ps. Seems M919 works perfect for ATT networks as well...
Can anyone confirm about this?
and is T-mobile come with a unlocked bootloader?
If this is true... T-mobile would definitely have more sells (maybe just for the phone...:fingers-crossed

I found this information at Samsung USA website, but I think the Canadian variant (M919V) will be the same. The M919 for T-Mobile has those frequencies:
LTE: Bands 700 / 850 / AWS 1700 / 1900 / 2100 / 2600 ; HSPA+/UMTS: 850 / AWS 1700 / 1900 / 2100MHz; GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
The T-Mobile phone will work no problem. I've posted the numbers elsewhere and they all match up.
However, Koodo is selling it for $625 outright and the other companies for $700, so the T-Mobile one is not any cheaper. All Canadian versions have an unlocked bootloader.

i live in the States and currently have T-Mobile ... and i was wondering if i get a Canadian GSM Nexus.. http://www.rogers.com/web/link/wirelessBuyFlow?forwardTo=PhoneThenPlan&productType=normal&productId_Detailed=NEXUSGBLK&N=52+11
... could i unlock it and run it on T-Mo HSPA/HSPA+?
The Rogers Nexus Frequency Band:
GSM Bands:850/900/1800/1900
HSPA+/HSPA Bands:850/1900/2100
T-Mo Frequency Band:
850 MH: GSM/GPRS/EDGE
1900 MH: GSM/GPRS/EDGE
1700 MHz: UMTS/HSPA/HSPA+
1900 MHz: UMTS/HSPA/HSPA+
You don't even have to unlock it as they are already unlocked. It will work just fine on T-mobile.
The Galaxy Nexus is pentaband: HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100
All GSM Nexus are pentaband and will work on TMo US.

No fancy work. Just buy and put the SIM in.
But you'll be spending more buying it in Canada (or from Canada) for use in the states. Buy from one of the importers and you'll undoubtedly save money.

Slightly off-topic, but this above is wrong.
Rogers uses 850/1900 for both GSM and HSPA.
T-Mobile uses 1900 for GSM and AWS for HSPA.
All GSM/HSPA Galaxy Nexus have a 850/900/1800/1900 GSM radio and a 850/900/AWS/1900/2100 HSPA radio.

Hi developers,
I am a new member here, so please forgive me if I am asking dumb questions...
I recently read on the US Samsung website about the T-mobile version GS4 that it has 6 LTE bands on it: 1/2/4/5/7/17, which correspond to 2100 1900 1700 850 2600 700MHz respectively. Since T-mobile website did not specify what bands their GS4 will have, I assume it will be the same as the T-mobile version GS4 on the Samsung website.
Samsung website:
LTE: Bands 1/2/4/5/7/17;
HSPA+/UMTS: 850/1900/2100MHz;
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
T-mobile:
UMTS: Band I (2100);
UMTS/HSPA+: AWS Band IV / 2100 / 1900 / 850;Band II (1900);
Quad Band GSM;
LTE (????)
My questions are:
1. Since AT&T uses LTE bands 1/4/7/17, which are also covered in the Tmobile GS4. Technically, does that mean I can use Tmobile GS4 on AT&T WITH LTE network?
2. I will be traveling to Asia and the country I am going uses 2600MHz (Band 7) as its LTE band, does that also mean I can use LTE on their network too?
Thank you so much again honored developers!
Just got to Hong Kong and bought a prepaid sim for my sprint m8. Data and voice is working, but data only seems to be GSM, and not 3g or 4g. Any advice? Thanks.
Find out what carrier you are using with that prepaid sim.
Then see what frequency bands and protocols are used,
then match that up with your phone.
If i had to guess i would say your missing the right frequency bands or you have the right band but not matching up with the right protocol.
i would use GSMarena.com http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_one_(m8)_cdma-6233.php to get the phones band info. Since you know its a Sprint M8 that will tell you what you need to know.
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - Sprint, Verizon
CDMA 800 / 1900 - Sprint, Verizon
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 - for Sprint
HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 - for Verizon
CDMA2000 1xEV-DO - for Sprint, Verizon
4G Network LTE 800 / 1900 / 2600 - Sprint
LTE 700 / 1700 / 1800 / 2100 / 2300 / 2600 - Verizon
I got the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra D5303 from amazon and I am in the US using tmobile. I only get edge or 2g? Is there anyway around this? Thanks for any help

Sorry, but no. The radio in the D5303 does not support the bands used by T-Mobile for 3G. You need the D5306 to get full 3G and 4G coverage in the USA for both carriers. However, you should be able to get 3G from AT&T (or an AT&T-based MVNO) on the D5303.
- Bands used by the carriers -
3G on AT&T: 850 up/down, 1900 up/down
3G on T-Mo: 1700 up, 2100 down
4G on AT&T: Bands 2, 4, 5, 17,
4G on T-Mo: Band 4
- Bands supported by the Sony T2 Ultra -
D5303: 3G - 850, 900, 2100; 4G - Bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20
D5306: 3G - 850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100; 4G - Bands 2, 4, 7, 17
For AT&T, as long as your phone has one of the bands, you should be good, as each band is upload/download. For T-Mobile, however, your phone needs both bands (one for upload and one for download).
Thanks so much for your help. would this work on tmobile?
2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900, 3G: HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 1700, 4G: HSPA+ HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 1700
Hi...I'm a complete novice to all this, so this may be a silly question.
Can I simply buy a spare radio (either from a D5306 or another compatible device) and swap them out?
Thanks!
Possibly. TMobile is 'refarming' their network to support 3G/4G (HSPA+) over 1900. IF you live in an area that has not been 'refarmed' then you will need radios for AWS which are 1700/2100.

I'm looking to buy a HTC One M8 T-Mobile version, and unlocking it.
I read on gsmarena.com that the frequencies that work on that phone are these.
GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
HSDPA 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 - T-Mobile
LTE band 4(1700/2100), 17(700) - T-Mobile
Now the frequencies in my country are
HSDPA 850 / 900/ 2100
LTE band 4 1800
If I unlock the phone will it be open from my LTE frequency in my country, and the 900Mhz 3g in my country,
or are the phones made for T-Mobile only work with those frequencies no matter if you unlock it or not.
Thanks in advance for all answers!

Unlocking it will not add or remove any of the phones frequency or protocol items.
Unlocking merely allows the device to use another sim card from a carrier that it was not branded for.
So if its a TMO branded unit and you unlock it you get all the features that TMO asked HTC to make the unit for them for, but you can use it with your carrier.
