I bought a ago steinhel flex and I put it on my phone but after only two days one corner has been lifted I don't know what went wrong, I bought it specifically because I read wet protectors don't lift up on the edges :/ . I'm guessing is because I have a Neo hybrid sgp case which has really tight borders.
I just ordered a sgp ultra hybrid which borders fit a little looser on the phone, what do you say should I buy another steinhel flex? Or maybe try the sgp oleophobic which is supposed to be smaller, but it is a dry application which people here are not fans of, maybe try the xo skins case fit?

Tpu cases usually work well. Try diztronics revision 3.
let it be.
the 6 for a dollar ones I get from eBay doesn't interfere with any of my cases. I always suggest those.

it's a common problem for phones whose screens are almost in line with the bezel and if you have a case that covers the bezel. the only solution i saw is to use a smaller protector so the corners of the case would not touch the corners of the protector so it prevents lifting.

the man who's post i will forever keep in my sig. hahaha. good you mentioned that. i didn't actually use my diztronic protector as i have a capdase klia on my gnex. but since it's cut between the size of the actual screen and the one that sgp makes, it seems to not give me any peeling off issues. i guess i'll just keep my free diztronic protector then. hehehe
chances are you have the full screen version if you got the rev3 case. i think the almost to the edge sp's were shipped with earlier versions of the tpu.
i have the full screen xoskins using my diztronic. it doesn't lift the corners or anything!

I agree with you. I used to waste money on "premium" wet and dry screen protectors but I end up going back to cheap plasticy screen protectors lol. They are so easy to apply, no yellow peel, no draggy feeling and I can just replace them any time I want with peace of mind

Haha, yeah exactly! I used to get mad at myself for spending like 14-15 bucks on those wet application types... And only for it to peel off and make the screen look ugly.
I was so mad today. I bought the xo screen protector and had it on for 2 days. I decided to go for a jog and used my arm band case. After the run I tried to remove it from the arm band case, the plastic on the case stuck on the glass of the phone so tight it actually lifted the screen protector while I was trying to remove it so it got ruined. Just a heads up for those getting those "wet application" protectors. Ordered those plasticy clingy ones right after.

Hey MIME owners
it seems like wherever i read everyone only got the ghost and i was wondering why?
i thought the Feather was lighter, thinner and protects as well (which is why it costs more)
is that not the case? because i prefer a-bit thicker if it protects better (the ghost that is)
I would say this: If you'll be using a case, go with the feather. I just put the Diztronic case on my Nexus 5 with ghost and the corners immediately started to lift. If you aren't planning on using a case, go with the ghost. It has rounded edges which will help prevent chipping.
[edit]Although I haven't confirmed that the feather works with cases. I believe I read it in one of the Mime main threads.

Cruzerlite TPU cases can work with mime ghost without lifting the corners:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2512135&page=17
It's strange, because my SGP steinheil, which is plastic screen protector, has it's corner lifted when using those cases. Other SGP cases work fine though.
I think it's actually correlated to how precise you installed the screen protector. Mine is a bit more inclined to the left, thus my bottom left corner is lifted when using cruzerlite tpu case.

Oh ok. Then I think it depends on the tightness of the case. Since depending on which side I slip first into the case, the other side is where the corner starts to lift.

I have ordered MIME Ghost glass. I too had the same question before buying. I sent them an email. this is their reply:
Our Ghost Glass protectors are thicker (0.32mm) and offer slightly more drop protection, while our Feathers are half as thick and twice as light. Our glass is cut from the same source, so surface hardness is identical.

Got my Mime Feather to replace the defective, Glas.tr. Early impressions:
Feather is much thinner, easier to apply, seems more oleophobic and has no bubbles (when naked). Can't compare the smoothness bw the two but it seems the Feather is just slightly better, maybe its because of being more oleophoic.
When i put the Cruzerlite bugdroid case on, the Feather right corner does have a bubble. IMO, the Feather is much better and cheaper than the Glas.tr

well it seems like some people also said they put the Feather on perfectly, because u can actually pull the Diztronics a-bit to be ABOVE the ghost.
also im wondering what if u got the Diztronics and you put it on and THEN put the mime on, and align it using that?

i used feather and its a perfect fit with the official bumper case, if Diztronics is the same as the official one maybe that would work:fingers-crossed:
I would say this -- if you're at all (and I mean even the slightest bit) rough with your device, don't even consider the feather.
First off I was trying to push out some corner bubbles I had when installing the protector, I pushed with my thumbnail, not stupidly hard ... and cracked the edge. I thought it was a fluke, ended up doing the same dammed thing on another corner knowing I couldn't press hard. I sent an email to Mime, explained exactly what happened and they sent me a code for the Ghost glass. As I was waiting for the new glass to arrive I somehow chipped the glass again, this time about 1/2 inch from the top of the screen. I have no idea what caused that one.
For the record I've had 2 other devices with Mime Ghost, and an iPad Mini with a BodyGuardz Glass screen protector that have no issues. Personally I think the feather is just to thin for its own good.
See attached. That's one week with the feather glass. I have the Ghost on there now. I'll definitely buy from Mime again .. but I know better than to get the feather next time!
Pardon my ignorance, I ordered a ghost. I just wanted to know if these glass protectors provide any other advantage over plastic ones except the touch feel that they give

This a thousand times over.
The benefits are a bit hard to put in to words. It's more than just the touch feel. There's a solidity to a glass protector that you can't get with plastic. There's an "invisibility" that comes with glass - even with the clearest plastic protector, you still know it's there. The glass protectors also stick better in my experience. You can toss the phone in your pocket without worrying about an edge lifting up.
Again, it's really hard to explain how big a difference it is, but as Philly Jim said ... once you go glass you can never go back. The first time I bought one, I really questioned my sanity. Now, I don't even consider the other options and I factor the glass into my device cost.
Let me state it 1st, I like my N5 naked. It really feels good in my hand, but the hard reality of the world is I will drop it, again. 1st time I was sitting on a chair and put the phone on my leg and I said to myself, take it off your leg because when you stand it it will fly off. And boys and girls what did I proceed to do? You guessed it, I stood up and the phone hit the concrete floor on the right corner and kind of popped open. I squeezed it shut and no harm. Anyway, after that I had been looking for a case and bought I think 3 others. They were all thin and 2 with the clear backs and 1 without, but they all added too much bulk and worst of all for me was the fact when I actually used the phone, something sharp would rub my ear and drive me crazy.
So, I had the following criteria; minimal, no top and bottom covering and had to raise the phone up slightly when I put it down on its face.
Well, the new release Ringke Slim going for around $7.99 is perfect for me. I covers the corners so if I dropped it I feel it would absorb the blow. It's raised just a little so when I lay it down it is off the surface. It has no top and bottom so does not hurt my ear and its cheap! I would of paid pretty much anything for a really good case, but I found it for cheap. I still have to put my glas screen protector on, like I say I really like it naked, and with that on it should be pretty safe.
I can't really see anything being thinner, except maybe just a bumper, but I have not seen one I like. I will be leaving the Slim on my phone.
It's a great case for those of us who like a more professional look with a minimalist form factor and the feel of the naked N5 back with an added grip factor. I'm with you
There is a similar case that's cheaper and believe it or not thinner, albeit minor. Bear Motion. I have 2 and while they are slightly thinner and have very smooth edges unlike the stock rearth slim, they are very slippery in the hand. Too slippery for me.

The spigen ultra fit and ringke slim are both good minimal cases. You can't go wrong with either.

Thanks for the additional case suggestions, I'm going to investigate the Bear Motion. I could not imagine slimmer but the slippery factor may be an issue. The slim is not as nice, to me, as the naked back, but not bad in terms of grip.

Yeah when it is new you are correct. How long have you had it? Reason I ask is because after your finger/hand oils get on the case it then becomes very grippy like rubber. At least that has be my experience.
I'd also imagine it can be dependent on where you live and the weather. If it's cold and dry this case could have a little slip to it.
NX5
The Ringke Slim is a terrible case. It scratches the device, sharp corners all over it. Do not recommend it unless you want to scratch your phone.

Yes ultra fit is too tight that it scratches the phones corner
I'm not quite sure it would protect your phone from a drop. There was a post on here not to long ago with a cracked nexus 5. In the picture it was wearing the spigen ultra slim which is very similar to the ringke. The glass screen was cracked at the bottom where it took full force of the fall because there was no protection there.

It's the best case I've used so far. Highly recommended if you want a case that doesn't take away from the look and feel of the N5. I've taken the case off and on over a dozen times and I have no scratches at all on my phone corners. As for the sharp corners of the case, about 30 seconds with a nail file takes care of it

Sure it does. It depends on many factors. How high it drops from, how it lands, what it lands on, etc....
This is a minimalist case with form factor, scratch resistance, and looks as the priority. Not drop protection. If one wants strong drop protection then this case is NOT the one to buy. One should then purchase a thicker bulkier 2 or 3 piece "fat case" like an otter box or similar.

Not everyone has the scratch problem like you guys have had. I have a Ringke Slim and have never had it damage my phone, and I quite like the case. I also switch between different hardcases often and there are no scrapes in sight.
Also, it's unfortunate dice that you damaged your phone from your drop with a hardcase case on it. But don't criticize a person for recommending one because his good experience differed from yours.
It seems you've got some personal vendetta and drive to go into every hardcase thread and badmouth them.

Are you using a White or a Black Nexus? I have a feeling that the sides of my white one will end up getting damaged over time with this case, just because that's how glossy stuff is... Regardless, thanks for mentioning the case and it's nice to hear that the interior is matte. I just wish that there was a case similar to the 360 Spigen case that covers the top and bottom as well, and is matte on the inside.
But for now, i guess the Ringke will do.

I do have the black N5 and the black case, on the black phone you almost have to take a 2nd look to see it has a case. I do like the way on a white case the white would show on the top and bottom. You may be right but, the rubbing of just the day to day may be enough to wear it down. Well good luck in finding a case and let us know what you decide on.

I think I'll have to just settle for this one, as every time a company creates a minimal case such as this (like Incipio's feather line), they will always leave the top and bottom exposed.
I'm slightly concerned regarding the buttons being exposed, but I'm sure that since Google has a rev. 2 variant with better buttons, any issues I come across during the warranty period will be addressed.
I remember with my HTC EVO I had left that it in a Seidio Surface case which wrapped around all sides and it still got dents/scuffs/scratches just sitting in the case because of small bits of dirt or something would slip in. Oh well, such is life
I was using one of the $.99 eBay cases and dropped my phone a couple of weeks ago face down and of course the screen shattered. I just got it repaired and don't want this to happen again. Are there any cases that people can recommend that would protect the screen if I were to drop it facedown again?

I honestly don't know how anybody can stand using the zagg, feels like you're running your finger across rubber to me. I have a spigen glaS TR, works great with the slim armor case. The others that would maybe work for you would be the trident aegis and the seidio active.

yeah, i love how it feels. lol. been using it also on my old device.
for the op, i been using the ultra-hybrid btw. really nice and not bulky feel.
I swear by my Diztronic TPU cases, been using them since I shattered my One S screen.
One of the main reasons is the amount of edge lip around the screen to protect it.
Having a lip on the case doesn't really stop the glass from shattering in any way. It's more to protect from scratching the screen when placed face down.
For drop protection, you need a cushion or buffer zone where some of the impact can be absorbed by the case and not the phone itself.
I hope going back to the Spigen case will save me now, same thing happened to me when I changed to a cover case which conveniently when I dropped my phone the cover opened up leaving my phone unprotected to fall on it's own screen and completely shattering, guess I should have stuck with the Spigen ultra hybrid.
Basically just what the title asks. Can anyone point me to the slimmest case available that offers some protection for the camera? Thanks in advance.

It does not protect the top and bottom like many snap on cases but is thin and has a raised area around the camera. I'd be comfortable laying the phone on a flat surface now. I have the spigen rugged armor which is thicker and protects the entire phone.

Looks sweet. Thanks.
Can't comment on Nillkin or Spigen cases, never had them. I went Ringke Fusion on the LG G4 and have never looked back. Received my v20 case today (clear/smoke) and put it on. It's VERY marginally recessed compared to where the camera bump is. Is perfectly flat/balanced on an even surface, so you can operate the phone one-handed on the desk if you need to.
My recommendation is to leave the plastic film on the back of the phone where the camera is, any protection you can give it without affecting photo quality will help. I just need a good screen protector now...
Hope that helps.

Nillkin also makes one that is a TPU case. I had it on my N6P & it was really nice. I opted for the Encased this time because I wanted a hard case, TPU never keeps it's full shape after a while..

I tried the Spigen Liquid Crystal Case and it is the most minimalist but doesn't have enough protection in my opinion.
I ended up returning it not for that reason, but due to the "yellow" tone of the case itself...I contacted Spigen and they are looking into replacements.
I purchased the Ringke [Fusion] Clear PC Back TPU Bumper in Smoked Black...perfect fit and better protection that looks great with the Titan V20.

If you want something with protection while being slim, I'd suggest the UAG LG V20 Plasma Feather-Light Rugged. Been using it since I got my V20 and it's slim and light with plenty of grip, originally I thought that it'll be big and bulky like the OtterBox cases but it's slim enough and knowing it's UAG you don't really have to worry about protection. Even tho it's pricy it's worth it.
You can consider using the Verus crystal bumber case, this and others like spigen to name a few are your only option, just keep the protection film on for added protection, for me I also added a tempered glass protector for both camera lens without any affect what so ever.

I went through quite a few cases and ended up purchasing the Nillikin case and absolutely love it. I needed a case with added grip and some camera protection.

It does not protect the top and bottom like many snap on cases but is thin and has a raised area around the camera. I'd be comfortable laying the phone on a flat surface now. I have the spigen rugged armor which is thicker and protects the entire phone.

I ended up buying this case. It arrived today and my search is now over. There's simply no way a V20 case could be slimmer than the Nillikin while still offering camera protection. It's awesome. EXACTLY what I was looking for, so thank you!
The top and bottom are protected well enough with the lip extensions on each end.
I bought this off aliexpress, and it's pretty great. perfect fit and some improvement in grip.

downside is, it's glossy and quite the fingerprint magnet especially in a humid country like SG, and the alignment is slightly off for the fingerprint/home button.
otherwise, the port covers are awesome and it'll definitely prevent the lint buildup.
looking to get a tempered glass next.
also, for SG sets, it comes with a promotional pack of 3 back protectors and 2 iRing and a screen protector. will upload pictures soon!

I agree, one of the thinniest case around with the best protection, the case has a built in dust cap for both the charging port and headphone socket.

Actually it was you who I quoted, but I though you went for the tpu one by nillkin, not the hard case, so yes, it was a mistake on my part.
The Spigen Rugged Armor. 12 bucks on Amazon.
Evocell $10 or less. 3 layered case with holster. Thin and protective. Found on Amazon. Search Evocell LGV20.
