So since ARHD got the PureAudio mod from ZeroInfinity, I'm wondering if there will any problems if I flash the NEW PureAudioRemixed mod. Do I need to mind something before flashing the new mod?
And what do I need to choose at the lyapota Aroma installer if I want to install the new mod?
Thanks in advance

For the most custom ROMs you have to repack the kernel. However, on ViperX ROM there's no need to repack, just flash the boot.img for the kernel and install the modules in CWM.

Sweet so no repacks needed for viperx Rom just install the original custom kernels then? i.e faux123 kernal

Sorry another noob Question based off of this, but how do you know if a Rom needs a repacked kernal or not?

Yuo, no need for repack. Just download the ones from the official faux thread and you're ready to go!

If there are any ramdisk tweaks you need a repack. It's usually also stated in the OP if you need repack.

fix miui v4 video problems
here are ics kernels included in viper rom (chinese ota kernel) and tazz's rom (leak kernel) to be used in other sense ics roms.
I actually made these to work with miui v4 as those have garbled video.
Any other rom which needs kernel updated can use this without any problems.
All credits should go to nitsuj17, tazzpirate and microdroid. All I did was extract kernel and hardware drivers from their roms and make a kernel update pakage.
flashing these kernels will fix garbled video problem in miui. both f these have working wifi and data. tested. these will not wipe data but make a backup just in case.
there's no point of flashing these kernels for a viper user. but tazz user may flash viper kernel to fix occasional wifi drop issue
flash only one.!! either tazz's one or viper one
thanks. :good:
new version added. people having problems can try flashing that
Any one still having problems with these kernels just flash this boot.img from 4ext recovery after flashing the kernel zip fie.

I'm familiar with Viper's kernel since I've used viper rom but how does it differ from the one Tazz used? Is it just the Viper one having the wifi fix or is there more? Better yet is there even a reason to use Tazz's over Viper's?
I flashed the viper kernel over Miui and it gets stuck at the white HTC screen. Anyone else?

I think only viper kernel has fixed WiFi drop issue. Tazz kernel hasn't fixed it. And tazz kernel has some graphic driver issues so some items doesn't render properly in some games.

Had someone been tried any of these kernel on ArcticICSed for the HTC Droid Incredible 2 ROM, Please let me know!!
thanks! :fingers-crossed:
I tried viper kernel on tazz rom and it worked. So I think these kernels will work on any Rom as long as its a vivow, sense based ics rom.

Using this on MIUI, good work. Now all I need is to stop the radio from disconnecting for a few seconds when WIFI connects and I will be 100% content, until I get the itch to flash again, that is. Thanks again

is it necessary to repack it? or just flash the boot.img inside the module?

Most sense ROMs don't need repacking anymore because it uses OrDroid ramdisk but... Why don't you try without repacking first? And if it bootloops then repack
thanks, but how can i repack it? i tried to repack before and its bootloop
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
I found that if you want to install sense 5 icons, you are best repacking, if you dont all the icons change apart from the messages icon (don't know why).
If your not bothered about sense 5 icons, no repack is needed.
That's my personal experience anyway
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
oh i forgot that my kernel now is xm 226 repacked for arhd 19.xx and using lyapota modpack with sense 5 icon, so did i need to repack again? and if needed, how to do it?
i mean need i flash the boot.img again? bcuz i dont have computer in my school

Hello everyone
The question is simple
Is it possible to install viper tweeks or any other tweeks on stock 4.2.2 rom
Please reply
Thanx
Regards
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
probably not because you need venom kernel to support those tweaks.Anyway not safe at all
Use xposed, but no certainly not on stock non rooted rom.
Don't make threads every hour please. Just ask it all in one....

custom kernel without any bugs

Try them, all sense 5 kernels work test them and decide. We can't pick one for you. Install manual .... you find that in almost every custom kernel thread, read the opening posts carefully and follow instructions !
okey, i was thinking that only dragon kernel works!?

Flash the boot.img from the kernel zip via fastboot and install the zip in the recovery. That's all...
