lost 61% in 14 hours. 60 in 5 is wrong.
I think JuiceDefender has some of the features you're looking for, though:

Ach, I have mine to 245-600MHz when the screen is off. Any less and my rom is lacky when the screen wakes. Had the same settings as you for other none Sense 3.0 ROM's though. MAJOR power saving. If you leave your phone downloading, though, the screen off profile kills the download rate.
Check it out, upload a file to your phone via wifi, turn the screen off and watch the speed plummet to about 100kbs!
EDIT:
Anyway, I had a massive power saving when I used this ROM:

Dialer
If you're using a gingerbread based ROM, it could also be the dialer. At least it is for me. Sometimes he just goes crazy and I have to reboot the phone. Apparently the dialer checks the phones proximity using the sensors again and again.
For further reference and solutions see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1069251
Juice defender and Setcpu are in the same basket as task killers.
If you are using Smartass you don't need any profiles. Check your widgets, probably you have one which updates every second and kills your battery.
I use my mostly as a media device, but since I'm always near a wifi connection either at home, on campus or whatever, I also use Google Voice and Talkatone for free calls and texts and it works great. I also got two brand new Anker batteries and an external charger and they work fine (my old stock battery swelled and was just overall dead). So I'll use my phone in Airplane mode with Wifi on and I get around 22 hours with 90 minutes screen on time, which is decent, but I feel like it should be better than that. Depending on the ROM, I have gotten as much as 40 hours battery life (which is great) and as little as 14 hours, and this is ALL on Airplane mode with Wifi toggling, so I'm guessing its software/settings related.
i am on a new ROM as of yesterday so I want to make sure I have my settings the best from the jump. I turned off all Location services, screen brightness is low and with the exception of push gmail and google voice notifications, the shortest polling interval time I have for any app is 4 hours. Any other settings I can change to maximize battery life?
One thing you can try using gsam battery monitor to see of anything keeps the phone awake when the screen is off.
You can hibernate apps with greenify and can use dsbatterysaver to kill data on screen off.
Edit: you can also use Romtoolbox to lower max CPU speed to 800/1000mhz and set governor to powersave/conservative depending on the kernel you're running.
Tegrak can help undervolt but the app is a paid app. Romtoolbox has a free version.

To OP:
tt281gt has some great suggestions... I had an issue with conservative governor causing my flacs to skip. I was also running at 1000mhz. I changed to pegasusq and it was good to go. At one point I was using one of Kobridge's tweaks.I think it was Placebo2.0 It was the one where you had to pick like shift1,2,3 or 4 . Shift 3 had some great mods for the conservative gov. It was still great on battery but lost any laggyness. I know he has newer products that might be better than that. Maybe you can hit him up directly with your scenario and he can point you in the right direction. What your asking for is right up his alley!
hi all, this is the first time i come here
I am using LG Optimus G, i have tried many rom(event stock) for my phone, but in wait time my phone drain 2%-3%/1h.
When i set Screen 100%, listening music via 3G and use camera(with flash on), my phone lose 85% baterry energy for 2h 30minutes, so i think my battery phone was fine.
I have tried many ways to improve batterry life, but nothing change.
Please give me some suggestion, thank you :fingers-crossed:
I also use Greenify and Titanium to freeze some app and service, but the problem still come
And what do expect?it's like saying : "hey,i drive my car with 200km/h and i have great fuel consumption. You gave the answers yourself. 3g streaming and highest brightness on a 4.7" display?nice job. And if you are in a low signal area, the things get even better. Haven't you heard yet?3g is one of the biggest cause for drain.
Use betterbatteystats to see what causes the drain.if you don't play games a litle underclocking would save you some battery.

I have tested with "Airplane mode", and my phone still drain 2%/1h on standby mode
So you have something eating your battery. Bbstats and cpu spy to see if the phone goes to deep sleep and then look for hungry apps.

I duno what yu are expecting... But losing 3% / hr is fine.... Since you using 3g....also setcpu wont underclock the freq of all the cores.. It ly manages the master core i.e. Core0....so mobiles with quad core processors, setcpu is not tat grt application..... I've edited the thermald conf file in /etc and set the cpu cores to 1026mhz, by this way you can underclock the freq of all the 4 cores... With 2 hrs screen on I lost 70% of battery juice in 12hrs with ECO MODE OFF, 3G DATA ALWAYS ON, Screen brightness set to 25% with auto...

I try the link you gave, but nothing change
Dear Guys, I am trying to ask your eperiences with LG Optimus E975 (Originally LG F180l)
The phone is old (Feb 2014), but until now it worked great. I bought it on my trip around South Korea, but I use it at the Czech Republic.
Situation:
The LGF180l phone has started battery drain very quickly, even in idle mode (Data Off, Sync account off, GPS OFF, Brightness Min, Auto bright off, Screen rotation off, Airplane mode ON, LG Phone backup OFF ...) In this configuration, the screen still consumes about 50% of the battery. Previous vallue was about 20% in normal operation mode. So I tried using LG Flash Tool 2014 to make CSE Flash and convert my phone to LG Optimus E975. The situation has not changed. Even with a perfectly clean installation, the screen consumption instantly jumps to 50-60% after the turn off and keep it permanently.
I tried to change batteries too. 1st battery has the year of production 2013, the second has 2017, but both has the same behaviour. I've tried uninstalling Google+, Google Photos, Hangouts, and more. Still without result. Now I have back the original factory configuration of the LG E975 and still the same.
If the phone turns off, there is no consumtion and battery drain.
I'm really crazy, maybe I have to tell the boss about the new phone .
