[Q] Display wakes while bluetooth-connected to car - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

When I connect to my car via bluetooth and make a call, the display wakes up and I would prefer it stayed dark. My car gives me all I need WRT the status of the call and other phone-related controls and info.
I don't seem to be able to find a way to disable this. Anyone?
TIA!

display wakes up by using bluetooth

Hello,
i didn't find anything useful to this topic:
when i get into my car, the radio connects to my BA via bluetooth to be connected and to get calls on the radio.
while connecting, my BA wakes up and displays all with full light! normally it's inside my trousers and i will not look at the display! i will not see the display and it should sleep furthermore
Is there a way to disable this function in registry or with a program?!

Bluetooth Issue In Car

I have the Samsung Car dock, and I have my phone paired to my stereo (Sony DSX-S300BTX [aka. alphabet soup]) with an external mic which I have mounted up by my visor. I can use vlingo once every time I'm in the car, and after that it goes haywire trying to listen all the time. Is there a way to turn down the sensitivity from the phone, or do I have to do it in the stereo somehow? I have a relatively loud car (Mustang GT) but the exhaust is stock, so I don't think it's that loud. I just want to be able to use the voice recognition reliably.
When you trigger the speech recognition, make sure you leave about half a second of silence before you actually speak. I think it uses that "silence" part to actually build a baseline. That helped quite a bit for me.
Under the Voice talk Settings, Motion, turn off Motion Activation. Most vehicles shake and vibrate too much for that to work right anyway.
Did any of these work? I have the car holder (no bluetooth or audio in/out) and I want to use the phone as my navigation with voice commands. Problem is, unless the car is at a complete standstill, voice talk will hear "Hello Galaxy" but then it won't hear anything after that. The red bars in the microphone icon are going off the charts indicating its picking up too much background noise. I usually use it in a rental car and I've tried all kinds of cars, all of them fairly quiet sedans. I've also tried it in my friend's Mercedes and same problem. Is there a work around? I've never had the motion control turned on. Thanks.

Official car dock problem.

Hi everyone,
I have an official htc car dock for my htc one x. The problem I'm having is that, when I insert or remove the phone from the dock, the phone will play the ringtone for a few seconds and also turn the screen on. This isn't a huge problem but it can be annoying having to turn the screen off ever time I use the dock. As I drive in my job, I have to insert/remove the phone around 10 times a day, so this little issue is getting annoying.
My question: is there a way to stop my phone both playing the ringtone and turning the screen on every time I use the dock?
I've hunted through the settings but there isn't a setting to stop this from happening.
I've rooted my one x and uninstalled bloatware, but other than that its stock o2 - uk. Software version 2.17.206.2
ok... so what happens if you manually launch the car app? Does it make this noise on car app launch or bt connect? Try triggering all automatic docking functions manually and find the culprit.
I get a beep on bt connect. Maybe that alert noise has been reconfigured in your sound profile somewhere?
I find mine's better behaved using automateit to kick off bt, dock app, volume settings and what have on dock state triggers. This way I have better control and with delays I can remove the phone from the dock without bt disconnecting for a bit. Obviously you need to configure unlock triggers too.
Worst case with automateit would be to temporarily turn down volume on docking maybe.
This has got to be fixable!

[Q] Unable to answer phone via bluetooth controls in my vehicle

I've noticed that in my truck, I am unable to answer my phone using the button on my steering wheel when my Moto 360 is connected to the phone. I can use the controls to make phone calls but unless I dismiss the notification on the watch, I can't answer calls. Is there some setting I need to enable to fix this? So far the only way I can answer is to mute the phone or turn off the watch's Bluetooth connection - neither is idea.
If I have to mute, has anyone found a tasker plug-in that will allow me to automate this? I haven't had much luck find a tasker plug in that will allow me to mute/unmute the phone programmatically. Quite a few of the plug-ins seem to allow me to use the phone to control some function on the phone via the watch, not control the watch via the phone.

Automatic switching between watch bluetooth and car bluetooth?

Does anyone know a way to tell the phone to connect to the car bluetooth for calls rather than the watch when I get in the car? Then also switch back to watch bluetooth calls when I leave the car?
thanks
Does the car connect to the phone at all when you get in, or does being connected to the watch block this?
I'm wondering if you place the call/answer the call with the car's menu system/steering wheel controls what happens, or if you are unable to even get this far.
Same problem
I'm having the exact same problem.
Carkit does connect (you can see in settings) but it says "(no phone calls)".
Watch is alsoo connected and says "(phone calls)
When i use voice control or the buttons on the dash to start a call it says no phone connected.
So my phone says that it is connected to carkit (no phone calls notification however), but if i look in settings from carkit it does'nt show phone connected...
The phone doesn't even connect to the car - I have to go into bluetooth settings on the phone and manually swap between the two when I get in and out of the car. I only connect to the cars on phone, not media audio.
I use the phone in 2 different cars, so ideally want to be able to automatically prioritise which bluetooth it connects to. I know there are apps like tasker which can do this but they are so complicated (or I'm too blonde!).
other thread
Found another thread already covering the subject...
Hope this helps...
