Sorry for the noob question, i tried to find anything about my problem on xda but i find noting. I use 2.51 official rom and after a call there is a black box with the call duration displayed for at least 10 seconds. It is a little better after reset but not gone, and after a couple minutes everything is the same. Does anyone has the same problem? What should i do? I rooted the phone overclocked but the problem is still present. It is a bug in the Caller app? Thank you for your answers in advance!
Same annoying thing here, solved installing "on call end" from the market.

Have heard this complaint before. I am on US T-Mo branded phone and when my call is done I don't seem to get a call summary at all.
I found that if I clear the data for the Dialler in applications i get no more lags, so if anyone else gets the same problem try that.

I tried that but it did not work, what firmware are you on?
On call end did not helped me either... but deleting data for Dialler helped. Goto settings l->applications then filter all and look for the dialler and delete data. Please tell me if it is worked or not

Uninstalled oncallend, rebooted, cleared dialler data: now the call summary appears just for a second.
So both solutions work for me.

Apparently this happens because the phone tries to establish a data connection. So if you want to avoid this, disable data connection before a call.
Hey everyone!
I have, what i hope to be, an easily solvable issue.
I am studying abroad and my school gave me a free nokia crap phone which is great for making phone calls. I also happened to bring with me my G2 (unlocked) and have a seperate plan with just data, I just carry these two phones around and the system has pretty much worked fine for me.
However, I realized today that I coud forward the incoming calls from my crap phone to my G2. I like this because since I have a nice phone I kinda wanna use it! I only have one issue, outgoing calls. If I could set up outgoing call forwarding to my crap phone, I could just leave it in my room and just carry around the G2.
TLDR, is it possible to make calls through the G2 and have it routed through my other phone number?

Are you rooted? If you are and your running on CM Roms there's an option for call forwarding, i never checked on stock and different roms so don't ask me
Fly like a G2
Not possible. Take a look at GOOGLE VOICE, may be able to help.
Yeah, definitely sounds like a Google Voice thing, and a fun problem to solve really.
Gvoice won't work because it only works with american numbers but I'm in israel.

doesn't the nokia have a sim? take the sim out and put it in your g2!
Problem is that I use a data sim in my G2...switching the 2 sims constantly would be more annoying than carrying two phones.

I am having the same problem, I am looking to forward outgoing calls to my nice phone.
Did you figure a way to do it?
- Either by programmatically create conference calls?
- Or by having the calls forwarded?
Thanks, Jonathan
Hi all,
is there really no way to use the A101 as a phone? (with the SIM! - not Skype etc)
I'm wondering why other tablets (Odys, Galaxy Tab) are able to do so
You could use text+ from the market.I tried it before and worked pretty good to turn this to a phone tablet.but wwsnt sure how I would eventually need to start spending money.but tot turn it into a phone, try that app.

don't know if you understand me
I need to make and take calls with the tablet - SMS and UMTS is working, but there's no way to make or take calls
I wasn't able to find a app called text+ / plus in the market
No. The A501/A101 doesn't have the hardware for making calls.

He said quite clearly in the OP, not like Skype. He means like an actual phone.

No
The closest you can get that I am aware of would be to use either Skype, or Google Voice GrooveIP combo which could be used over the access provided by the SIM and associated provider, however it would still be VOIP and not the type of phone you speak of, BUT it would allow you to send and receive normal phone calls from/to real phones/mobile phones. SO I don't see any reason to care. GrooveIP is like $6 and then the google voice number is free. don't knock it lol
I used text+.
It worked as a phone.
I understood, don't know if its still on the market, but it works as a phone for your tablet.its not like Skype.
It makes your tablet a phone, and it gives you a real phone number.
Understood!

Hi everybody. Hope someone can help me out here. I have a note 2 LTE and my whatsapp messages are taking quite awhile to reach me and this only happens if I leave the phone in standby for about 15mins without doing anything. After that, it can take up to 30mins before the whatsapp notification alert goes off. But if I manually open whatsapp, the whole load of messages will be received all at once. Network signal and data are strong and I am not moving. So I suspect it has something to do with the phone data settings because my HTC one x do not have this problem at all. Anybody can help me? Thanks in advance!
Are you running any sort of battery saver?

have gotten the same problem before.
maybe you are using some apps like task killer ?
Hi. Thanks for all the replies. Nope, I am not running any task killer or battery saver. How did you guys resolve this?
Some kind of firewall or data management issue. Classic answer but i think it will solve your problem: just factory reset..

Does this happen with any other application such as email, Skype, chat on? If it's only related to whatsapp then just try to clear it's data, uninstall and download it again.

I have the same issue. But only while on 3G. When on WiFi, messages are near instant. Still no solutions :crying:
Im having this issue too with my two days old Nexus 4 and had it with my Galaxy S. Maybe its whatsapp server's fault.

I think in my case it has something to do with the network. I've tried on a different network and its fine. Time to change network I guess guess

I did some searching and found that people from verizon and att also having this issue but there was no solution. Thought I would post this here to see if anyone else is having this issue and if there is a fix. Never had this issue on M7.

I have even tried stock messaging app as well, same issue, if my wifi is on and try to send/receive mms the 4g/lte icon comes on but just sits there trying to download, if i turn wifi completely off it comes right through
that is weird..I assume you have rebooted the phone a few times..
maybe time to call tech support, and see if your phone is defective?

rebooted several times, will call tech support but i have seen others with this same issue
I wasn't able to receive MMS while on wifi with hangouts or hoverchat unless I opened the stock messaging app. I messed with wifi and mobile priorities and APN setting and no luck so I'm using the stock app for now.
If you're using WiFi calling you can't send and receive MMS unless it's the stock app.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I actually called T-Mobile tech support and they walked me through deleting all my SMS messages in the hangouts app and then making the native app the default messaging app again. Then they wanted me to send a test MMS message to myself (using the native messaging app) and it worked. So i went back to using hangouts again and it worked for a day, and now it stopped working again. sounds like a bug in the HTC software to me.
I've always had this issue. You can help it out a bit by going into the wifi settings and setting it to be able to auto switch from wifi back to your 4G connection. Still doesn't always work. I don't send MMS often though so its not a big deal to me. Its the only thing that doesn't work for me. It does the same thing for me in the normal messaging app too. I turn wifi off and it goes though just fine. My M8 is only a few days old but most of my issues came from that same issue on my Note 3.
I can't send mms with hangouts on wifi either.
Is there a way to report this issue to HTC?

How did I never see this when I had the Note 3. It was soooooooooooo annoying. I always disabled my wifi and get it then go back to wifi. I just tested this and it works. I don't do very many MMS messages but when I get one I know it'll download correctly.

i was having the same issue ill give this a try thanks.
I'm going to have to retract my previous statement where I said it works. Yes, it does work but you have to disable wifi calling for it to work. I guess I'll have to deal with disabling wifi when I send/receieve MMS because wifi calling is a must for me.
I'd like to see TMobile fix this to work with wifi calling enabled too.
