custom kernel without any bugs

Try them, all sense 5 kernels work test them and decide. We can't pick one for you. Install manual .... you find that in almost every custom kernel thread, read the opening posts carefully and follow instructions !
okey, i was thinking that only dragon kernel works!?

Flash the boot.img from the kernel zip via fastboot and install the zip in the recovery. That's all...

For the most custom ROMs you have to repack the kernel. However, on ViperX ROM there's no need to repack, just flash the boot.img for the kernel and install the modules in CWM.

Sweet so no repacks needed for viperx Rom just install the original custom kernels then? i.e faux123 kernal

Yuo, no need for repack. Just download the ones from the official faux thread and you're ready to go!

If there are any ramdisk tweaks you need a repack. It's usually also stated in the OP if you need repack.

i tried both with viper x 3.3.1 and insertcoin v15.2.0. Every time I try to flash bricked kernel it flashes the kernel and then bootloop. I would really appreciate if someone would give me a zip file of faux kernel. I only find moduls on this site...
Please help I need a kernel.

Currently there are no available custom kernels for the jelly bean base, because htc didnt release the kernel source code yet. All you can use will be the stock htc kernel that is also incorporated inside the rom when you extract it.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
There is the custom-stock kernel made by TripNDroid from Tegra3 references and from HOX+ source.
Just reflash the rom to fix the modules and reflash the original boot.img .....

Yeah , and quit flashing ICS kernel onto JB rom , that can lead into some issues, bigger then you think.
Ok got it. Staying with viper x 3.2.2 and waiting for jb kernels to be created. When is htc giving the source to the devs?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
They should release the code about 90 days after the release.....but nobody knows for sure !
hello,i have a question for the "RENOVATE Final 1"-rom .
after flashing the rom i flashed the repacked "TripNDroid"-Kernel and everything looks and works fine.
i only have the problem that everytime when i make a normal call(without loudspeaker) i have scrathing in the speaker, don´t know the really meaning because i am from germany and not so good in englisch.can i write to someone in german to help me???
i don´t have the problem when i installed another custom-rom on my hox!!!
can anyone help me with this problem???
The problem may be caused by TriNDroid kernel...
There are some in-call audio issues with that kernel

In this moment, only trip's kenrel support underclock because htc doesn't release source code yet.
htc one x+renovate!!!
ok,then i will flash the final1-rom included kernel.
can i do this in fastboot,or will i have to do it in another way?
i ask because i flashed the kernel-modules for the tripndroid-kernel via cwm !!!

i don't get other things but boot.img contains two things 1)ramdisk 2)kernel (zImage)
you need dsxida's kitchen to extract boot.img and use any koush updater method to flash kernel.

You do not have to flash any kernel
Moreover, if you flash stock kernel on this ROM, you'll get a nice bootloop, maybe you'll even softbrick the device
Which recovery are you using ? If it is TWRP >2.2, just go back to an older version and you'll be able to flash everything fine.
Cwm no-touch recovery

Thanks for the info but that 0-100 when flashing rom
.what about that
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
IT is because of an Syntax error in the Rom. You have to flash another Rom until op of the rom fixed the Problem.

Hi, i'm still new about knowing android and installing custom roms. I recently installed ARHD 31.0 on my HOX and it's awesome! thanks mike. After the first boot, i tried to flash bricked 0.21, but it won't boot. I'm guessing it's a wrong move. So the question is there any kernels for this rom? The dirtier the better
I think not at this moment

Try repackaging the kernel.
The only kernel currently working is trips kernel.

Source kernel (first box) is the boot.img that comes with the rom
New kernel (second box) is boot.img of the kernel.
Click upload and go make a sandwich.
You'll get a download link (valid for 3 hours) for your newly repacked boot.img
Download and flash in fastboot, restart into recovery and flash module. Wipe cache and dalvik cache
And enjoy.
