Whenever I try to load mailonline.co.uk on the 8S Internet Explorer crashes.
Does anyone else have any problems?

It is set to launch desktop version but it still isn't working. They don't even have a mobile site to view and no chance of an app unfortunately.

Hello, I've got CM7 RC2 on my G2, and i've recently found that the stock browser will not work under EDGE network, only (My carrier is movistar Venezuela).
Any ideas why this might be? Don't know if it's a setting or APN, because Firefox Mobile does work under Edge or Wifi.
Help!
No one...?

I just forced 2g on my G2 (CM7RC2) and the standard browser works for me. Went to yahoo, google and cnn with no issues

Where did you applied that setting? Went to browser settings and didn't find anything there. Or is it through a command in terminal?? Because if I go to mobile network settings I check "only 2g networks" and nothing, if I go to firefox, it cool there.

Does it really matter about browser..
Android stock browser = internet explorer 6 in terms of popularity
Dolphin Browser HD = Firefox in terms of EPIC
Who honestly cares about stock.

Still no one has given a better answer than using another browser.
My question is why stock wont work on edge and firefox does? Besides, firefox doesnt play flash content very well.
Like I posted, it works for me. When I have issues, I make a new backup (I keep like 3 different ones on my phone and many older ones on my computer) and reflash the ROm. See if that fixes your issue.

Why does my phone think it's being tethered? My Arc S is rooted on .42 Gingerbread firmware, stock UK ROM, deleted a few files/apps, and those are about the only changes I've made.
But recently when I use the 3G on my phone (not wireless, but data) after a while it diverts to my service carrier's page about tethering and how it is not allowed on my plan (which is true).
I phoned up my carrier thinking it must be a problem on their end, the guy told me it to try my simcard in another phone and see if the same thing happens- It didn't, I was able to browse with no problems at all. Put the sim back into my Arc S, and after about 30 seconds of browsing I get diverted again. He told me it may be a problem with my phone and I should factory reset.
Obviously I don't want to do that as I will lose root plus ROM plus all my customisation (Supercharger, Go Launcher etc) so what could be causing the problem? I've been using it fine for a long time and then this happens....
Bump?
Have you check your user agent in yout phone navigator? It should be android and not desktop

If it was a problem with the firmware wouldnt the problem have appeared straight away, rather than after a few weeks?
My tethering seems to have stopped working. I'm running Juggernaut 5.0 and I received these texts when I enabled hot spot.
Free T-Mobile Msg: To prevent future Smartphone Mobile HotSpot (Tethering) access from being blocked, add Smartphone Mobile HotSpot service here.
http://offers.t-mobile.com/tethering/upsell.do?source=50SMS
Free T-Mobile Msg: Smartphone Mobile HotSpot (Tethering) access has been blocked. Please add Smartphone Mobile HotSpot service available here.
http://offers.t-mobile.com/tethering/upsell.do?source=100SMS
When I connect to my hot spot on my laptop and open a browser, it redirects me to a Tmobile page to sign up for hot spot.
I tried to use titanium backup to freeze tethering manager but it's not listed. Any ideas?
Thanks in advanced!

Nope none here besides freeze... You running stock? Could always try another ROM maybe..
Try a different browser. Does juggs run chrome? That was being discussed earlier in the day.
The person went with opera

Yep, it was a browser issue. I found the thread you were referring to:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678858
I used Internet Explorer and it worked. They must have started monitoring Chrome recently.
Thanks!
Confirming...
I was receiving redirect page on my laptop when tethering with my GS2... I installed the user agent spoofer as mentioned above... and changed it to FF10 and browser works just fine
Thank you to those that discovered this workaround
I've noticed these days that my gmail app dont sync everything I do in it. This is happening only when I do something on my mobile (archiving, deleting or putting in spam folder). If I do the same on my laptop or desktop PC all works fine and immediately is shown on my HOX. This is the issue no matter if I'm connected on my home WiFi or GSM network. I'm using ARHD v19.2 rom and being using it from v13.0 all the time. Any solution?

This as happened to me from time to time. Clear data for the app and it will sync fully again.

Though I have not tried it, when I connect the USB cable I go to Mobile Network Sharing and I see the option for internet passthrough.

Is it possible to re-enable this option?
If it is disabled by your carrier then a custom ROM should give you the option back
