Hello i am needing to update my clockwork recovery as it is out of date.
But RomManager is not working for me, it downloads the recovery and says it flashes it but it doesent flash it, it's downloading 6.0.4.3 and when i boot into recovery my phone still says im running clockworkmod recovery v6.0.1.2
I don't mind manually doing it but u cant flash a .img file u can only install zips?
So can somebody help me update it, or get it to work please.

Had the same problem so I converted the .img recovery file to a .tar.md5 for ODIN. The file is linked to this post I'm the cm11 thread.

Hey guys, i was wondering if any one has a tar file of any clockwork mod recovery that i can flash in odin. I've searched all of the recovery threads in the dev section and it seems that all of the tar files have been pulled.
I tried to flash the newest Rogue recovery (stock EL13 1.1.2) and it didn't take. I am now stuck on stock recovery. I tried to use rom manager to flash clockwork but it not working, i also tried to rename the recoveries that i have in zip format to update but they keep giving the signature error.
Any help would be appreciated.

If ROM manager doesn't work you will have to use Odin.

I am stuck in CWM-based Recovery v5.5.0.4 on my S3 while flashing CM11. I read that I need the latest CWM to flash this.
How to I update CWM from the recovery mode? Where can I find the zip file?

Download the latest version of Philz Touch for the d2lte (it's based on CWM) and flash it via CWM or use Odin to flash it.

What can I flash first using ODIN so I can then go into that recovery and flash with 6.0.4.7

You need to fint the tar file. It will flash thru oden. Make sure it is for your make and model.

Go HERE, head to the Odin folder and download the tar file. Flash in Odin, boot into recovery and then flash your zip.
hey guys im on omega rom and i have twrp recovery and want to change to philz recovery?
how to do this?
Download the recovery zip that's for your phone and flash it in TWRP, rebooting into recovery should take you to Philz

Simply take hold of latest Philz recovery (tar file) and flash it via ODIN 3.09. Done.
