I am using a Samsung Galaxy S3 T-999 SGH from T-Mobile. I am using an app called "Go Sms Pro" and I want to remove a section of the app that I consider bloatware. I want to completely remove the compass Icon and all of its options from the app. I have tried using different tools and apps to do this but I keep running into issues. If someone can help I'd appreciate it. I have an attachment that shows what I'm talking about but I don't know how to add attachments to my post.
Maybe ask the developer for assistance?

I could try I suppose, but I believe they cram the page in question into the app to push their other services so I probably will not get any help from them.

I use bloat freeze to freeze a lot of the Samsung built in apps to improve battery. I find SyncmIDS uses a lot of my battery and can someone tell me whether I can freeze this without any problem and what it really does?
Thanks.

This link does not work anymore! Can you please tell is this process safe to freeze or even uninstall ?
Go ahead and delete it. I always remove it from my GS2 and I've never had problems.
hi
i can confirm- freeze it with no problem.

Anyone know what SyncmIDS is?
It is a Data Synchronization service that is employing the open source SyncML
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SyncML#http://forum.xda-developers.com) standard.
I believe Samsung is using it to support that Settings menu item "About" -> "Check for Update" to ring the home base and inquire about updates. Although it may be used for email, calendar and task sync also.

I've found that in the archive.

Had to tweak it a little bit in consequence of the xda url-restrictions for new members.

Can you remove this on your own from any ROM? I am running Synergy and am wondering if there is anything I can do to remove? Any help would be much appreciated!

First off Carrier IQ and HTC loggers are NOT pulled from Synergy RLS1!
When I use the "Logging Checker by TrevE" it stated that everything was removed:
CIQ not found - removed with app
No usage logs found - removed with app
but it still finds loggers:
data/data/com.android.htcprofile
anr_history.txt
If I delete the directory and reboot it just creates a new directory and txt file. How do I get rid of this? Should I even be worried about this?

One option for removing Carrier IQ on Android is to flash a custom ROM,with this option. Most will have removed Carrier IQ.
Another option is to get this app. It will tell you if Carrier IQ is on your device.
If it tells you that Carrier IQ is there, then the easiest way is to buy the premium version of the app from the Market. It costs $1, but the developer is legit (he’s actually the one who discovered Carrier IQ’s SMS keylogging).
I recommend searching for your specific device, as some phones haven’t been playing nicely with the removal app. If it doesn’t look good, then I'd recommend flashing a custom ROM instead.

That i'm not sure of,you would have to ask the developer or someone here.I'm sure someone will come along soon and help you.
Can't you just HTC .com to the host file?
So I've seen various threads on people who have successfully removed a ton of bloatware from their phone thus increasing performance but not harming anything.
Does anyone have a list of safe items to uninstall/disable from startup that will increase performance while not affecting the phones stability/important functions?
Thanks.
Anyone have a list? Or a link to one.

There was a list in one of the threads. You can just google "safe list of apps to remove galaxy s3". Another way though, it to look at the tmobile debloated uvalem rom thread. It has a screenshot with a fully debloated tmobile S3, which only has like 5 apps left. That will give you a solid starting point.

I believe the safe app list for removal is a Google doc listed under a specific carrier. I think it was sprint but not too sure.

This isn't specific to T-mo but it has most of the stuff you can remove. You can remove everything from t-mo except for the t-mo tether app with Titanium backup.
http://goo.gl/yWDoI
if your on stock and not rooted you can disable apps you don't use. just go to application manager, all and disable the app..
This is for a rooted T-mobile:

Not sure if that helps.
thanks for the info

Has anyone removed all three allshare apps and the samsung account back up, cloud data, and cloud synca, apps safely?
I know this isn't really a list of apps to uninstall, but here is screen shots of all the apps I have installed right now AFTER I got done removing all the ones I didn't want. none of the apps or hidden or disabled. So I guess you can compare and decide for your self what apps to remove.
I hope this helps at least a little sense the link for this thread pops up a lot when searching for this.
EDIT:
As I mentioned to TDunham on his thread for OA6 DeOdexed.....
For those of you taking the Lollipop update, there is an app in the playstore that enables all apps for Lollipop. It is also the only one I know of to work with Android L at the moment. Of course, this is unless any Devs here eventually modify the Lollipop UI on their own custom roms.
ROOT IS REQUIRED!!!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xpe.app.multiwindow.commander
After download.......grant SU, select apps, save and reboot. It's that simple. The difference is that NOW your MW will be on the right side with no thumb/arrow pull. You will have to double tap the back button to use. I'm not sure if this was a patent issue with Samsung, but it works.
I am just posting this as a pass-on. Moderators, feel free to delete or move this thread at will.
I don't need any thanks. Thank you's all go to the developers of this awesome app.
Its nice but it is a paid app. Devs technically wouldnt be able to implement that. Thanks for the find though. Im purchasing now

Yeah. I guess I typed that wrong. I meant that the devs on XDA have the ability to break down the UI to implement their own mods.
I multi-task with my phone, hence needing multiwindow. This app thankfully gives the solution "now". Great stuff.

What I do see is you quoting an Exynos version of your phones. Am I correct? There MAY be issues on International versions, as we here are on the Sprint(P) variant. I do know that not ALL phones will work with this app.
Are both of you rooted and on stock Touchwiz?
There was also an issue with the latest update as stated by the developer. Perhaps a simple clear of data and cache will solve this issue.

Have you tried contacting the developer?
Can you open the app itself at all?
I fear that your tablet MAY not be compatible, although some comments in the play store section seem to suggest otherwise. The developer states that the app fits all Galaxy series phones, and most galaxy tablets with KitKat or Lollipop. I'm sure there are exceptions.
I've attached my screenshots so you can see what you SHOULD have. If you can not even open the app itself to select the apps that you want, there's a bigger issue. Perhaps even try reinstalling altogether.
One pic is the slide window activated by hard-pressing the back button, now on the right side. The other pic is what the app itself looks like when you open it.

In read in the reviews section of the Play Store that a Tab S user is having no issues with the app. I have tried reinstalling multiple times. I open the app. The loading message is displayed and the app closes within a second. And that keeps happening every time I open the app.

Yes. I have also seen that some Tab users have had success. Did you get the initial request for root? If you haven't, there is your first problem.

The first time I installed, I did which was followed by the app closing. I reinstalled and I stopped getting the root request dialogue. Root is working as other apps are actively using root and requesting for it.

For those of you with FC's.....
I found that once I uninstalled the app, all my apps were still enabled when I was on stock DeOdexed OA6. But of course, I am no longer on a stock rom.

Marshmallow is supported by the app. Even if you side load the apk it will just open then immediately close. Xposed with Xtouchwiz module is the only way to go rightnow bro.
Let me start by being explicitly clear that I am NOT the developer, all credit should go to @blaz1nr who has created a script to remove bloatware from our devices, Lollipop builds. We are looking to identify the Sprint specific apps for deletion. Unfortunately I have already deleted most if not all the Sprint apps as I don't use them, but I am trying to help out with a comprehensive list. I am sure that I have missed some, can you remind me. Here is what I recall off hand:
Connections Optimizer
Connections Optimizer Updater
Sprint ID
Sprint Zone
Those are all the ones that I can recall. There is a much longer list of general bloatware here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...pt-galaxy-cleaner-lollipop-debloater-t3156007
Please let me know what I have missed.

Don't forget the devil of Sprint apps... ItsON.

Flashfire seems to work as well.
Ok so far every stock rom I'm getting does not have most of the listed apps. I'm going to look around some more to find what I need. While I'm doing that. If someone could look in the system and give me the folder paths, that would be helpful. Folder path would be something like (system/app/ConnectionOptimizer or what ever is needing to be removed.
