[Q] New at&t Rom that shows H+ and different phone model - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

I just installed this ROM and it is great --> [ROM][Jellybean][4.2.2]BeanStalk Build 1.190 {4-15-13}
However, I did notice that even though this my carrier is ATT it shows, 3G, H and H+ symbols instead of 4G.
Also i noticed that my phone model has changed from (i317 mine) to GT-N7105.
Should I not have placed this rom on my phone? Is this because its a cyanogenmod rom 10.1?

That is how its supposed to be. 4g on stock ROM is equal to h/h+/3g on your aosp based ROM. Its just showing the true signal. And yes your phone model will show that unless you change it in the build.prop

Dont think thats right. It should show 4g for lte. H and h+ is 3g and 3.5g respectfully.

In your opinion, [Please look at the page / rom details] Should i remove this ROM from my i317 phone.

I will do that..I am not worried about that as much as the rom changing my Model number. I just wanna make sure it's legit for MY phone model and how i would go about changing it back...im a noob. Any assistance would be great..and thanks for answering on my posts.

No. I'm running root box but its based off similar grounds. Its all aosp based. My model number shows exactly what yours does. I feel no need to change it as everything works as it should.

Anyone care to explain why Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T can all share the same kernel but sprint gets treated like the red headed step child?

My guess would be that ATT, T-Mobile, and VZW all use 1700/2100 MHz bands for LTE while Sprint uses different bands. That's just a guess, so I could be wrong.

Kernels and ROMs I've tried from other variants have worked. The phones on each carrier are identical (excluding the radio hardware). If you do decide to try one read carefully. But I've done it several times with no harm done

Ya i can confirm flashing a tmo or vzw kernel works most of the time. the landscape orientation will be upside down but they work. Hell im running vzw aokp right now and made 0 changes to it before flash

With that being said does that mean that flashing over a Verizon Kernel would be a bad idea? or would there be a chance for profit? or even a rom for that matter?

To my surprise, other than the reversed screen orientation in landscape. Excellent. Didnt even alter the build.prop. You'd swear it was made for our device.
Flashed a verizon tw based rom or two as well. Those tend to require a change two the build.prop but still am able to use their kernel just fine. The tw ones never run this good tho

What do you mean by reduced cell service? Like no 3g/4g/LTE or just spotty?
If you're only getting edge, check your IMEI

I apologize i should be more specific. I am getting lte most of ther time because my area has strong lte. Also great speeds. I ve noticed though in traveling short distances from my home..places where i normally get strong lte, the connection switches quickly to all different modes then back to lte. Also i usually get more bars where i am. Not sure if its the rom or a google issue...

GT-N7105T or GT-N7105

Hey guys.
Seen this around the threads but want to ask apart from being one more 3g band and 2 less 4g bands, what's the difference between the two? Everything else should be the same?
And the major thing is are all the n7105 roms going to go onto the T version no problems? That's one of my main concerns... Is there different partitions or something?
Thanks guys.

I have used several N7105 roms on my N7105T with no problems (currently using an AT&T note 2 rom on my Telstra note 2). From my understanding any N7105 rom will run okay. If you have network issues, just reflash the modem for your provider.
Thanks mate.
I'm with optus and I've bought this phone directly from Samsung. Straight up rom, no bloat of any kind. So I don't know if I should be using the non T version or what. But from what your saying then rom wise, I won't have any dramas, that's good news. I heard triangle didn't work before update because of a partition difference. That worries me a little.
But if you've been flashing N7105 roms and had no issues then that's awesome. Far as I'm aware it's just the bands that are different. The T has quad 2g, quad 3g and dual 4g as the non T version has quad 2g, tri 3g and quad 4g. Is that right?
Everything else apparently is exactly the same. Just needed some professional opinions Haha.
Thanks mate. Any more info would be much appreciated.
Thanks again.

I am not really sure about what bands are compatible with the n7105/T but I do know that all n7105 roms are compatible with any 4g version of the note 2. What I meant earlier about the modem is that if you use a n7105T, you should use an n7105T modem. If you use an AT&T note 2, use an At&T modem. If you use an international n7105, use that modem.
Not sure if that answers your question but hopefully it helps.

Thanks heaps again.
Yeah that does help heaps.
So basically, like a nexus, you just flash the right radio for your version of Android after you've flashed your rom and it's all good?
Yeah sorry, I've just been paranoid about bricking my device not flashing the "proper" model rom. But as far as I can gather it's exactly the same handset, just the radio would different, because of the bands. It's great to hear that you've flashed multiple N7105 roms and had absolutely no dramas. That means it's fine! Haha.

Yep that's it! Don't worry so much, it is very simple. Just make a nandroid backup before you do anything as a safety net
Thanks man.
Well, from this then, N7105 or N7105T, both the same with everything. No chance of bricking. I had another response saying he said it's a bit risky with the T model as it's different, that was one thing that made me second guess... And the triangle away partition error...

How do i check if my s3 is LTE?

how can i check on my s3 if its LTE version?
the fastest easiest sure fire way is to open the battery cover to your phone and remove the battery and check the white sticker.
The model will say SGH-T999L if its LTE.
SGH-T999 for a regular original S3 with no LTE.

Yes, all models can get the ROM running currently. But only the original modem without LTE (the SGH-T999) works with data. '
November 25th is the LTE release date officially. As for SGH-T999 users, we DO NOT know when we're getting it, but we can either speculate the same day, or within the month.
