[Q] Which ROM? And Kies?

So I'm going to be buying a Note 2 in the next few weeks, and I've been looking at ROMs. But most of them say Kies is removed?
I currently have a Nokia N8, and I use Nokia Suite to back up all of my messages and stuff, and I'd like to do the same thing as I currently do. And if Kies was removed, then I wouldn't be able to, right?
I need Wi-Fi tethering. I've also seen alot of ROMs don't have that working.
So what do you suggest for me?
There are many apps on the playstore which let's u backup all your messages and stuff so don't worry

first of all asking for best rom or nice rom is sort of prohibited.
look in development or themes and apps section.
kies sucks. i guarantee it.
use titanium backup instead and backup all system apps marked with green(green color name).
Google Play Store has everything.
There is nothing considered ss the best ROM.

Apps Safe to Delete/Freeze

So now that I've rooted my Tab 8.4... Which apps (particularly Samsung Apps) are safe to delete/freeze using Titanium? It's been a long time since I've had a samsung device, so idk what's what. So far the only Sammy apps that i've found to be useful are Watch On and the Multi Window feature...
Any ideas?

I searched some similar device forums for apps to delete. I froze them for a few days first though. I know the knox ones are ok to delete. Any samsung app is good as well. I cleared about 400 mb this way. Look in 12.2 Note Pro forums as well as the 10.1 2014 forums.

I rooted my 10.1 a couple of days ago and used this guide to remove apps:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2514703&page=14
I did pretty much all on that list and had no issues so far.
probably still some more that could be deleted...

[Q] Samsung Galaxy App Store, where is it?

So I have a stock unrooted Note 4. On TouchWiz I have two widgets, Galaxy Apps Essentials, and Galaxy Apps Gifts, both of these widgets take me to a page showing some apps, and then there is a see more Galaxy Apps link at the bottom. Clicking that link takes me to Samsungs App store. I can not find an App just for the Galaxy App Store though. Is there suppose to be one? Is there a way to get to it that I don't know? On my Note 10.1 2014 there is a Galaxy App store apk and app installed that lets me update these apps.
Going to the Samsung page to download the APK like I found elsewhere, there is nothing there for my phone.
Any ideas? Right now I want to use a non stock launcher, but that disables the widgets to get to the store.
As you indicated, you likely have to be using the stock TouchWiz launcher and place the Samsung Apps widget on one of your homescreens. At least, that's the only way I've been able to access the Samsung app store.

Seems weird. Like I mentioned, on my Note 10.1 2014 edition tab, there is just a Galaxy App store application that I can run. I tried to install it on my phone.. bad idea.. So is the only way to access the app store literally through a widget? That seems bad, cause I don't want to waste a spot on a screen for a widget....
The Note 3 had an apps store shortcut in the app drawer. Don't know why but they only included the widget on my Note 4. I believe that with the Note 4 Samsung has begun de-bloating their mobile devices and I'm guessing removing the shortcut is a result of that.

You can download the apk on the Web. That's what I did

I got it on the web too. I think it's apps.Samsung.com
Edit: they changed that page. Idiots.

How please tell me!!
Yeah, Verizon strips the Galaxy Apps shortcut out of all of their Samsung devices. You can get to it through the Galaxy Apps widget, or by tapping the three dots in the upper right corner of the apps screen and selecting "Galaxy Essentials".
Or you can download the full version of Galaxy Apps from http://apps.samsung.com/jupiter/mw/apk_en.as
Once downloaded and installed, you'll see Galaxy Apps displayed with the rest of your apps.

Need to remove a certain feature in an app I use

I am using a Samsung Galaxy S3 T-999 SGH from T-Mobile. I am using an app called "Go Sms Pro" and I want to remove a section of the app that I consider bloatware. I want to completely remove the compass Icon and all of its options from the app. I have tried using different tools and apps to do this but I keep running into issues. If someone can help I'd appreciate it. I have an attachment that shows what I'm talking about but I don't know how to add attachments to my post.
Maybe ask the developer for assistance?

I could try I suppose, but I believe they cram the page in question into the app to push their other services so I probably will not get any help from them.

Samsung s9+ t-mobile carrier and Samsung pre-installed bloatware

I just found a guide on Android.gadgethacks to disable default Samsung and t-mobile& other carries bloatware, but I saw few guys had problem on xda with it, so I ask u guys is that guide is safe to use and what problems can I get via using? I mean, I just don't need this whole Samsung package, but I afraid that that app might ruin launcher that I couldn't even launch my phone properly after that guide, so guys help me plz with it..
Before uninstalling these apps, make a list with the apps that you want to uninstall and try to understand what each app is doing is how it can impact your phone.
