I think you need a goldcard.
Even with gold card would not help. Any advise please.
this is due to your current rom is 1.21.405 and you can't flash any rom which is lower than this
It'll be the HBOOT probably - I assume the 3 ROMs are still on HBOOT 0.75 whereas 1.21.x.x is on 0.80. You could try and roll back the HBOOT to allow you to go back to your stock ROM but I've not tried it before so can't comment further

you could always donate some beers to a dev, ask them to remove the hboot from the rom you want and upload the rom.zip for you, then you can just flash the stock rom rom recovery

Run an RUU. If you had searched existing threads, you would have found it by now instead of posting a new thread.

The ruu will not flash as the bootloader is older that the one you have. Either find a ruu that fits the hboot and cid , or unlock the bootloader factory reset the device and then fast boot flash the boot.IMG and the system.IMG from the ruu. Look for the newer ruu first and then report back before attempting fast boot commands

[Q] ruu wanted 3.14.206.27 for o2 uk

needing this ruu if anyone has it as cant get phone working any other way also tried to change the cid to the 11111 but i noticed that when the file was pulled of the phone it is currupt as has no imei or any lock info.
when i try to flash with the older ruu it picks up the jellybean so i dont think all the data on the phone is lost thanks craig
Sent you a PM
By the way....that ruu is not released/leaked yet
Any update on that RUU? I really need to find a copy.
Thank you

Nope, no ruu
That's very, very annoying.
Any recommendations on how to restore it to stock? I can't use any other RUUs because I get an error 140.
I've tried using CWM nand backups, but they don't want to open. They fail a signature test.
Is there any way to downgrade the firmware so I can use an older RUU?
Thanks again.
No downgrade is impossible. You can use a stock nandroid backup from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
How to restore it is also in the OP, just give it a good read

Thats u stuck in RUU mode. All u got to do is flash the correct RUU for ur device or flash the 2.3 gb upgrade from htc dev. Are u s-on or s-off?
heres the link for the 2.3 gb upgrade as exe
2.3 gb upgrade
EDIT: why did u make 2 threads??
If you're S-Off and rooted, then install a custom ROM. There is a whole section devoted to that. BTW, while flashing an RUU, follow all the steps correctly. AND FIND YOUR OWN VERSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[Q] Can't flash the device to stock rom using RUU

Hi,
I'm trying to restore from custom rom to stock rom.
My phone is CID ORANG216 and I'm using xx.xx.65.xx RUU releases.
I have 2 relevant files:
The RUU exe - RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_S_Orange_CH-Generic_2.17.65.2_Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_275590_signed.exe
OTA UPDATE for the device - OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_Orange_CH-Generic_3.16.65.2-2.17.65.2_release_296426gf2xgpisn8xs0fti
After flashing the stock recovery, boot_signed.img, rebootRUU, the RUU update fails because of version failure, I suspect that the HBOOT version is the trouble maker.
My phone is unlocked with S-ON with HBOOT 1.36 and the HBOOT in the RUU is 1.12 .
Due to S-ON I cant change the hboot.
I can't seem to find a workaround for it and install the RUU.
Any ideas??
I even thought about compiling the latest JB release from htcdev development center and flash it...

You need to relock the bootloader to use install RUU . It has nothing to do with hboot . Just take note that you have to use the RUU that is on the same build or higher .

doesn't work... I'm getting "Error [140]: BOOTLOADER VERSION ERROR"
The only RUU exe available is the one i mentioned and its old
I don't know how to use the OTA file without the original stock rom already installed...
if it helps anything the command "fastboot getvar version-main" on my device gives:
version-main: 3.16.65.2

Like I mentioned . You have to look for the version that's the same with yours or higher to use the RUU . I guess you can't go back to stock until you find the RUU of your version or higher . Maybe you could try a stock ROM nand backup ?
Here are stock backups

Thanks for the help
my version or CID is not there, any other resource for nands?
Just lock your bootloader using fastboot oem lock and run this RUU with admin privileges..

I don't think your questions relate to the subject here.
Anyway, custom roms are based on the stock rom and most of the times include a file called firmware.zip, look it up in the costum_rom.zip file.
hboot updates are tricky on this device and for upgrading it (from ICS to JB supported hboot) you need a special firmware built for your specific htc one x model (look at the manuals for more instructions).
For the battery saving, I think it depends on the rom you install and not the kernel (or maybe both because they come together?), check out for old posts about that issue, I'm sure its not the first time someone asks about it.
hope it helps
