[Q] Bluetooth In-call volume low - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

HTC Incredible (duh) using Tiny's CM10.1 build from 5/4.
I've recently just noticed that the in-call volume when using bluetooth to my car is VERY low. The volume level was fine when I was using a GB Rom (forget which). I updated to Tiny's 4/16 build at some point, and I don't know if the problem existed then and I didn't notice or I just didn't make a call using Sync (it's a Ford). Doing a Google search leads me to think it's something with either 4.2.2 or perhaps the kernel (Evervolv). I see recommendations to try Volume+, but it appears that doesn't work with JB.
Anyone have thoughts/comments/suggestion on what I can do? And yes, I've made sure all volumes are turned up.
Thanks,

[BUG] Media Volume dependent on In call volume

I've noticed that media volume is being affected by in call volume.
Many times it happens I'm listening to music when a call comes, which being too loud (since i'm using my earphones) I reduce it by lowering the in call volume. After the call end the media volume gets reduced and it doesn't go up even if you max it out, although it can be lowered...
The remedy to fix it is make a dummy call and max out the in call volume, dis-connect and voila you're media volume is back up which can be lowered as desired...
Its not a serious bug as its temporary fix easy to apply but since most of the major android bugs on HD2 have been ironed out, so if developer has the time it would be great if they can look into it.
Also this a kernel/sound module bug, as I've seen it persist across different ROMS by different chefs. Yhough I have not tried Sense, but it present in both CM7 and MIUI roms whatever I tried so far..If some sense user can confirm, it would be helpful as these roms have different kernel...
I m currently using the ROM in my signature and i give a negative confirmation. Meaning in my HD2 and ROM i have faced no such issues. The media volume is independent of the In-Call volume.
Btw i admit once i noticed this bug when i was trying a MIUI rom.
Yes it exists. You can verify it.
1. Install Volume control
2. Play any music
3. Modify the InCall volume.

Yes even I think this might be specific to MIUI Roms.
Can anybody verify the same with AOSP roms?

So sense roms doesnt have this bug, it seems...
Well i remember having faced a similar issue when i was typhoons cm7 rom around a month or two back
I have also observed this 'bug'. My initial thought was that the DSP manager (I'm currently on CM ROM) does not restore the correct profile after hang up.
No bug on jw-miui. Tested like this: launch music, volume set to max
Did a call, adjusted in call volume to low.
Hang up, miui music start to play with its full volume (just like i set it before).
Second test was with low music volume. It works too. So I can't confirm the bug.

[Q] Audio is either at max volume or completely silent

Using AOSP JellyBean, CM10, and MIUI 4.1, I have experienced an issue where the audio coming through the speakers in the phone is either at max volume (no matter what volume setting I have), or completely silent (turned off).
Is this a known issue with JellyBean on the E4GT (Seen across three separate ROMs), or is this a hardware defect in my device?
Any help is appreciated.

[Q] LiquidSmooth ROM Speakerphone Volume

I'm noticing that call volume only when speaker is enabled is extremely low. Volume for music played through the speaker or headset volume is just fine, strangely it only affects the speakerphone during a call.
I'm running LiquidSmooth 2.4 I believe, I haven't upgraded to 2.5 since last I heard that bricks phones. Should I just upgrade to CM10.1? I wasn't able to find a list of known issues. Either that, or if someone has a fix for 2.4 or something.
Thanks in advance for any help.
EDIT: I did find an existing thread about this, but it's back from January

It used to be fine when I was on M2 of CM11 but needed to move to a newer version (now on nightly from March 14th) in order to fix a couple of other issues with GPS, camera and bluetooth.

Check the themes and apps section, I remember seeing a fix for the volume in there somewhere.
Hey there,
I also have the same problem since using CM11. When using the Samsung Stock Rom, the volume was much louder.
So what app should I use?
Did you guys find a solution for this problem? I have it too...
I found a workaround. Once the call starts press volume down button and then volume up. It works great. The problem is that you have to do this each and every single time...
Has this been fixed in M11?

[Q] Headphone volume

Hello, I'm using PAC nightly from May 16, been using an alpha build from April 16 before that and I'm loving PAC! The only thing I can't seem to figure out is the headset volume. 70% of the time I use my phone is to listen to music. The overall volume level on PAC is a bit low for me, even with the safe listening volume setting disabled and volume maxed out I keep wishing for more. I'm on Galaxy S3 International if that matters, but I don't think it does - I've been using CM10 and 11 previously and some of their builds went way louder (I updated pretty much every week to the latest nightly and the max volume varied with every build). So I know it's not the hardware maximum volume that's keeping me down. I'd like to ask if there is an option / setting anywhere which would allow me to increase the maximum volume. It would have to be something deep down in the system I guess, I don't actually think there's a "Make louder" button hidden somewhere in the settings.. When I crank the preamp of my Poweramp the sound distorts, which to me suggests the sound levels in the software are okay, and then they get clamped by an audio driver / kernel / something like that.. I'm a linux user, so I'm comfy with shell & digging in system files, but I'm no Android expert, so I dunno where to start looking. Could anyone please help out?
I have the same issue while on calls ..guess they don't have solution for this
