Hello! I would like to shout out to all the Desire HD owners in the Philippines out there and ask if any of you know a place where I can get my phone's screen replaced? I dropped it and well, you know, it got busted. The screen still turns on but the touch screen is only responsive in certain areas. So yeah, if there's anyone who knows a good service center or repair shop in NCR, please do respond, thank you!

Ive been using the virtous fusion rom, overclocked the rom to about 1.2 the highest. Cat, dropped the phone last night. worked afterwards. this morning the phone screen wouldnt turn on. charged the phone to max, took out the batt a million times. nothing. seen the actual screen maybe twice from doing the above things. dont know what to do. currently in DR.
Same problem as this one?

Yes exactly same problem, without the whole part of that user sending his phone back to htc, and wanting to brick his phone. I want to get it fixed. thought maybe i did something wrong by overclocking it. I dont know and I paid too much for this phone to just throw it away. Im in dr, without a tmobile plan, and calling htc or tmobile is out of the question because I live in DR, and brought this phone off craigslist. Avid xda-dev reader. willing to do everything to fix my phone back to how it was!
lol just realized you where the one who had the problem. what did you end up doing?
Warranty the bugger or send it to a phone repair store.
IM IN SCHOOL IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, just gave the phone to a dominican phone repair shop, told me to come back in the morning, dont expect them to fix it tho
WOW, i have the same problem. Please some1 help!!
First off being in DR or anywhere else, reguardless of where you purchased it, its still technically under htc warrently. The reason is the phone has not been out for over a year, so all they are all still under warrently. Just call htc and say you bought it cash at tmobile store when it came out in usa, and have since moved to DR. They will have you send it to be replaced.
Before you send it in, follow my post here to unroot:

If you don't want to do that and fix it yourself your going to need a new LCD screen, not digitizer.
Goodluck, let me know how it goes.
Hey everyone,
My friend SWIM has a few question regarding Galaxy S2 (T989). SWIM currently has two galaxys, one is blacklisted/unusable and the other has a busted screen.
First off, since SWIM has the blacklisted G2, is there a way to take out the motherboard from his busted one and install it into his blacklisted one?
or is it cheaper to just replace the screen and can he do it himself?
Thank you in advance.

The board is very easy to replace. On the other hand the cracked screen isn't. With these phones you actually have to purchase the LCD/Digitizer/Glass to get the screen fixed. It's a pain in the ***.
Unfortunately I dropped my international HoX last night and cracked the glass and damaged the display. I read somewhere that the international and north american versions use incompatible displays/digitizers, but I'm curious if that's truly the case.
There's somewhere in my city that does display/digitizer replacements while you wait for $180. I'd rather not have to send the phone to HTC and wait a couple weeks if I can help it.
Does anyone know the answer?
Thanks.
I just got mine repaired at Mission Repair . I have the international version, but their site listed simply the One X - and didn't distinguish between AT&T and the Tegra 3 version. My phone should be back tonight, so I haven't had a chance to try it out for myself, but the notes on the repair order said there were no problems and the phone worked great.

I've had it back for a little over a week and I'm not very satisfied. The screen is definitely not the original part and colors are washed out and its hard to read text in some apps. Also, they did a poor job at putting the screen into the unit and the sides are leaking light and sometimes it looks like the whole screen will fall out of the rest of the phone. I'm going to be contacting them shortly to see what they can do for me. At this point, I would not recommend their services.
Hello, I have recently bought a phone off ebay (HTC Desire HD) and as it came locked to orange so I didn't notice the problem, later on when I decided to unlock it, guy at local phone shop said it's not locked but it has "faultly motherboard" and can't be fixed. I tried loads of different methods regarding this but nothing helped and I wanted to ask is it pernament "death" to this phone or it could be fixed somehow else without changing the motherboard?
P.S. sorry for bad english and lack of knowledge, but I'm learning!
The phone you bought was IMEI blocked, ask the seller if he was aware of what he was selling, because this happens when the phone is lost or stolen.

A chip has appeared on the top edge of the screen on my 10 (curiously, it's never been dropped *suspicious eyes*)
Anyone in the UK had a favourable experience with HTC Service Centre/repairs? Any idea on cost?
Thanks
Also, assume as it's not a warranty repair you wouldn't have to worry about returning to stock or any of that nonsense?
Let us know what happens...
I have experience with HTC support and the repair center in France...next to you...lol
