Internet (3G & Wifi) not functioning all of a sudden. Help! - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi All,
Just ran into a new (severe) problem. It began yesterday evening.
I was in the process of pairing my phone with my new bluetooth car stereo, and noticed it wasn't pairing properly (was doing phone or audio, but not both simultaneously).
Anyway I went to the internet via 3G to try to find issues with bluetooth, and then I noticed internet wasn't working at all.
I walk up to my apartment and then try WIFI, which also is not functioning at all (it's as if it's not connected - I just get "webpage not available" in the browser, and similar messages in every other app).
Note that the phone / sms still works fine.
I had made a nandroid a week and a half ago, went home and restored that. It fixed the problem; internet was working correctly again.
As of now, the problem has reappeared! Internet not working at all. Absolutely no idea what could be causing this issue (perhaps AFWall+? Was there an update?), has anyone else run into this before?
I do notice that when the phone reboots, it has internet initially right after booting but then shortly after stops working.

[Q] WiFi Constant Download

Having a problem with my WiFi, it is constant on the WiFi download arrow. I have checked the usage with data manager and it seems to be OS Services. I updated to Jelly Bean 3 days via Kies. It was fine the first day and since yesterday I have been having this problem as well as my brother who has a S3 who updated OTA. I started diagnosing the problem and it seems to stop if I disconnect every computer in the house. As soon as I connect one of them no matter which one the constant download arrow returns. This is also happening at my school without my computer there. Had the phone since July never had a problem. Any ideas for a fix?
Btw this is a Rogers I747.

Hopefully somebody figures something out. I had a similar issue with ICS, but it was Doubletwist Airsync forcing my wifi setting to always now. Not sure what is going on now. But if it's doing what you say with the computers, maybe it has something to do with WiFi direct or something.
I have even factory reset and it was still doing it before I even loaded anything on to the phone. Is there a way I can completely fresh install the OS?
Any time I look at my wifi (In both ICS and JB) I have an almost constant download arrow, but only on WiFi.
If I turn wifi off my data does not do the same thing. I downloaded a network monitor and found that even over an hour of idle the phone had only downloaded a few kilobytes of info. Like you said, it was for OS services or something OS related.
I just assume it's some kind of ping that the phone has to do so the router doesn't disconnect it? I'm not overly sure how WiFi works. After seeing no significant decrease in battery life I stopped worrying about it.
Its just odd that 3 months + I have had this phone it never happened. Now all of the sudden this is happening to two phones after the a day after the jellybean update.
sorry to bring this up again, but has anyone found the issue or solution?
My GN 10.1 has this same issue.
I'm sure this is a nice battery drainer.

[Q] Chromecast Issues on MOAR v7.1.0?

I have the Sprint Galaxy S3 and I recently switched to MOAR. It's great but since then I also am unable to find my Chromecast device from my android phone. My laptop can discover and stream to it just fine, as well as two other Android devices (one that is rooted and one that is not). It seems odd to me that this would be the problem, but I didn't make any other changes around the time it happened.
I've tried power-cycling my phone and the router, making sure everything is on the 2.4ghz network, and resetting the Chromecast via the button as well as in chrome. Help? Is there any solution short of changing roms (if that even is the problem)?
Well as an update.. I have since factory reset the phone and Chromecast worked again. Now I am running the Wicked Rom and I can't find the Chromecast again. If this is really a rom problem I wouldn't know why others haven't brought it up. Also, my friend who has a rooted s4 is running Hyperdrive and he was able to connect to the Chromecast so I am just really confused.
It's because your phone is 5mhz instead of the chromecasts only option the 2.4.

[Q] Mobile Data not working on CM11..

I am kind of new to the Android world (about 3 months) and about 2 days ago, one of my friends told me that getting CyanogenMod11 is the coolest thing ever, so I went over to his house and he rooted my phone, then he installed CyanogenMod11 via the new installer. I have the Galaxy S3 AT&T and everything was going good. When I was walking home, I turned on my Mobile Data in Settings>Data Usage and when I went into the Google Chrome app, it said "You are offline." I went into many other apps that require internet connection for example, I went into Instagram and it says "Couldn't refresh feed." I got home and I logged into my wifi and then Chrome and the other applications needing internet connection worked again, I went back outside far enough to where I get disconnected from my wifi and then I turned my mobile data on just to find that it did not work. [Note : Before I left his house, I went into Tumblr and my phone froze then it rebooted. When it turned back on, I was getting all of these messages appearing on my screen saying, "Unfortunately com.google.gaaps (or something like that) has stopped working." I got a few of these messages all relating to Google applications like on YouTube the app would close when I opened it. I rebooted my phone and that seemed to fix this problem.] I need to know whether I should look for a way to get my phone back to stock or if there is a fix to my problem.

I cannot seem to find a tutorial on how to flash a modem onto my ATT Galaxy S3 and I have pretty much given up on searching for one unless you can supply me with directions on how to do so. I appreciate your help and sorry for being a "noob" at rooting, modding, flashing, and Android overall.
EDIT-- I found out how to flash a modem onto my device and it did not fix my problem, I now have resulted in looking for a way to get back to stock and forget about rooting, modding, flashing, and just sticking to the stock Android and accepting how it is..

[Q] update modem/firmware/kernel to fix data issues?

Since I started working full time in my new career I haven't had time to keep up with the changes. Can I get someone in the know to help me out with this?
I remember reading that KitKat was known to have data issues. I have the following:
T-Mobile model SM-N900T
4.4.2
N900TUVUCNB4
custom kernel: 3.4.84-leanKrnerl-hlte-2.2 (don't remember name, got it here)
stock rom modified
Problem is every once in a while I lose data connection even though it shows a 4G icon and several bars of service. I even had T-Mobile send me the signal booster, which is installed at my home and seems to be working, but same issue continues to happen. And if I turn on WiFi at that point, WiFi connects, but 4G icon doesn't go away, and I stay without data access even though I'm supposedly connected to WiFi.
As you can imagine, this is annoying. It happens at least once a day, sometimes multiple times. Then it goes back to normal.
I don't have the time to update fully to a new rom with new firmware and have to reinstall everything. Is there new modem/radio/firmware/kernel I can install over my existing installation and expect to see this issue go away? Or am I stuck with this until I change phones?
Thanks for your patience and helping me out with this.
Unfortunately its a common issue and there is no fix for it.
quick fix it to out your phone in airplane mode then out of it
Thanks, although that sucks to hear. Of all my Samsung devices (see sig + smart tv, blu-ray, sound bar, tablets) the Note III has by far been the buggiest. Both my wife and I have had buggy experiences and I'm rooted and she's fully stock. Not nearly as happy with this Note III as I was with the Note II, that's for sure.
Once again, thanks for taking the time to answer.

I too had network issues. My 4G would slow to a crawl or would become non responsive. It would take a reboot or airplane mode toggle to make 4G work for about an hour before it goes bad again.
I updated to the latest NF4 firmware and it has been running for the past 48 hours with no issues.
Speed is not much of an improvement. I get around 30mbps /22mbps in NYC. But data stability has increased to a great extent. I do get the occasional hiccups with data , but it resolves itself in about 10-15 seconds.
Hope this helps you
Rooted Note 3 with stock NF4 firmware / debloated
Updated to nf4 before bed last night so it's only been half a day but will post result later tonight when I get home where I usually experience this data issue to see if the new firmware makes a difference.
Update: so far so good. I've been home for several hours now and haven't gotten any data issues.
OK spoke to soon. 10 minutes after I posted my data stopped working. Had to toggle airplane mode.

[Q] unable to turn on Wi-Fi

Hi guys,
Recently I just got myself a Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 GT-N5110. Everything worked well for the first few days. However, on one day, the icon of WiFi on my tablet said it was off so I tried to switch it on but it seems like it cannot turn on the Wi-Fi at all. I tried to reset the tablet several times. But nothing helped. That annoying issue still exists. So hope you all could help me. Thanks in advance
Your wifi module may have gone bad. Check to see if you see WiFi scanning when you enable it. If you don't see any names listed or for some reason it jumps out of the scanning screen, it is not able to communicate with the WiFi module. May have been dropped.
