I need help
Flash a CWM zip for T989 and then reboot recovery.
it always failed.
Download rom manager and flash it

If ROM manager doesn't work you will have to use Odin.

I downloaded ROM manager, flashed CWM as instructed. I then booted to recovery but the ACS CWM beta was still there. Am I supposed to flash it in recovery mode?

It will only change cwm via rom manager, you will still have your old recovery on three finger boot.

If you flash the zip using your old CWM it will replace it. You cal also odin the tar version. Either will work with 3 finger salute.
Flashed it, but now can't mount SD from recovery. I'm on EI22 stock rooted. Do I need to re-odin everything? Thanks.
Hey guys, i was wondering if any one has a tar file of any clockwork mod recovery that i can flash in odin. I've searched all of the recovery threads in the dev section and it seems that all of the tar files have been pulled.
I tried to flash the newest Rogue recovery (stock EL13 1.1.2) and it didn't take. I am now stuck on stock recovery. I tried to use rom manager to flash clockwork but it not working, i also tried to rename the recoveries that i have in zip format to update but they keep giving the signature error.
Any help would be appreciated.

Open for suggestions here. I'm trying to flash cwr over twrp, but every time I boot into recovery I've still got twrp. Tried it using rom manager first, downloads and installs fine, says I'm using cwr 6.0.4.4, I boot into recovery using either the 3 button method or reboot recovery command, and I'm still on twrp.
Also downloaded the .img file from the cwr website and flashed in Odin, got a pass but I still boot into twrp. Any ideas?

That's weird. Its acting like you have a locked bootloader, which you don't.
Did you try using ROM manager app to install clockwork mod?
There are also flashable zips of clockwork that can flash in tarp recovery like like a ROM would be flashed. Tarp should stay after flashing but when you reboot to recovery cwm should be there.
If neither of those two things work, come back here with a very detailed step by step list of things you are doing to switch. We will see if younare missing a step

Go flash this from ODIN. Note, you can't flash a stock .img from ODIN, you'd do that with fastboot or a dd command.

Thanks guys, I downloaded a flashable of philz and flashed it though twrp and that finally worked. I had tried rom manager but that didn't work, and I had used this to package my .img file to an odin .tar

Still doesn't explain why CWM wouldn't flash over. You can use Mobile Odin to flash the CWM recovery img which should clear TWRP. This is just in case someone else has this issue. Don't be a denvercoder9

Hello i am needing to update my clockwork recovery as it is out of date.
But RomManager is not working for me, it downloads the recovery and says it flashes it but it doesent flash it, it's downloading 6.0.4.3 and when i boot into recovery my phone still says im running clockworkmod recovery v6.0.1.2
I don't mind manually doing it but u cant flash a .img file u can only install zips?
So can somebody help me update it, or get it to work please.

Had the same problem so I converted the .img recovery file to a .tar.md5 for ODIN. The file is linked to this post I'm the cm11 thread.

I have both recoveries installed on my d2att, but everytime I reboot into Recovery, TWRP shows up. But I actually need CWM. How can I replace or set CWM as default? I have flashed CWM through ROM Manager but TWRP still appears on my reboot screen. What do I do?
Try flashing Philz Touch Recovery via Odin.
Try using the method to install cwm in this thread.
