Is it just me that gets this? I hold the power on button, thereafter it vibrates and it takes about 5 seconds I think until it displays anything on screen. Is this normal?

Also, sometimes the screen goes dimmer and brighter by itself, why?

It does the same thing for me... Never really though anything of it. The screen diming might be due to auto screen brightness option, which is fixed in 2.3.4. There is also a disbale auto brightness app for sale in the market if you dont wanna do the firmware update. It drove me nuts waiting for 2.3.4...

This is a stock setting from Sony Ericsson to save power. This may be removed, after root, with a 3rd party app.

Anyone else get a very slightly leggy screen?
Thanks

My screen lags when R button and Volume up are held then i press the screen (buzzes once), for 5-10 seconds, my phone freezes then it buzzes twice and is back to normal
My phone also outputs a bugreport txt each and every time this occurs, here's the most recent one (stupid mediafire wont let me upload it unzipped)
Never mind, figured out that it's simply a shortcut to create the file

Mine does this too, i was never too concerned with it, i just assumed, with the larger capacity, it just too longer to load up. It only takes a few seconds, not bad in my opinion.

This was already answered, but just to reemphasize, it can be disabled in your settings menu, however doing so, will leave the screen constantly at whatever level you choose, so expect some additional battery drain.
anyone else's phone slow in doing any thing internet based? My internet is quite slow when not connected to wifi as is market, it is even slower than my old San Francisco. Anyone know why this could be? I have full bars of connection and would like an explanation, thanks!

Hi all just a quick little tip, i find if i have force gpu rendering enabled, the xda app wont display pictures. Today i found if i flip the phone to landscape and back again, the pictures will display.
Its not much but thought i would share.

Thanks man, I was getting quite bugged by that issue. I confirm turning off 'force GPU rendering' causes pictures to display fine in both orientations. With GPU rendering on, pictures didn't show up in portrait and showed when I changed the screen to landscape, but only a moment and then disappeared again. Turning it back to portrait too caused them to show momentarily and disappear again.

annoying as hell its the app in tablet mode... pretty often when you tap to pop up options the screen goes black and you have to press the power twice to go back to normal

Anyone having this problem or know a fix? It happens below 10% of the time I press it, but i've noticed sometimes when I press back it registers as 2 taps. Became very noticable when I assigned a sounds to screen taps. It's problematic because at times it's exiting me from apps.

Im on a modified touchwiz and when I go to take pics when battery is low, it stops me. Same with music, gallery, etc..
Same with the brightness, it drops brightness all the way down to where I cant c the screen. I know this is normal on these phones. But does anyone have a mod to stop this? Or know where I can get one? Thanks

Yeah, I have had the same issue. Sometimes after a long period of time, my tablet just shuts off, or goes into such deep sleep there is no awakening it. I have to hold the power button for 3-4 seconds to get it to boot back up. It's totally random, and I've asked the question as well, but have received no answer. Maybe it's just us. I don't know. I'll update you if I ever receive an answer.
Yeah as of late the newer night lies have had noticeably laggier wake up. The problem isn't as bad if you are using a smart cover to wake up.
