if you need stock rom..i have made flashable zips of it so you can just flash it like regular rom and then done..check my work from my signature..
and also if you want to unroot phone fully and install stock firmware you need your original ruu,for that i have made guide check my work.

Thanks, going to check it out

I had a look at "your work" and I can't make sense of anything. I'm downloading stuff and putting it on a micro sd card and going to Recovery and installing from zip card. But I still get the words etc in my first post.
All I want to do is get back to the original state that the phone was delivered. The phone is from England and is on TMobile.
Can you supply help in simple terms, as in...
1 - download this
2 - install this
etc
etc
Thanks for any help, this is all new to me and I very much doubt I will mess with the phone once its back to the original state

you need to check this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39043412&postcount=8
and download this and all are links of my appropriate threads..
i advised you to just install stock rom flashable zip.it ll put stock rom in your phone and also no hassle..
for original state meaning fully unroot and stock recovery ll be confusing and all you need your original ruu for that.

Thanks for the info so far. But I get to this stage
put it phone in usb mounting mode, and put that PG76IMG.zip on it and patch with goldcard.img
now just put that sdcard on your phone and wait...phone will detect zip and it ll asked for confirmation..say yes with volume up and you will be unrooted after sometimes(this process takes upto 5-10 min)

My phone is attached to my computer, I select usb mounting and the computer finds the sd card, GOLDCARD, and I copy PG76IMG.zip on to it.
What does patch with goldcard mean - how do I do it? Is the sd card supposed to be in the phone, or in the computers card reader when it is being patched?

[Q] s-off struggle

Having difficulty achieving s-off via alpharev 1.8 with my gsm desire and wondering if anyone has any hints!
Previously 3 network branded desire, to which I have done the following:
Goldcard created via revskills
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile...gold-card-for-htc-desire-without-hex-editing/
rooted with unrevoked 3.2.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788044
SU and busybox running, and Clockworkmod recovery 2.5.0.7 installed via rom manager.
So I have burned the Alpharev 1.8 image to CD and am booting from that OK, it is detecting my phone but says it is unsupported or not recognised - all the fields such as CID: etc are empty. The "goldcard" is in the phone..
Tried recreating the goldcard via above, both from original goldcard.img and by starting over completely and retrieving the CID again. Each time the revskills goldcard tool tells me I have a goldcard!
I have not flashed any new ROMs although I intend to - I wanted to goldcard and s-off before doing this
BRAVO PVT1 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT 0.93.0001
MICROP 031d
RADIO 5.11.05.27
So it seems Alpharev is not able to pick up any information from my phone - is it because I have created the goldcard (and thus debranded and unlocked my phone)?
Do I need to flash a stock rom to get s-off to work?
Do I forget about s-off and just flash a new rom?
Should I see a goldcard.img file on my "goldcard" - I don't see any files right now!
Do i need to downgrade in some way?
Any help appreciated as I am a bit lost!
Can't say about the debranding off your phone, but in regards to just the s-off, i did the following and it worked for me with no problems at all..
You probably already saw this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=805811
1.flashed stock rom (i used the one i backed up right after first root) Because i came from miui rom version that used 2 partitions (ext3) and alpharev recommends using stock roms instead.. Otherwise the process can hang or crash..
2. S-off via virtualbox method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8590461&postcount=31)
3.Flashed new rom
4.done
Oh and be sure you mount SD Card (mass storage) and in USB Debugging, when connecting USB and watch the phone's screen, because it may ask for superuser rights.
First time with the virtualbox, it gave me same message about unrecognised device, but then i found out i forgot to mount my SD
Hope this helps a little..

Firstly, do you have USB debugging enabled on your phone? It won't be recognised if you don't.
1. You don't need to flash a stock rom although I've seen recommendatiions that a rooted rom as close to stock as possible gives a better chance of sucess.
2. That is what I did at first. S-off isn't necessary if all you want to do is try out different roms. The only thing I've really used it for is changing the HTC spalsh screen on boot up.
3. No you won't see goldcard.img on the sd card. In fact you won't see any evidence that it is a gold card other than it works.
4. No you don't need to downgrade at all. I S-off'd mine from a rooted froyo 2.29 stock rom

what SD card did you use to make. a goldcard? i tried converting my 8HB stick to a goldcard but even though the goldcardtool tells me it was successfull it was not.
if you did not use the SD card HTC gave you, try again with that one. it worked for me...

Check that USB debugging is enabled.

Thanks - I definitely had USB debugging on, but to be quite honest I can't remember if I had mass storage or charge only.
I didn't touch the screen of the phone at all - so it may have been sat there waiting for superuser I guess.
I will try again with these two in mind and then move on to Virtualbox if I have no luck there!

Thanks it's an interesting point!
I used the Samsung 4GB card supplied with the phone, it had been freshly formatted to FAT32. The only part I wasn't sure about when formatting was when setting the drive size option (a range of options from 32kb to 1024kb were the choices I think), so I just went with default. Maybe that makes a difference?

OK well USB debugging on - check, SD mounted as disk drive (not charge only) - check, no screen asking for su rights - check.
Still the same result so time for a try of Virtualbox.
Thanks again for your input!
Virtualbox runs fine but still returns the same problem, phone is not recognised!
From doing more reading I think my next step should be backup, wipe, flash rooted stock rom, then try again. I am going to use the rom from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=773997
Do I flash rom and radio, or rom without radio? My common sense tells me without but confirmation would be good!
Now running Oxygen rom which rocks...
In order to get s-off create a alpharev bootable usb using universal usb installer.....just search how to create usb using this software...
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA Premium App
Having read the entire "How to s-off HTC desire" thread, it seems some people followed the procedure and got s-off whilst running oxygen rom, i.e no need to flash stock rom.
Anyone know if that works? Also, should I turn off my screen timeout in case I miss a superuser request? I will be trying the livecd method.
Thank you all!
The live cd method worked fine for me just now, in under 10 minutes I have S-OFF!
I actually just got this to work fine with the CD method - about 8 minutes and I have S-OFF!
The problem must have lain with the stock rom I was left with after creating a goldcard and rooting. Is it possible that this process leaves you with your stock (shipped) rom that has no identity, hence not recognised? Indeed, is that the point of creating the goldcard and I am missing it?
Anyway I post this for anyone else considering the procedure - Alpharev S-OFF 1.8 works fine for a rooted Desire running Oxygen 2.0.1 and Clockworkmod 2.5.0.7. No need to restore a backup - it booted just fine first time after the procedure.
Thanks all for viewing and posting

Mate, Thank you.
I installed Oxygen, ran Revolutionary and away I went. Less than a Minute. Seems my ROMS were causing the issues. No need for a Gold Card and it is a Class 10 Card.

[Q] HTC Desire HD stuck in hboot, no recovery

First off, I know there are a lot of posts with this problem. Mine seems to be slightly different or I'm just stupid. (Probably the latter) Anyway, Desire HD stuck at hboot. S-OFF, cant get into recover either. SD card is blank. Here is what it says at the screen.
ACE PVT SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-0.85.0007
MICROP-0438
RADIO-26.03.02.26_M
eMMC-boot
and a date.
Also, I usually pay people to root my phone but I cant do it this time around. I updated the ROM and now this. Please help! I can pay you if you can figure it out.
Thank you so much
Are there no options or text below the date? It should say "HBOOT" or "FASTBOOT" and present a small menu of coloured text options.
Also, what ROM did you update before this happened?
It would be good to know exactly what steps led to your problem before suggesting how to fix this. Try to give as much detail as you can.
It says Hboot. and yes, has the options below. The last update was for Cyanogen 7.0 but didnt like it. I went to go back and just recover the back up of what I had because I liked what was on there and yeah, didnt work out so well. Got to love your friends. lol
I have tried bortaks troubleshooting guide and flash a new recovery using android flasher but that doesnt seem to be working either. When I go to recovery, its just sticks me to the splash screen and wont do nothing.
Firstly, as long as you have a working bootloader, your phone isn't bricked and can be recovered.
Well it seems you are Radio S-Off (Ship S-Off), but you also need Eng S-Off to flash a recovery from the command line using fastboot.exe. I'm pretty sure danward's Android Flasher uses fastboot, so I'm not surprised it didn't work.
What to do next depends on whether you can get access to your sdcard from your PC. If you can - with a card reader in the PC, or another phone to put the card in and connect via USB - then go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905003
Download the stock 1.32 PD98IMG.zip ROM from Section 1 and put it on the root of your SD card. Then put the card back in your DHD, and reboot into the bootloader.
It should recognise the PD98IMG.zip file and ask if you want to flash it, press Volume Up to confirm. This will put the stock 1.32.405.6 HTC ROM on your phone - this is an early shipped HTC firmware and it's the easiest version to root.
Edit: Note this file and the RUU below are for a Desire HD, and I don't think they will work on an Inspire - see later in the thread for some links to Inspire files.
Once it's flashed, it will replace everything - ROM, Recovery, radio - with the stock versions so you'll need to use the hack kit again, but you should still have Radio S-Off. Also remove the PD98IMG.zip file from your SD card when done, otherwise each time you go into the bootloader it will ask if you want to flash it.
If for any reason you can't get the PD98IMG.zip onto your SD card, you could try running an RUU (Rom Update Utility), this is the official HTC firmware in an EXE file you run from your PC. Plug your phone in via the USB cable and run the RUU file. You can find them here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19101263#post19101263
The 1.32 version isn't there, so I would go for the next oldest WWE version (WWE = world wide edition, i.e. not carrier-branded)
RUU_Ace_HTC_WWE_1.72.405.3_R_Radio_12.28e.60.140f_26.04.02.17_M2_release_161342_signed.exe
If that runs, it will do the same as the PD98IMG.zip, i.e. put your phone back to stock HTC firmware, but once again you will retain Radio S-Off.
I don't know much about the Ace Hack Kit as I rooted my phone before it came out, but I'm pretty sure that it will root either of those two versions of the stock firmware just fine. Good luck!
I downloaded it 3 times from 2 different sources, put it on my sd card, still nothing. Am I doing anything wrong?
Is you USB cable still connected? If it is, the bootloader will go into FASTBOOT mode, and you need to be in HBOOT mode. What does it say under the date, fastboot or hboot?
If it says fastboot, just pull the USB cable out and reboot the phone.
Otherwise I'm not sure why it's not working.
I tried both ways. hboot and fast boot. All you need to do is start the phone up on h boot right? It runs through those codes looking for it and says not found on all 4 of them.

This is probably a stupid question, but it is definitely a Desire HD, right?
What file names does it say it's looking for when it runs through the codes, does it definitely say PD98DIAG and PD98IMG?
Maybe try the RUU method instead?
Inspire from ATT, same thing right? Its says
sd checking....
loading....[PD98DIAG.zip]
No Image
Loading....[PD98DIAG.nbh]
No Image or Wrong Image
Loading....[PD98img.zip]
No Image
Loading......[PD98img.nbh]
No Image or wrong image.
I would try the other method but I cant find android 1.0 usb driver that it apparently needs. It will still flash though for some reason. What do you think?
The file is definitely called PD98IMG.zip and is on the root of your sd card?
Edit: Any drivers should be installed when you install HTC Sync on your PC, if you haven't done this already get it here:
http://www.htc.com/www/help/
PD98IMG is the file name and its a compressed file so that would make .zip. correct? I have nothing else on the sd card, just that.
Hmm, do you know how to turn on filename extensions in Windows?
For Win7, go to My Computer, Organize menu, then Folder & Search Options. Click on to the View tab and un-tick "Hide extensions for known file types".
Then check the filename again and make sure it ends .zip, and not .rar or something else. Some browsers can change the file name when downloading zip files.
Weird, though. I've just tried a PD98IMG.zip on my phone to check my instructions and it should be okay. I'm not so familiar with the Inspire, but if it's looking for a PD98IMG.zip you should be fine. I think the main difference is in sound files, but the ROMs are otherwise the same.
I checked it. Yes, it is named exactly that. I wonder why it wont run?
I think it's because it's an Inspire. Inside the PD98IMG.zip is a file called android-info.txt, and the first line of that is
Code:
modelid: PD9810000
The model ID for the Inspire is (I think) PD9812000. So it's not recognising the zip as valid.
You'll need a PD98IMG.zip specifically for an Inspire. Maybe check the Inspire forums? Although the phones are very similar they're not 100% the same, and folks there might know which file you need, or where to find the right RUU. Sorry, I didn't realise the PD98IMG file would need to be different.
You might just be able to replace the android-info.txt file inside the zip with one from an Inspire, not sure if that would work though.
Edit: Also, for the RUU you probably need the US-specific file, which is RUU_Ace_Cingular_US_1.80.502.3_Radio_12.39.60.19_26.06.04.14
Edit2: Found this PD98IMG.zip which is for an Inspire, it's the same 1.80.502.3 version mentioned above.
http://www.multiupload.com/JELMZNSKDF
I think I found the file for the Inspire. I'm going to try that next. As far as that last post, That is way over my head, lol.
Good luck! The file linked above at the multiupload address is definitely an Inspire version, so try that if the one you found doesn't work. I'm off now but will check this thread again in the morning just in case.
Thank you so much for your help. I'll post and tell you what happened
Happened to me once, if push comes to shove down load stock Rom from dev section. It is an .exe file that will restore your DHD back to stock from h-boot u will have to root your phone again though ! Good luck

[Q] Help with Hboot

Hey,
A month ago i tried to use the ace hack kit on my Desire HD and I seemingly screwed it up.
I came back to it to try and see what was possible.
After trawling through tons of forum posts I found:
- When my SD card is in the volume buttons do not work, nor does power.
- The above is the same even when using the only other microSD card i have.
- I put the PD98IMG.zip on my other SD card and booted in HBOOT, it proceeded to work and gave me a CID error.
- Tried to make micro SD card a "gold card" but can't due to only being able to access HBOOT.
- Went HBOOT > Recovery > Vol Up + Power > Wipe cache and clear data > Install of Micro SD > Doesn't work and just restarts.
- I am concerned the S-ON may be a big issue here, i did try RUU (i think its that, from htcdev, but didn't work since the version was incorrect)
When i come into HBOOT this appears:
ACE PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-0.85.0024
MICROP-0438
RADIO-26.09.04.11_M2

Below this is how buttons work and options of which are; Fastboot, Recovery, Factory Reset, Simlock, Image CRC.
Any help would be much appreciated so that I can stop using this old bashed around Nokia E63.
I am more than happy to provide any information you guys can think of, just tell me how to obtain it please.
Thanks!

Your sdcard is corrupted to work as a gold card, that is why you get freezed in hboot. Get a new or different sdcard and then try flashing a ruu again.

Getting past the HBOOT no matter the SD card for me is done by just putting sd card in the split second after i see its entering HBOOT, this works and it does recognise it (Because i said I put the PD98IMG.zip on my other SD card and booted in HBOOT, it proceeded to work and gave me a CID error.")
Thanks,

You have to find a RUU from your carrier. Do the following, in a cmd session in the PC with the phone plugged in fastboot usb type: fastboot getvar all and then find the INFOcidnum and of course the INFOmain. With that information we can search for a RUU that works.

I guess that I have a RUU that might help. Just let me check and I will send a PM (private message) :good:
Edit: There´s no RUU for that CID, but you can make a goldcard and flash an unbranded ROM. Do you know how to do that?

Iribela, if you give me a couple hours we can manage to get connected via Teamviewer and I will lend you a hand. You will need a working android phone to make the goldcard. Here you have a tutorial on how that is done: http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-easily-create-gold-card-for-htc-desire-without-hex-editing/
The goldcard tool can be downloaded from here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/30674730/GoldCardTool_0.0.7.zip
I can lend you a hand on patching the sdcard. But I need you to get a working phone, so we can get adb working.
Teamviewer involves me taking control of your PC for a while to do the job...if that is ok with you.
So can i get my friend to give me a CID since he is on same carrier, my android phone won't work i can only get into HBOOT.
Once i get that CID i can manage, really appreciate the help.

the CID you are getting in the goldcard tool is from the sdcard, not from your phone. That is how you patch your sdcard to convert it to a goldcard. If you are not sure just wait for me. That is why you need a working phone but with your sdcard (or the sdcard you are going to use to flash the RUU)

Phone won't recover

To lead off, I've searched this and found a similar thread to fix it, but it didn't fix it, so I'm asking the question.
Here's what I was doing when I jacked up my phone. I was using Titanium Backup to uninstall some apps and (for some ungodly reason) system data. In the middle of unstalling items, the phone just shut down and attempted to start back up. It gets stuck in a bootloop, so I pull the battery and pull up Hboot. This will run Fastboot but won't find a recover image, therefore won't let me select Recovery while in Hboot. I put a recovery image (advice from the thread I mentioned above) and put on the SD card. It still won't find it. The only option is to start update, which puts me into a bootloop.
My info is as follows:
ACE PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-0.85.0024
MICROP-0438
RADIO-26.10.04.03_M
eMMC-boot
April 12 2011,00:55:45
I apologize if I haven't searched enough to find this and if it's been answered a couple hundred times.
Any advice on what exactly I need to do to flash a recovery? I do have multiple nandroid backups to flash, if I can just get to them.

I'm not sure how you messed up your recovery, but you can replace it. Follow instructions in the PDF in post #7 of the Ace Think Tank thread (linked in my signature). Start around the bottom of page 8 or 9, the section labeled "S-OFF no recovery."

Thanks for the response, bananagranola. I've tried the dropbox link for the PDF and it's not working. It might be the fact that I'm at work and we're only allowed to use Internet Explorer and it says IE cannot display the webpage. I'm assuming Firefox or Chrome shouldn't give me problems.Once I get home, I'll try it and search the solution you've posted. Can you verifiy that those choices would access the dropbox link if you're using something different than IE?

Thanks, that worked. And we all appreciate the time and effort you guys spend in giving us a great phone...and how to fix them when we break them.
That download you just gave me was the recovery.img file, inside the zip file, but bananagranola was referencing a pdf. Can you make that available? I believe that was what I was trying to download unsuccessfully.

bananagranola, I didn't see a section labeled no recovery, but the one I'm thinking you're talking about is labeled in the PDF as 7. Checking S-OFF and custom recovery: If this is correct, the 1st thing I see is to make sure I read ACE PVT S-OFF or ACE PVT ENG S-OFF. Mine actually reads ACE PVT SHIP S-OFF RL. Could this be a problem? Anyway, in this section, it assumes I can select recovery in the bootloader. Another question: If I can't select recovery, is my bootloader messed up? And if so, do I need to rerun the Hack Kit by attn1 to possibly re-root and fix it all? I haven't seen anywhere in the Ultimate Ace Guide v6 PDF where it refers to a messed up recovery. Sorry, I've got lots of questions.

Place in the root of sd card, reboot in hboot, follow instructions. You'll have the recovery, once done, remove the file from the root of the sd card or delete it.

At the bottom of page 9 there's a section in bold and underlined labeled "S-OFF no custom recovery." It's in 14.d). But it looks like Tei's got you covered anyway.

Just when I was feeling optimistic. I've put the recovery image on the root of my SD card and it still won't read it in Hboot. I found the section you're referring to, but one thing that I don't think will work is that when it states the following:
1) Boot in hboot and choose fastboot.
2) Plug the phone to pc (you have see fastboot usb in red phone)
My fastboot is still blue and it will automatically do it's thing, which is looking for a recovery and not finding one. Normally it'll come back to the Hboot screen and I can use the volume rockers and select Recovery.
So, A couple of months ago, I went from a 16gb to a 32gb card, and still have the 16gb card, so I put that in and I can recover properly with that one. So, thanks to you 3 for all of your help, but I want to ask one last question. I really want to use my 32gb card. Is there a folder, I have one named Android, for instance, that I can copy from my 16 to my 32 and get it working, or can I just boot up with my 16 and swap out with my 32 and hope everything gets formatted and saved as it should? Or, any other suggestions on how I can get my 32 to work, like any other files that I can copy over?
Thanks again for the great advice.

I could be wrong about this, but that sounds like a problem with the 32gb sdcard itself. I would try reformatting the 32gb entirely and try it again. If you do try swapping the cards out make sure you dismount/mount properly.

This morning, while my phone was up and running with my 16gb card, I took it out and put in my 32gb card. I shut down in recovery and restored a nandroid and it booted up fine. I then did a full reboot, just to check...and it worked like it's supposed to. I'm assuming something must have been restored with the card once I was running and shutting down the phone. Hopefully this thread can be some use to someone who might run into this problem, no matter what phone or ROM they might be running.
Thanks again to all who contributed suggestions and ideas to helping me out. My phone would have been a paper weight, or just a plain old phone with serious limitations if it weren't for the great people here at XDA!

HTC Desire HD Olleh Carrier

Dear all
I have olleh carrier desire HD (think Korean version). Already unlocked for any sim.
I need stock recovery for this set. I have tried all RUU with WWE extension and always get error "Error 12" signature verification failed.
Even if I try to flash recovery I get error bootloader....... ERR

I am facing issue that my mobile shows HTC white screen when loaded then shows olleh logo and then restart again & do the same process. Sometimes after 10 - 15 tries it starts and again give force close error or restarted when sense interface loaded.
Any help will be appreciated.

The CID was actually to try to see if there was a RUU for your phone. Unfortunately it is not. So, now you have to create a goldcard. For it you will need another android working phone and an sdcard that works as a goldcard.

I have a question
I have created goldcard to the best of my knowledge via process mentioned beneath.
But still I have S-on on HBOOT of desire hd
Process:
Have 2 GB Sd card & 8 GB Sd card. Tried both.
1. Format SD card by placing it in card reader. (tried with both FAT & FAT32)
2. calculate CID i.e. 1b534d303030303010073d25b400a9b2 for 2GB card
3. reversed it i.e. b2a900b4253d071030303030304d531b
4. replaced first 2 digits i.e. b2 with 00. gives CID reversed 00a900b4253d071030303030304d531b
5. Copied it to http://psas.revskills.de/?q=goldcard and generated goldcard.img file
6. Putting card into card reader and connecting it with computer via USB slot.
7. Open Hxd editor. Open Removable drive under Physical Disk with unchecked Open as Read only.
8. Open goldcard.img file from Open Disk image.
9. Copied all offsets of goldcard.img window and paste write it on Removable Drive Image by selecting offset 00000000 to 00000170,
10. Saved edited Removable drive image.
11. Removing and checking whether card is still readable.
12. Putting it back into mobile slot of SD Card.
13. Entering in HBoot and still getting ACE PVT SHIP S-ON RL
If I am missing something kindly help.

Goldcard won't make the phone S-OFF. Just will let you flash any RUU and avoid the CID signature failed. But you haven't flashed a RUU, so nothing changed.
