My SGS and my Tab have this widget but no longer in SGS2. Anyone notice this? Can i retrieve it from the old one and which.apk that it belong to?

If you mean SamsungWidget_FeedAndUpdate.apk, I tried putting it on the s2 but it will not run, just force closes. I don't know why they have left it out of the s2, its the reason I do not use touchwiz anymore and use launcher pro because that has a great Facebook feeds widget.
I see. Guess they only want us to launch social hub instead of the old widget.

Hi guys, why is the stock browser so much smoother when it comes to pinch to zoom compared to Dolphin HD browser? Are there any special tweaks that i can make it smoother within Dolphin's browser?
thanks guys!

That's GPU rendering taking effect I guess.

Thanks my friend! So the browsing on the stock browser does have a better experience after all Anyone have other recommendations?
Galaxy S II has the fastest browser dude! See the YouTube comparison video of the S II with the Sensation and other phones regarding web browsing (pocketnow video)

its the hardware acceleration
from what i understand the GUI is also hardware accelerated
NO lag at all
just like the IOS and WP7 which from what i understand is also hardware accelerated
android should have been like this in the beginning what was Google thinking !

Try boat browser. Its as smooth as the built-in browser

Just tried Boat Mini Browser my friend. Same as the others. Not as smooth as default browser when it comes to pinch and zoom. I am real picky abouy that as if try to do it with any other browser, it feels jaggedly like it is eratic or out of control. It is alittle better with 2 hands but definitely alot worse with 1 hand. Just compare the differences when you open up the same page with the default browser and any other...wish there were some tweaks for these alternative browsers.

I find boat mini to be just as smooth as stock, love it.3
It's GPU Acceleration, the UI elements are converted into textures which the GPU handles well. Same method Apple uses for it's UI rendering.
That is why the SGS2 feels so much more smoother than other android phones, not the processor.

You should try Opera Mobile. Very smooth and reflows text at any zoom level.

Tried almost all mentioned: Opera, Firefox, Boat, Dolphin HD & Mini, Miren...all about the same but nothing came close to the default browser. I think that Opera Mini was smoothest out of all the others. Remember this is about pinch to zoom, and not about scrolling and other browsing features.

That´s not true... your´e right with the other ones but opera mobile is as well hardware accelerated.
yes but, on dolphin as u zoom in the text is always readable and on the stock pinch zoom is smooth but if you zoom in a lot you have to actually pick your finger up so that the text is readable
i'd rather have an always readable text than smooth zoom with which I have to release my finger every time to see if the text is fine to read
Absolutely no way is opera mobile pinch to zoom is as smooth as the stock browser. I don't care if it is hardware accelerated or not. I thought it wasn't even as smooth as Dolphin HD. Tested that just now although there are tons of other features.

Absolutely.
The Stock browser is a lonely competitor of itself. Nothing can come close. I tried D-HD, Mozilla, Opera, D-HD is good, Opera is average or below and Mozilla is pathetic.
Regards.
Hi,
I really dislike the nexus 4 stock gallery app. It's grey background etc looks really boring. Is there a better gallery app? Maybe from note 2 or galaxy s3? The stock gallery is not really changeable..

Best gallery app ever is still Quick Pic imho. It's nothing fancy like 3d but it's super fast and easy to use for cutting or resizing pics.
Try the Sony album posted back on the gnex forum. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1820232 Pinch effect is neat to play with and show off.
There is a newer version posted towards the end of the thread. Works great on 4.2.1 except for sharing (fc).
IMO QuickPic is pretty nice. You should check it out
Hey guys kinda getting tired of my apps I was wondering if you guys could tell me what apps you use are are good to use THANKS FOREVER YOUR FEED FEED BACKFLIP!
