Hi guys i'm new to the forum and hoping to get some help.
Yesterday, i buy a second hand optimus g. I charged it up last night and turned it on to get it all setup and noticed that on the main screens there is a notice in red saying "user debug mode v3.0.094".. After some research on the web I've found that it is a developers handset.. It works fine when I put my sim card in it.
It really bothered me about the red notice or the fact that it is in developer mode and i cant get software update via pcsuite.
Is there a way to flash the firmware on the phone to a normal firmware? wish to have jelly bean in it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you go to LG's website - the support section - and search for the phone, they have a mobile support tool that is supposed to be able to reflash the phone back to the stock image. For some reason I have not been able to download the app to test it out though??? Please let me know if you have had any luck with it.
i tried the "lg software updater" a week ago,
it said "this model is not S/W update"

no wonder no developers want to touch this phone, once you screwed, you screwed! there is no way of going back! unless lg wake up and put recovery rom on that software!
There is a software updater and a support tool. For what you need, the support tool is what you need. Search for LG p930 support tool and you should be able to.find it... If I can actually download it I will see if it works and let you know.
I was trying to find info as well. My phone for some reason just went to a blank screen. Pull down works but no buttons. Tried hard rest and same thing. This is my 2nd nitro, 1st lost some settings in the display settings menu and now this. Might be time to just get the sgs2. I was trying to avoid the low res display but might be better with Samsung quality.

So the support tool is what we need to reimage the phone... Unluckily the support tool doesn't have our phone in it yet? Go figure... I emailed LG to see if they could tell me when they would have a recovery image for our phone. Hopefully they will have a suitable answer for us - I will keep everyone posted...
did u try the "volume down" and "power" button combo to see if it still goes to recovery or did u remove/format it aswell ?
Talked with LG support and there will be no recovery image coming from them per carrier request. The only way to get the phone re-imaged would be to ship it to their repair center in Fort Worth Tx... The agent did say that the phone would be updated to ice cream sandwich, just didn't have any dates that he could give me - understandable though annoying.
So we will just have to figure it out ourselves... I am probably going to see if I can re-create the recovery.img with a couple changes to the init.rc to see if I can get recovery to actually work.

Since we have download mode now, I wonder if Odin will work like for the galaxy phones.
I was wondering about that too... The problem is who is the firs guinea pig who may have a bricked phone? Does anyone have friends at their local AT&T store to insure an easy replacement?
not sure about At&T but with Bell mobility, if your phone doesnt boot up after purchashing, you have 30 days from the time of the activation to get over the counter replacement. no delays.
Can this international note 2 work on U.S. T-mobile? Comes with chinese jellybean software idk if it's even real or not......

I think the default language for the N7102 is Chinese.
As for 4G, im not sure. It should though since its Quad Band

Not sure what country you are in but HSDPA+ isnt 4G ... those guys with N7102 outside china appear to have continued issues & I dont think a they will ever get what they hoped.
I completely dropped my plan to get one after reading the threads.
My need is for one sim for calls & texts & Another for Data only (im in UK) so I got a N7105 & for the data sim a Huawei E586 HSDPA+ Mifi router which also has sms send capability.
The 7102 in my opinion has too many down sides just to get 2 live call lines.
No warranty ... already people are reporting faulty units.

I'm new here so I hope am at the right place. Anyway I tried rooting my gt-7102 and now it on continuous restart loop. I tried going to recovery mode by pressing the power + home and the volume up button but it just keeps on restarting showing a white blank screen which lasts for about ten seconds or so. I tried using Smart phone flash tool but it keeps on saying searching. Tried to work with mtk droid tools but it says device not connected. I can't connect to the device in any way as keeps restarting since it is continuously connected and disconnected from my pc after every ten seconds or so. pliz someone help.

This phone is an MTK or MediaTek phone, it has a different way of rooting it, Google FramaRoot and try with that. im not even sure how you were able to try to root it since i cant get into download mode in my phone but anyway, to unbrick the phone i guess you can try a jig or if not Google unbrick MTK and do some research. Hoping someone can provide some direction. First and foremost I am not a HTC savvy so although there are a few threads here about the same issue none of them relate to me as I have not rooted the phone nor flashed to custom ROMs or anything to that nature. I am simple user of the phone... Now.. to the topic.. so I bought this phone for my brother in law last year as a birthday present, and at the time I had a working phone so I didnt put my mind too much to it.. but I did liked the phone very much. Two months ago, I decided to purchase one of these, so I bougtht an HTC ONE X Phone S720e Android 32GB 8MP 3G WiFi GPS Bluetooth Unlocked White. I don´t recall what versión of Android it carried at the time but looking at the specs it should had come with Android 4.0.3. After loading it up, transfering my files on to it and loading some basic apps, whatsapp, email, Skype... it off coursed asked for a software update two times which I went ahead and did. The last one it installed added Android 4.2.2 and HTC Sense 5. It was working fine, layout changed considerably... now after doing another of the updates to applications and software, specifically the transfer files update it suddenly quit recognizing data services completely. I though it might be something with the micro sim, so I tried testing a couple of others, it didnt make a difference so I decided to back up my contacts and information I had on the phone and did a Factory reset. It wipped it clean but issue remains the sames, it is unable to even recognize the sim card is missing and when I go into settings I see the message Disconnected because service is unavailable.
Reading online, saw a few folks stating that this situation was related to software updates.. so I was wondering if I could get some help on how to get this fixed. Not sure what to do, downgrade to 4.0.3 or how could I get it resolved so appreciate some direction here.
If you go to settings - about - phone identity, does it still shows the imei ? Seen many people here having their imei gone from their phone and becomes an iPod since we can't write it back. Tho you are on stock, so better send it for repair.

It shows up as unknown actually... is this a software related issue then? Im concerned about the other phone going through the same situation... should no updates be installed to it then? That makes it fairly useless and might prefer to send it back and try to get a refund instead.

first of all I would like to say hallo to all members and thank everyone here for the continuous support provided, this site already helped me out a lot.
I've owned the SM-P605 for quite some time now, it's a really awesome tablet but one thing bugs me out completely ... I use a multi-sim and everytime I get a call on my normal phone I have a missed call on my tablet ...
I would really like to disable the phone function completely ... can anyone direct me to a mod or a rom, which lets me disable the phone function?
I know that for the N8000 there is a mod which let's you disable the phone ... but I've been searching for days now for the SM-P605 ...
Rooting, flashing, etc. is not a problem, done it a lot with various phones ...
I'm fine with anything, prefered would be either a mod or a ROM which has the stock Samsung interface and functions and the support to disable phone support.
I get over 50 calls a day so this is really annoying ... I'm really desperate ... and I really don't want to get another SIM for €30,- per month just to get rid of the phone function :/

I use the tablet in meetings, while on the phone and during appointments ... and I need internet connectivity for that...
So airplane mode is out of the picture sadly...

So...there is no problem at all..! you can easily put your tablet in airplane mode and then open the WiFi at no cost !
in that way you won't get those annoying calls plus you will be connected to the internet!

There is rarely a wifi I can connect to though, basically only at home (which is only about 5% of tablet use) ... means I need to use mobile data, which goes with enabling cellular network, which goes with receiving phone calls :/
Buuut I just found out about "Stocky Rom", seems like you can disable the phone with that one plus it has all stock rom features! Looks like exactly what I've been looking for ... I'll give it a shot (guess the dev was in the same situation I was lol)
If wished I can report if it worked ... I'm still open for other ideas though, in case the new rom won't do.
If anything fails I guess I could still open a hotspot on my phone, put the tablet in airplane mode, enable wifi and connect through my phone, that might even work x.X

Have you tried Blocking Mode ? I think it will work like a charm if you want to keep your 3g connection and just disable phone..!

That's actually worth a try ... but I always thought it "rejects" the incoming calls, meaning they won't get through on my phone either?
I'll give it a shot and report back.
Hello there,
I would like to ask if anybody dealt with retail mode on Lg Q7. I have bought one as a gift for someone and I there is retail mode active. I have looked on the internet for it, but only found G series tutorials for it. Since that, I am not sure if I can apply this for Q7.
Any response will be much appreciated!
P.S.: I have the code to enter the retail mode, but no code for settings of this.
