[Q] Android 4.1 stable version for defy plus - Defy General

Hi!
I have a defy plus with android 4.1 nightly version, however it has some annoying bugs, such latched and slowness ...
I wonder if there exists some stable version with fewer bugs for everyday use?

Yeah man use update in cm™ official site >get.cm< nightly released on month of Jan 2013 does the best one ...

Is the 4.2.2 by quarx with the 2.6.32 kernel more stable and fluid then the 4.1.2?

this is better (more stable) than the CM10 4.1?????

There is no such thing as stable, bugdree ROM. Please visit the development section and choose your best.

MIUI 4.0 for Defy MB525 ?

Hey,
MIUI 4.0 available for DEFY MB 525 ?
If available then anyone please update link this thread.
Regards,
Cheat.
Since MIUI depends heavily on CM sources, I don't think there will be an MIUI for defy before CM9 release. It might take some time.

MIUI 4.0 has been released for nexus recently. Defy ROM may come in future and yes it depends on CM team's success.
Wajk has ported MIUI v4 to the Defy. See the first post in the WIUI thread.
It isn't released as per today but Wajk has written "Next Week" as the release date
He has also posted a video of that ROM. Seems quite stable.

Wajk has still not confirmed if it will run on green lens...

Bluetooth for codefireX

Hi,
I'm currenlty using a JellyTime build but I have few issues (random restart, battery drained in few seconds and many others). I was thinking to use a 4.2.1 build and as far as I can see the only rom now with the latest kernel is the codefireX . The problem with this rom is that the bluetooth is missing. Is there a way to enable it maybe downloading a third-part app?
Thanks
Not yet, but synergye is working hard

NO MUTE either
The ROMS Codefire put out are very solid, however mute is not working either and that keeps me out. Glad I read all the posts to find that, and its the first thing I test with each release.
Yup, mute and Bluetooth are the only pending issues. The mute issue has been there since a long time (since 4.1.x), but the Bluetooth issue is new in 4.2.x because Google messed up something related to it in AOSP. The Nexus 7 on stock 4.2.1 has Bluetooth issues too.
4.2.1 vs 4.1.2
May I ask what is the different between
[ROM][4.1.2][SR5][2012-11-12] OFFICIAL codefireX Periodicals
and
[ROM] [AOSP-4.2.1] [4.7.3-toolchain] [SR1] OFFICIAL codefireX Builds ?
Are they the same just one nightly build and one stable release?

The biggest difference is that the former is 4.1.2 and the latter is 4.2.1

So does it mean both use different Android kernel and the rest are identical?
I love the 4.2.1 ROM, all I need now is Bluetooth. I can manage without it for now but the ROM will be perfect with it.

Android 4.2.1.
Android 4.1.2.
They're two different versions of Android! Don't you follow Android news?
They use the same KangBang kernel by synergye, although development on 4.1.2 has stopped since 4.2 was started and so the last 4.1.2 stable release build uses a much older version of the kernel. Right now development is happening on the 4.2.1 ROM.

Best CM9 ?

Hei friends.i wanna try a CM9 on my defy.Who is the best for gaming and performance?

My opinion, if you priorizes gaming you should go CM7.2.
Thanks man!

The best CM9 is the latest 2ndboot Epsylon3 release: CM9-NIGHTLY-121118-Defy(+).
It has custom kernel, can be installed on Defy and Defy+.
Why not CM10?
Just curious, why don't you try CM10?
I'm using 20130217 (I noticed that 20130220 is out now) and it runs really well on my Defy+.
Project Butter makes it much more fun to use compared to the older releases.
@petter077 you're the best.I already running cm9.It's what I looking for.thanks bro!!

CM10 is the best!
Quarx 20/02, very good!
CM9 is more stable and smooter than CM10, even the latest CM10 has the very annoying ringtone bug.
Project Butter does not work on CM10!
We do not allow such thread on XDA develoeprs. Every ROM is different aand it's really disrespectful towards developers to choose the best.

AOKP differences

I'm really confused here. What is the difference between AOKP from their website and task650's aokp? Thanks.

an "AOKP" ROM is from the actual AOKP team itself. Task650, a dev, takes AOKP and makes mods and code changes. they both come with a kernel from their respect dev/team included
Which one is better in your opinion?

they're both good in their own respects. task's is a little more "bleeding edge", if you will.
they will both run well if you wipe and flash them correctly. AOKP just released build 6 of their 4.2.2 rom. their milestone (official stable release) will be here in april. i am waiting for that as i have been running their 4.1.2 milestone since last october. it runs flawlessly and with no issues.

build 6, i believe, was released with the 3.4 kernel (new) so there might be small issues. again, a lot of things are based on how you wipe/flash. also note that i said i only run milestones, not numbered releases.

All good roms, we need to try all of most considered a most smooth and stable for ourselves. And we hope bringing all of these
PERSONAL CHOICE dint try slimkat though some users have reported issues bout lag and no theme chooser as you have in cm 11 and also high ram consumption cant confirm but some users are facing it and yeah cm 11 is BUTTER you never know until u gve a try:thumbup:
