Whats your definition of moderate? Screen brightness? Apps? Cpu intensive apps? Screen on time? Talk time? Stanby? wifi or data? Good signal bad signal?

I just got the tmobile s2.. and my battery sucks. I rooted and isntalled Liquid Smooth but battery is still pretty bad. Whats a good combo to try!?
I also used the Juggernaut and Darkside combo when I first got my phone but that was ages ago. Just before getting rid of my S2 I was using Jedi Mind Trick X3 and the kernel that's baked into it. It was loaded with features, smooth and had excellent battery life.
Aokp m1 or Cm10 with KKO kernel is my favorite for batt/speed . That's just me tho .

I am hearing a lot about cpu adjustment, over clocking and script stuff for some extended battery life. I searched a lot but couldnt find any nice guide on this. I am running Juggernaut 5.0 with darkside mainline karnel . I am getting 8 hours of battery life. Want some more; since i am heavy user

try beast mod, its awesome for battery life.
I'm running Slickmod 2.4 with Gideon's UV script (no setcpu or anything involved) and I'm PRETTY sure I'm getting better battery life than I ever did on Juggs 5.0, maybe try that?
Undervolting/underclocking is what you need to maximize battery life. With that said, I get 20+ hours running Warfare rom/kernel.

I tried synergy kernel with juggs latest and the animations get pretty jittery along with constant homescreen roughness while scrolling. It's not slow, but not smooth. Was wondering what the best ROM/kernel combo is that's buttery smooth with the best battery life.
I'm using adw ex if that makes a difference? Tried with touchwiz and was the same.

It' all really personal preferences. I've flashed all the roms and each roms have there own special features. Your best bet is to flash and see. Happy flashing
I flash a few this week and the best I've used is Infamous Resurrection really fast and stable and isnt theme all blingy.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
Try every other rom if you're looking for a good combination of battery life, speed, or whatever else you may want from your phone. But, in terms of stability and stability alone, I'd most likely suggest any TW 4.03 roms in the android development forums (notably Darkside.evolution v8 if you can find a link). All of which are known to be incredibly stable
I've tried quite a few now, Honestly I like the basic vanilla roms... Ran CM9 for a few months and now Im running AOKP 6. Found them both extremely stable and simple. Prefer AOKP to be honest
I finally got rid of tw and flashed jellybam. The only thing bothering me in the battery life. It's worse than what i had in my s3. I tried using soap and dagr8s kernel. But no luck. Battery falls 10% for less than half hour on screen time with medium use of texting and browsing. What is a good kernel and what are your recommended settings with it , like governor and stuff.
Thanks in advance

Yeah that's why I don't like the term stock, it's too vague.

I have got be honest. I like every rom I have tried. 3 by ktempleton. Chameleon Os is very nice. My favorite in terms of ui. Gorgeous. But that was also the problem. Ui crashed a lot. Hopefully it gets stable. Dirty unicorns was great but the ui started crashing repeatedly.
Using liquid smooth now. It's very nice. What it has on the other 2 is that it's running stable. I think I would be on Chameleon though if it were stable.
PACman. Even better now with the make it dark toggle and toggleable slim gapps...no more looking for an inverted play store only to have it auto update and go back to white.
Running great with lightning zap kernel and modded comadose tweaks. I did have to push the zap tweaks back top init.d again tho

I really like stock rooted GB27 but battery life is iffy. BUT i really really like Cyanogenmod 10.1 Wild for the Night but battery life sux
Battery life is up to the user, if your battery life isn't good you might wanna look into what apps are keeping your phone awake. DS Battery Saver, Greenify, and other apps can also help you get better battery life.

Thanks, it's my first TouchWiz ROM... I love it so much I haven't been working on anything else lol, which is really rare for me.

Yeah. What is it? Why do I want it? What's it good for? Also, the ROM is near perfect save for Bluetooth, but the dev forum is aware and I hope they're on the problem. I don't use bluetooth much anyway, but when I do, it's handy.
