I finally got rid of tw and flashed jellybam. The only thing bothering me in the battery life. It's worse than what i had in my s3. I tried using soap and dagr8s kernel. But no luck. Battery falls 10% for less than half hour on screen time with medium use of texting and browsing. What is a good kernel and what are your recommended settings with it , like governor and stuff.
Thanks in advance

There must be some fix. So many note 2 cm users out there talking about great battery

I know, but it's jelly bam even supported for our phones anymore? I'm using beanstalk, which is cm based, and I'm getting around 5 hours screen on time.

Google jellybam. They support almost all phones. OK so with cm or aokp or PA. Which kernel is better for battery life
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
Well right now misusing the kernel that comes with beanstalk and I'm getting great battery life. I'm just saying that support for jelly bam in this forum isn't there anymore. That is why I wouldn't use that Rom. There is no thread on here anymore for it. The roms in the original development all get around the same battery life and are all aosp

Yea, sorry that's what I meant. I am loving beanstalk and highly recommend it. I used to flash a new Rom every couple of days and I have been on this almost 2 weeks, which is like a record for me. And like right now I'm at 89percent with 58 min screen on time.

Whats your definition of moderate? Screen brightness? Apps? Cpu intensive apps? Screen on time? Talk time? Stanby? wifi or data? Good signal bad signal?

It' all really personal preferences. I've flashed all the roms and each roms have there own special features. Your best bet is to flash and see. Happy flashing
I flash a few this week and the best I've used is Infamous Resurrection really fast and stable and isnt theme all blingy.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
Try every other rom if you're looking for a good combination of battery life, speed, or whatever else you may want from your phone. But, in terms of stability and stability alone, I'd most likely suggest any TW 4.03 roms in the android development forums (notably Darkside.evolution v8 if you can find a link). All of which are known to be incredibly stable
I've tried quite a few now, Honestly I like the basic vanilla roms... Ran CM9 for a few months and now Im running AOKP 6. Found them both extremely stable and simple. Prefer AOKP to be honest
I am willing to pay $20 (in funny canadian money) to whoever can port this lockscreen here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1920609 to Task's AOKP as a flashable zip.
I have tried getting it to work for the past week, no luck so far.

I have to admit that I haven't had any hood experience with battery life with AOSP ROMs. But I've been using Avatar ROM with greenify and clean master app and I've noticed a huge improvement, esp since Avatar's most recent update.

TW seems to last longer but I cant sacrifice the speed of an AOSP for the current TW ROMs running 4.1.2.
Any AOSP ROM still gives me more than enough for like 4+ hrs of screen. I usually charge at night with like ~30% left.
I'm on a 4.3 ROM and I've never had a problem with battery life, as the other person said I'd rather have the latest features and speed over a longer battery life. Thats what I have the zerolemon 9300MaH battery for.
My experience exactly the opposite: main reason I switched to AOSP (CM 10.2) is because better battery life. Plus it's 4.3
