You have a custom recovery now ? Put the phone in there and it will charge the battery
Edit :
Steps :
1: Charge the battery in the recovery
2: then flash the boot.img from the xm kernel
3: install the xm.zip in the recovery
4: reboot (should boot correct now)
5: backup what you need including the sdcard content
6: then put the phone in the bootloader and relock the bootloader
Fastboot oem lock
7: keep the phone in the bootloader and run this ruu with admin rights
Right click the ruu and select "run as administrator"

If the led does not come on, you have to reboot the recovery ! That option is under advanced - reboot recovery and then it should be on

Your phone is not stock anymore. This ruu will flash it all back to stock, factory settings. Only with a ruu you need to relock the bootloader but you can unlock it again after updating. If you wish you can also go back to stock with a nandroid backup. Then you don't have to relock the bootloader but its a bit more work

Which Cwm recovery version do you have installed. I think you have an old one ?!
I have another way to charge the phone.
Put the phone in the bootloader and double click the next file from within the fastboot folder !
https://www.dropbox.com/s/aaah8gqz8j024xz/Batt script.bat
It should reboot the phone continuesly and charge it little by little, leave it for 45 minutes and flash this recovery

Hello,
i got this weird problem when i tried to install clockworkmod from here: knowyourmobile(dot)com/smartphones/htc/onex/onexuserguides/1419609/how_to_root_your_htc_one_x.html
My bootloader is unlocked.I downloaded the file end ran the script. When everything finished my phone got stuck in the boot screen.I tried to erase chase or install stock kernel and recovery (using all ine one tool from this site)but nothing solved it.The only thing that i havent tried yet is to flash a boot.img because i cant find one (i got the phone from europe(paris) and i have the jelly bean update and i cant find the stock boot.img).Any solutions?
Thanks in advance!
If you flash a rom you can find the boot.img inside the rom.zip file ! Flash the boot.img with fastboot commands and do a wipe in recovery and install the rom.zip file from sd card !
And its not a weird boot problem, it's a common user mistake that is done by many....many people
Ow and a kernel = boot.img
Thanks for the reply,Is there another way?Because i dont want to use a custom ROM.I just rooted it in order to install some apps that require root.I said its weird because i flashed the kernel and the problem stays
Do you have a custom recovery at the moment ? And did u do a nandroid backup of the stock rom ?
I think it's weird that you first say that you flashed the kernel and then you say you can't find the boot.img.......
Well i didnt know that kernel=boot.img and i dont know if the all ine one xda program puts the right program for jb.I didnt backup anything,I have clockworkmod recovery
Do you know fastboot and the commands ?
Fastboot oem readcid
and
Fastboot getvar version-main
And post these results here !
I will try it.THis doesnt format anything,right>?
Nope....
You have to enter the recovery from the bootloader - choose hboot and then recovery....if it enters check which version you have (cwm 5.8.4.0 ?)
From there you can go to mounts & storage and then choose at the bottom mount as USB drive
Then you can at least copy everything from the sd to a safe place. I think that the internal data is going to be lost ! Like messages and apps .... Everything that is stored in the cloud is safe anyway
cid:htc__203 OKAY
version-main:3.14.401.27
You can get the ruu with the same number on www.htcruu.com and put the phone in bootloader/fastboot USB
Relock the bootloader with
Fastboot oem lock
And run the ruu.exe with admin rights ...it will put the phone back to 100% stock
This is the one you need
http://www.htcruu.com/download.php?...Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_298897_signed.exe
Nice! Now to reunlock the bootloader i will do the same things i did the first time or there is a command for that?
Yes if you still have the unlock token.bin file you can unlock the bootloader with a fastboot command, the correct command slipped my mind at the moment !
Otherwise you can to the htcdev site again and unlock it there
fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin

Hi all,
I think my friend and i bricked his phone last night.
Its the HTC one x and we used the Hasoon2000 method. I think the problem was the perm root part of the software said unable to connect to device.
I searched around and someone said to flash supersu and that should do it. However after flashing that we did a backup of the phone in clockwork recovery.
We then tried flashing the viperX rom which we did on another one X and worked fine, it got to 1% and restarted. It then stuck at the quietly brilliant page.
We can't get it to boot into recovery but can get it to go to the bootloader. We tried to do the fastboot command from the PC to erase fastboot cache but it couldnt connect to the device.
I have read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1764421 and but it is about the AT&T version, what recovery image would i need?
Also how can i tell if it is hard bricked or soft bricked? As i'm worried it could be hard bricked cause i couldnt erase the fastboot cache.
Any help is appreciated, and sorry if this is answered somewhere else but i couldnt see an answer.
Bit more bootloader info:
Unlocked
S-On
Hboot 1.39.0000
If possible i'd like to help my friend finish rooting it but if its easier put it back to normal.
Again thanks if anyone can help me.
What does the bootloader say, EVITA or ENDEAVORU ?
It says endeavoru

Haven't tried what you said yet as it said battery is too low on the bootloader. I've now plugged it in a plug socket and have it on the htc quietly brilliant screen. I take it this should still charge it?

Is it possible for you to turn the phone off?
IF so it should charge a bit quicker that way
Also just to clarify, how did you try to install Viper X on your phone?
Hmm no, if its bootlooping then yes. Is the bootloader unkocked and do you have a custom recovery installed yet ?
In case you have a custom recovery installed put the phone in the recovery it will charge the batt in there .....
Otherwise put the phone in the bootloader and run this file from within the fastboot folder

It will continuously reboot the phone and charge it little by little, leave it like this for an hour or so.
No, if i go into bootloader and fastboot then power down it turns itself back on if its plugged in.

The bootloader says unlocked, and we had CWM recovery installed it no longer loads up, it just reboots itself.
I'm confused by what you mean, what command would i use to run that file from the fastboot folder and after doing that do you mean i should leave it charging from the laptop?
Link to image of the bootloader if this helps - http://imgbin.org/index.php?page=image&id=11217
Just connect the phone to the pc and put the phone in the bootloader then execute the .bat file from the fastboot folder (download it and move it in there)
It should start rebooting the phone over and over again.
Edit : I see fastboot usb in the bootloader that's good !
We need to get the batt charged so we can reflash the recovery, that will probably solve it all.

Ok this is working. It doesn't say about low battery anymore on the bootloader. But ill leave it charging for a bit. What is my next step?
Next step is to reflash the recovery, download this one

Rename it to recovery.img and Copy the file in the fastboot folder. Put the phone in the bootloader again and flash the recovery
All these commands are executed from the command prompt inside the fastboot folder.
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Fastboot erase cache
Then enter the recovery by pressing hboot one time (confirm with powerbutton) then press recovery
Ignore me Mr Hoffs beat me to it

Last time i tried to do permroot with the Hasoon2000 tool. That didnt work and i just flashed superSU, i think i must be missing something.

Hi Everyone,
I was trying to install the vemon viper x 3.3.6 (Im kind of new to flashing rom onto phones) onto my htc one x and had to update my hboot from 0.98 to 1.31 which i did with JBW tool and worked perfect and i unlocked my bootloader again but wen i was finished unlocking my bootloader i accendently factory reset my phone so it removed the vemon viper x 3.3.6 zip folder off my phone and cant run my old rom which is the vemon viper x 2.7 as it isnt a jellybean rom. So when i start my phone it loads the rom but doesn't boot. All i can get into is my hboot. My htc one x is s-on as well. Please any help would be great.

enter the bootloader by pressing volume - and the power button together as long as you are in the bootloader, do not let go before that.....then navigate to HBOOT - RECOVERY. it boots to recovery and activate the mount as mass storage device in the mounts and storage section (if you have CWM) if you get an error by doing that i suggest you flash the latest CWM recovery 5.8.4.0 first. older ones dont have this option !

That notification is normal, we all have that due to the usb cable being connected !
Did you install the rom with the cable connected ? That's a no go......always install a rom without the usb connected ! First put the phone into the bootloader, hold power and volume - until you are in. Then the fastboot command
Fastboot erase cache
From this point you disconnect the cable. enter the recovery and re-install the viper rom again.
You did flash the boot.img from the rom right ?

Yes put the phone in the bootloader and put this script in the fastboot folder. Open a command window there and type
Batt script.bat

It will continuesly reboot the bootloader and charge the phone little by little ! Until you got some power and can acces the custom recovery to charge it more !
If it does not work, remove the space in batt script.bat so it says battscript.bat .....

I am going to sound very stupid. Could you give me the exact line of command to use if the fastboot folder is saved in the local storage on the computer (c: drive), i dont want to do more damage then i have.:silly:
Example when the fastboot files are in
C:\fastboot\the fastboot files
Then you copy that battscript into that folder
Then you navigate to that folder and hold down shift and right click the mouse inside that folder, then choose "open command prompt here"
In that command prompt you type
Battscript.bat (hit enter)
And the phone should start rebooting.
If the fastboot folder is somewhere else you repeat my steps only change folder that i used.....

I don`t have m9 now but if you do this solution, maybe your phone boot up again ( this solution works on m8 )
1- install latest HTC usb driver and latest adb tools
2-connect your phone to the charger about 30 minutes ( if your phone has low battery charge )
3-then you should have unlock bootloader file from htc site ( to unlock your phone again )
4- boot in the bootloader then unlock the bootloader again
5-after unlocking boot to the bootloader again and instal latest twrp recovery for T-mobile m9
6- after all you should download a custom rom like ( android rev... or viper rom or...)
7- copy the zip file on the external memory then put to the phone
8- go to the recovery do full wipe then install rom from external memory
9 -your phone should good
after all you can s-off your phone if you like
good work:good:

I actually tried this method already, but the fastboot commands to unlock the bootloader kept failing. It said that it was not a recognized command (or something along the lines of that). I already have the Unlockcode.bin from HTC, but am unable to flash it as stated above.
I really appreciate your suggestions though.

Actually, now that I think about it, fastboot already recognizes the M9, so USB debugging shouldn't be a problem. I'm still not sure why the fastboot commands aren't being recognized though (fastboot OEM get_identifier_token, fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlocktoken.bin, etc.)

To begin with your HBOOT is an old version. Upgrade it and then flash the ROM you want or find the right RUU to flash
You will need HBOOT 1.39 at least. See this link

then did a bootloader reboot but when the phone restarts it stucks on (white htc one screen) can't load to the standard screen.. i pressed the power button for 5 sec and the phone restarted .. pressed the vol down and entered the boot loader .. at boot loader if i tried to access the recovery or factory reset the phone simply display a black screen and downloading bar lookalike for 5 sec then restarts
I tried to flash a rom via cmd but i got the following error:

After flashing a new HBOOT your bootloader is now locked. It needs to be unlocked
take a look at this link and it will help you unlock your bootloader. Then you can flash a costume recovery and then flash your ROM

You need to do a bit of reading about all the steps needed for getting the ROM you want. Jumping in to quick could cause problems. Luckily you have S_ON so that will help prevent making big mistakes

So i did what you said and flashed a costume recovery .. I've tried both clockwork and philz toch 6 .. i successfully flashed both but neither i could flash a rom with ..
Every time i try new rom i get installation aborted
And if i try to flash with cmd i get Failure (heap not enough)
What can i do now ?? ?
What commands are are you using in CMD to flash your ROM
Did you Flash boot.img from the ROM before flashing ROM
I assume you can get to fastboot mode and recovery mode?
Please do command fastboot getvar version-main and post result

I tried the following cmd commands in fastboot :
Fastboot oem rebootruu
Fastboot flash zip 3.zip
And I got the following error message :
Failed <remote: heap not enough >
I tried to flash the boot.img before I flash the rom and get the next error message :
Failed <remote: err = 0xa>
I tried to wipe everything and push the rom to Sdcard with adb push command and tried to flash it via recovery cwm and philz but every time I got (installation aborted ) I tried to install super su the same way and it worked so I guess the rom is not suitable for my device I tried to flash two more roms but with no luck I always get the same error
Not sure what you have done. Try this.
Download the following RUU
http://www.androidruu.com/getdownlo...Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed.exe
Put phone in fastboot mode
connect to PC and make sure it says fastboot USB
Open command prompt from what ever folder you fastboot files are in.
type fastboot oem lock (this will lock your bootloader )
Run this RUU
Let me know

I really appreciate your help and i am thankful to you
Every thing works now .. thaaaaaaank you <3
You are welcome
Note that your bootloader will now be locked and your phone is not rooted.
If you want to experiment with custom ROMs when you must (FIRST) unlock the bootloader and (SECOND) root your phone
onexroot.com is a good site with tutorials to help you.
