I move, with app Root explorer, the apps LatinIme and Trebuchet to /system/app/, from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33258452&postcount=37
reboot in recovery mod, wipe /cache, and install from zip with gapps gapps-jb-20121015.zip

I downloaded "[ROM] AOKP [UNOFFICIAL] nightly - JellyBean - 4.2.1 - JOP40D - NIGHTLY" (sprint galaxy nexus) and installed the supposed latest gapps with goo manager but as soon as i unlock the phone i get an endless barrage of "unfortunately x has crashed". If someone who has this rom could post a link on the right gapps to install that would be great.
Did you clean install and also did you fix permissions?

First you have to flash the Rom.
Then you have to flash the GApps package.
And then you should fix Permissions.

Hi, I just installed CyanogenMod,but the problem is the Play seems to be missing... I tried installing the apk I found within my directory, but with no avail, it would just open and close almost immediately.
Any/All help is appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks, I installed those, and now the keyboard that came with CM10 will not work and constantly tells me it has crashed. Rendering the phone unusable. I then installed a custom keyboard, (found an APK) and signed into my google account, but the phone now will not use the home button, and the google sync and google services won't work.
Do a factory reset, flashing the Rom then the gapps package, then reboot.

Yup I got the full stock package but all of them should work fine.
Also I recommend updating your cm version, just install the package from the recovery with no wiping data.

Then:
Backup and reset [from settings] this will erase all data.
****************************************************************************************************************************************************************
If this didn't work then the following steps are my last solution:
1. Download this, it's CM11 (Latest Nightly Version)
2. Go here, download your preferred GApps Package.
3. Put the downloaded files on your external SD.
4. Back-up your data.
5. Get into the recovery mode:
-Wipe data / factory reset
-advanced > wipe dalvik cache, then go back
-install zip > choose the downloaded files directory and install CM then GApps
- Reboot.

On which version were you prior to updating to 12.1 snapshot? If you were on 11.0 snapshot you might want to consider a clean flash (factory reset, then flash ROM, then flash gapps). I did it like that and had no problems so far.
Good luck

Try "open gapps" I always have good results using those. Maybe try a fresh install of Lollipop though with FULL wipes including system. If not at least wipe cache and dalvik after flashing.

Since I have less than 10 posts I can't paste links, but gapps file that I used is the one suggested by CyanogenMod. Google "CyanogenMod gapps". Go to first link (it should be CM wiki page). Scroll down until you find table with version 12.1 "Download: GitHub". Click on it. Now, when on GitHub scroll down and click "arm". Now select the latest zip file (at the time of writing this, it's "gapps-5.1-arm-2015-07-17-13-29.zip"). If it doesn't start downloading click on "view the full file" or "View Raw".
If that doesn't work, try doing as RuffBuster said.
Hi There,
Is succesfully flashed my i9300 (Samsung Galaxy S3) to Lineagos en flashed the Stock Gapps (the default) after it.
Now I discover that I installed way too much google apps which slow down my phone. For example.. I don't want google Now and some other apps.
Is there a way to deinstall Gapps en install another package? I tried factory reset / whipe data/dalvik but still got the gapps back.
I've been googling about this option but cannot find a good answer which helps me. So got my hope on you reader

If it is OpenGapps, you can flash the smaller package on top, and it should work.
Perhaps the better method, would be to wipe system/cache/dalvik (keeping data), flash ROM and new Gapps package, and you should be good.

Yes - Wipe System/Cache/Dalvik, and flash ROM/Gapps again.
If you are using OpenGapps, you can just flash the smaller OpenGapps package on top of the installed OpenGapps, and this would uninstall the apps not included in the smaller package.

I just wanted to add a quick little caveat to this (with no disrespect):
While in the recovery, when you flash a GApps package (or even one over another), you'll see within the progress of it being flashed, some verbiage that states it removing old/previously installed apps before the GApps performs that packages installation.
Thanks!

I think that did the job. But now my device keeps saying Android is being started with sort of progress bar. I did the lineageos walkthrough screens. After that I am not coming further than this screen...
I installed Aroma and made my choice.

When I reboot also got this screen.
Installed an earlier build. Now it's working...

I have not used Aroma installer, but have had great luck using OpenGapps (super) along with gapps-config. You just have it in the same directory as the OpenGapps zip, and it installs just the apps that you indicate in the file. Unzip my file in the next post as a starting point, if you are interested.

choosing the pico variant of the gapps doesnot include you a google now home launcher , so when you see tha android is starting progress bar, your device says that it cannot start a launcher because you havent provided one, so get an alternative launcher

From https://github.com/opengapps/opengapps/wiki/Aroma-Package
The Aroma package is a special version of the regular 'Super' package, but with a graphical front-end that will allow you to select which specific applications to install (or not) without having to manually write a gapps-config file.

Again, you can't do manually the gapps-config and use it with AROMA, it doesn't work with AROMA that way. Just flash AROMA and select your keywords from UI, and check the "save selections" check-box if you want to use the same settings later in other AROMA installation...

Terrible advice to wipe System/Cache/Dalvik
It was terrible advice in my case to wipe System/Cache/Dalvik! I'm running an LG G2 D802 in LineageOS. I had installed the wrong gapps package, so was looking to ice it and start over. Now I can't even boot the phone into TWRP recovery! I just get the LG boot logo, no matter what.
Power + volume down, then any combination of continued putting pressing and hold does nothing. Still displays the LG boot logo.
Any ideas?
