[Q]USB not working on my GT-N7105 - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
heres my first post on xda and I just wanna to explain my problem.
I am in possession of a GT-N7105, just bought the USB connection worked perfectly but when I tried to install the CF-ROOT and CWM RECOVERY me no more, the PC recognized the phone.
I state that I had installed windows 8.
First of all I installed Samsung KIES and did not recognize him. I uninstalled Kies and installed the drivers using the NOTE 2 TOOLKIT. Even so, nothing to do. The computer can not find the driver for QUALCOMM CDMA TECHNOLOGIES MSM.
I thought it was an error of Windows 8, maybe a bug, so I formatted the system by installing Windows 7 Professional, downloaded NOTE 2 TOOLKIT and installed the drivers without having the phone connected to the PC. When the TOOLKIT required me to connect to the pc NOTE2, I did. But even here, unfortunately, can not find drivers for QUALCOMM CDMA TECHNOLOGIES MSM.
P.S. The phone in DOWNLOAD MODE is recognized by ODIN and I got it back to the SERVICE FIRMWARE but even so the problem is not resolved.
I also tried to change the usb port but nothing.
I tried to install other versions of firmware via odin but nothing. I do not know what to do. Google can not give me a solution and not XDA.
So I decided to write here publicly to expose my problem. I hope someone of you can help me solve this problem that prevents me from installing the CM10.1!
In advance thank you all.

Xda community is very helpful! Thanks all!

Found it!
My friend had a similar problem, he could not connect his note to the PC.
The following fixed the issue.
1. install new samsung kies.
2. follow these steps:
From -
http://www.danrichard.com/2013/06/1...nect-to-pc-via-usb-with-unknown-device-error/
"Method 3 – Ensure you have the right settings
By default my phone was already set to the right settings for USB file transfers so I’ll assume most of these ship with the same configuration, hence why I have this as method 2. I found this on a forum and while it did not work for me, it seems a few other folks declared it a success.
Launch the phone key pad on your note and press *#7284# (don’t forget to start with that * symbol!)
When you press the last pound sign (#) this will bring up an option that will allow you to change your USB connection settings (modem or PDA) – change it to PDA.
At the bottom there is a button that says Qualcomm USB. Click on it.
In that menu click on MTP + ADB option.
Save and reset.
Wait for your phone to restart.
Plug the micro USB cable to the Note 2 and the the other end to your PC or Mac
Let your computer down load and install drivers.
Once installing is done, unplug then replug phone.
There should be a USB symbol on your phone in the status bar - click on it. It should ask if you wsnd to use mtp or ptp. Click MTP
At this point your PC should open the phone’s folders in explorer similar to the screenshot above. "
Hope it helps you. keep the faith!

Really thanks man! Finally my usb is working like the first time Thx!

Downloaded the Samsung Mobile Drivers and used Method 3- WORKED FINALLY!

Holy Toledo, you are confused my friend, if your OP is any indication. Understand that XDA is not a noobs forum. Yes, everyone had to start at the beginning, but if a forum wishes to aim for a clientele with a bit higher level of knowledge/experience, there's nothing wrong with that and they have a right to do so, especially with there being a gazillion other Android forums that do handle noob questions. I suspect you don't realize how many things are wrong with your OP, "wrong" in the sense that they reveal a massive level of confusion on several quite basic concepts. To wit: reinstalling the PC's entire operating system as part of a solution toward hooking up your mobile to it is such ludicrous overkill that it is not a wonder people will read it and run in the other direction. Fast . And that's one example of many I could make. None of this makes you a bad person by the way, just a very inexperienced one. The best advice I can give you is to pay your dues a little longer and post to other forums if you must, and use XDA in the meantime as the best reference you can find anywhere on the net. I don't know if you'll ever get this, but down the road others in your shoes will. And I won't be revisiting this thread, so good luck :good:.

Epic 4g Not recognized on Windows 7 64 bit

I'm from the Evo 4G section of xda and just bought an Epic 4G from a friend to play around with. I've rooted and fully customized my Evo 4G and my uncle's Samsung Infuse. So I am not new to the rooting side of these phones. However, I just can't seem to get this to work no matter how hard I try.
Ok so I have done Google searches and sifted through the various "fixes" here on xda....I cannot, no matter what I do, get my epic 4g to be recognized on my Windows 7 64 bit.
I've downloaded and installed about 3 or 4 different USB driver files. I've gone through 2 different cables. I've uninstalled and even updated drivers via Windows. And I've installed and updated Kies. I bought the phone from a friend of mine who had done a full system restore before he gave it to me. So if there were any system issues they should be gone. When I plug in one of the cables the phone shows that the USB cable is connected and I have USB debugging on. But my computer shows "Uknown Device." Does anyone have any suggestions for me please?
I've included screenshots of what my computer shows me. Any help, or reference literature that I may have overlooked, that you guys can provide would be extremely helpful.
There's a few reasons this could be happening. You may want to try different USB ports on your computer or connecting through a USB hub. Also, make sure you're using the official Samsung drivers (you can search for them on XDA).
Otherwise, go to the dialer on the phone and punch in ##8778# and under USB make sure PDA is checked instead of modem. Hope that helps.
I too could never get win7x64 to work but had no problem on other pc running win7x86. I wasted hours trying. Uninstalled everything, removed all references in registry, used usbdevview, device manager, different usb ports, win update, and on and on and on. Gave up since I had other computer and it just worked 1st try. Please pm me if u find the solution. Would still like it to work on 64 bit. My thought is the 64 bit driver, but I hear others are working. :-O

Mine works fine on my 64bit Laptop. I had to update drivers once though since going to GB leak broke it. On my desktop it will only work if connected in the rear USB port.

I've used atleast 3 different computers with 64 bit windows 7, I never did anything special except for download the drivers from samsungs website...
I don't know what it is because I couldn't get the computer to recognize my phone on my uncle's laptop (which runs Vista 32). It kept giving me the same "Unknown Device" message when I went to look at the drivers.

Welcome to the Epic 4g xda section! It just so happens I was looking for Windows 7 64-bit drivers earlier today.
Here's where I found them: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=798067
Then scroll down to the section "2.3 – ROOTING" and you'll find the listed drivers there.

That post and those drivers are old...
Go here and get the drivers from Samsung:

AFAIK, that package should install the correct drivers for the OS.

I have literally the same problem, phone was reconized and connected fine when i was running xp 32 bit, installed windows 7 64 bit and nothing i do will work. Was your problem ever resolved?
All i can say is try extracting the drivers thru 7zip
then extract the files it gives you
then u should see like a folder and then copy and paste the
folder in the c: program files
and then go back to device manager and then actually manaually search for
drivers and that should work cuz it worked for me im using Windows 8
unfortunately that is one of the exact ways I tried to do it, thanks for the input tho. Just incase I over looked something searching for the driver manually, what sub category should my phone be under in device manager? thx
For those having trouble getting the drivers installed in Win7(x64/x86).
A workaround could be to use WUBI (Ubuntu's windows based installer that adds an option to boot to Ubuntu, while allowing it [Ubuntu] to be uninstalled from windows like a "normal" program).
Install WUBI, boot to Ubuntu, problem solved!
If the point of installing the drivers it to get Odin working...
The WUBI workaround would still work, you would just replace Odin with Heimdall (which is 100x better/more stable than Odin anyway).
I realise this is a lot to do for resolving a driver install problem, but... Heimdall pwns Odin anyway.

and if your in download mode when you hook your phone up
it will show up under modem it wil not show until you connect your phone
Ok I had to do the following inorder for it to work on my windows 7 x64 bit
I download the samsung epic 4g driver samsung_mobile_driver_v1.3.800.0.msi
I then used 7zip to extract the file
I then used the msi file and installed it
I then used 7 zip and extracted the samsung_mobile_driver_v1.3.800.0.msi file to a directory
I then DISABLE ALL INTERNET ACCESS ON THE LAPTOP BY TURNING OFF WIFI AND OR PULLING THE LAN CABLE OUT THE PC.
I then plug the phone into the pc usb slot
let the pc find the drivers
if it does not find them point to the extracted directory you did above and it will be good.
now do ##8778# and place the bottom into pda and if it cant find drivers point it to the extracted directory.
now turn phone off and go into download mode 1 key and power button and let windows find the drivers

Oh... my... god. I spent hours today trying to figure out how to get this phone I picked up to show me its sd card as a drive. Everyone on the internet seemed to be saying it was the lack of the right drivers, though they all disagreed on what the right drivers were. I tried so many different drivers, no luck.
That above, that I quoted: all it took. Why would it possibly be misconfigured out of the box in such a weird, impossible-to-locate way? Jeez.
(Anyway, I know I'm bumping a super old thread with this first post, but I felt compelled not just to thank this person for restoring my sanity, but also to bump up this thread's relevance for future googlers going as crazy as I was going.)

Help us help you, Please answer the questions below:
1. What OS are you using? Ex. Windows XP/Vista/7/8 or Mac OSX?
2. Do you get any error when installing the driver?
3. Do you get an error when you connect the device?
4. We're you able to sync or get your phone detected by KIES?
Thanks,
Carl

you only need to do this exactly
1. first install skies or samsung drivers and odin.
2. open odin (1.85 or 1.84)
3. make sure your phone is open not in download mode. then connect usb cable to your computer with odin window open and connect galaxy y then this time turn off your fone and press "home button+power+volume down" and it detects your phone..and done!thats it.

Please do check the following:1. USB Ports
Try a different port. [Applies to PREVIOUSLY DETECTED PHONE and/or NEW PHONE CONNECTED FOR THE FIRST TIME]
If you are using a desktop computer, try the USB ports at the back of your computer.
If you are using a notebook computer, make sure the power plan you're using is not in Balanced or Power Saver. Try using High Performance when trying to flash and make sure USB Selective Suspend is disabled.2. USB Filter Driver [Applies to Windows Vista/7 Machines though later version of XP Supports USB Filter Driver]A Filter Driveris a Microsoft Windows driver that adds value to peripheral devices or supports a specialized device in the personal computer. It is a driver/program/module that is inserted into the existing driver stack to perform some specific function.
Written either by Microsoft or the vendor of the hardware, any number of filter drivers can be added to Windows. Upper level filter drivers sit above the primary driver for the device (the function driver), while lower level filter drivers sit below the function driver and above the bus driver.Try deleting theUSB "Upper Filter" & "Lower Filter" Entry in registry editor and check if it fixes the problem.
Delete the USB Upper and Lower Filter in the Registry by following the steps by following the steps below:
Before we go any further, please first backup the Registry.
Important: This method contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry
incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can
restore the registry if a problem occurs.
For more information about how to back up and restore the registry in Windows:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Back-up-the-registry
1. Click “Start”, type “REGEDIT” (without quotation marks) in the “Search” bar and press Enter.
Note: If UAC (User Account Control) pops up, please accept it.
2. Right click “Computer” (the root node) in the left pane, click “Export” under the “File” menu, choose “All” under “Export range”, and select “Desktop”
in the “Save” in box and type backup in “File Name”. Click “Save”.
Note: The backup file is on the Desktop and named backup.reg. We can simply restore the registry by double-clicking the backup.reg file.
3. Click “Start”, type “REGEDIT” (without quotation marks) in the “Search” bar and press Enter again.
4. Locate the “UpperFilters” value under the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000}
5. On the “Edit” menu, click “Delete”, and then click “OK”.
6. Locate the “LowerFilters” value under the same key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000}
7. On the “Edit” menu, click “Delete”, and then click “OK”.
8. Quit Registry Editor and restart the computer.
Make sure you follow the steps correctly.3. Samsung drivers[Applies to PREVIOUSLY DETECTED PHONE and/or NEW PHONE CONNECTED FOR THE FIRST TIME]
Reinstall Samsung drivers to make sure driver files are intact. Believe it or not, a simple update or program installation can mess up drivers on your computer.
Before you re-install the driver, please take note of the following:
Your phone should be disconnected and/or any USB device (USB Flash drives, cameras, ipod etc etc)
Close any program that communicates with you phone -KIES, Odin etc etc.
If you're using for more than an hour or have opened several programs, please turn of your computer and the turn it back on, a warm boot (restart) is not the best way to "refresh" your computer before you install drivers, It should be a cold boot (shutdown-power up)
If you've taken my notes in consideration, please by all means re-install the drivers 4. Try a different version of Odin that supports Galaxy Young.
Make sure the Odin version you're using supports Galaxy Young. Some Odin versions support specific samsung phones ONLY5. Restore your computer to a state where your phone can be detected.[Applies to PREVIOUSLY DETECTED PHONE ONLY]
This option applies if all else fail and do me a favor, don't call your computer's support team, they will make you do a bunch of troubleshooting steps and in the end, a simple restore would take care of it.ANOTHER NOTE:
Pressing the POWER BUTTON without having both HOME BUTTON and VOLUME UP KEY pressed will not get you anywhere. Either your press HOME BUTTON first then the VOLUME UP KEY before you press the power button or you make yourself believe that your phone won't go into download mode/Odin mode. That being true, previous comment that says: "home button+power+volume down" I believe is a typo. Good luck to y'all who have this kind problem.

Windows doesn't "see" note 2.

Good Evening folks,
I'm posting here after spending the better part of 2 days trying to figure out why this doesn't work.
So, i have the following:
model: GT-N7100
Version: 4.1.1
Build: JRo03C - ALJ1
I run a PC with windows 7 and also have a laptop with windows 8.
Now, initially i only wanted to root my device to install an addblocker on it and get rid of some bloatware. so i went and got samsung note2 toolkit here on XDA. (also tried others)
but no matter how i tried the pc (nor laptop) would see the note 2. it would plug in, it would charge... but windows ignored it otherwise.
i have tried al 8 of my USB ports on the desktop, and all 3 on the laptop. none of them work
3 different USB cables.
re-booted more then times then i can count.
i have manually installed the samsung drivers.
i have tried installing the windows MTP Porting kit
all to no avail.
So before i can even START to root... i need it to to play nice with my machines... anyone have ANY suggestions on what the hell is going on here.

first of all I forgot to mention that this should've been posted in Q&A section
for the problem try the following steps. after each one of them try connecting again. keep net disconnected while you follow the steps.
if it starts working then stop other wise continue.
1)use a diff comp, but you already did that , use a different cable, you didn't mention it
2)try uninstalling drivers via programs and features.
3)try installing drivers - preferably via mskip's toolkit
if you have windows 7, then directly install it
if you have windows 8, then first disable driver signature enforcement via this guide's last question.
4)try re installing windows. if you don't wanna do that then
open device manager
in view -> show hidden devices
delete each one that says samsung, note ii or note 2, android, google, adb, gt-n7100, n7100
this will ensure that you truly remove drivers
follow step 3) after this.
Hope I helped
All the usual and helpful ideas have been listed and you should definitely work thru those to make sure you are not missing something obvious but critical. I also use Win8 (64) and all was well with my Note2 showing up as an MTP device and wll working then one day, seemingly spontaneously, it suddenly didnt! When I would plug my Note2 in, Windows would give me a USB error telling me it could nto recognise the device! To cut a long story short, I tried my wife's S2 and IT appered fine as an MTP device happily enough, so that ruled out the cable, the port and the computer/OS.
I then tried my Note2 on my laptop, and once again it came up as USB error, so the problem was following the DEVICE around....
After a lot of googling, I tried on thing that fixed it instantly:
On the phone, go into Settings, Security and delete all the "Device Administrators" which in my case was just my Email app. That did delete my email account from my phone (contacts, email etc) but didnt matter as phone is just a dumb client to the mail server so no loss of any real data.
Once removed, I then plugged phone in and BOOM! MTP device happily appeared! I then went back in and just re-added my email account and re-activated Device Administrator when asked. Working ever since.
Not saying this is your problem, but it was an eye opener to me that the Device Administrator could 'lock out' the USB connection of the device....
Hope this helps.

I would also recommend checking your Windows Update log - especially if you have it set to automatic updates. After I installed the drivers off of the Samsung website, Windows Update tried to "Update" my drivers to an older version (I do manual Windows Updates). The first time it asked, I let it, and my phone couldn't connect anymore. Once I stopped that silliness I stopped having problems.

I was having the same problem, but I was using a USB cord that I had from my old phone. Switched to the white one that came with my Note 2 and it started working.

My phone just won't connect to my PC

I'm running 4.1.1 and every time I plug my device in (With stock USB) I get "USB device not recognized"
I've tried another USB. I've downloaded Kies (Will only connect wifi), I've tried reinstalling drivers, I've tried using another computer as well. I've also enabled/disabled USB debugging,
The USB connection notification only appears sometimes, and even when it does my computer still won't recognize my S3. After I reinstall the drivers my phone does say "Connected as a Media device", but then the notification goes away..
FYI, I'm trying to root, that's why I need a direct connection with my computer so badly.
Does your computer has samsung kies?
You say drivers. Idk what u mean but all we need is samsung kies.

I tried your method a few days ago, and it didn't work. I tried your method again.. it doesn't work.
I had this issue. All I did was get some good ol canned air and blew the dust out of my micro usb port. After that it connects just fine. Was about to do a warranty exchange before I did this.

Tried that as well. Neither computer works. Blew into the phone as well ...
Its your rom on the phone that's causing this. If you want to rule it out, why don't you just do a nandroid backup and install stock rom or perhaps the same rom clean from start. I had this issue before and it was fixed with reflashing clean rom.

Read his post, he is attempting to root. How does one backup their rom and restore with a stock recovery.

I should probably mention the phone charges will of the USB cables but none of them work with the PC. I can't tell if it's a software issue or internal..
I think it's a computer issue, what was the other computer software you tried on?

Tried it with W7 & Mac, neither recognize the device. Android file transfer just tells me "no device found", and the Kies on mac doesn't work either.
I still won't update my computer from XP cause all I read are device errors with upgraded versions of windows... see if you can get your hands on XP and try. Just as insurance, you have gone through device manager and removed all drivers for the phone and then pushed the proper ones from Samsung, correct?

watch the screen closely when you connect the phone to the pc. does it even recognize thst some usb device was plugged in?
After a few moments, (with the phone still connected) click start, right click on my computer, select manage and select device manager.
are there any yellow question marks on the right side under the computer?
Open the modems (click the + sign) is there any SAMSUNG USB Modem? (should have no yellow question mark)
Open Universal Serial Bus controllers, do you see the samsung Mobile USB Composite Device?
There should be NO yellow question marks or exclamation marks anywhere on the right panel.
If there are, there is a problem with your computer settings/drivers or services.
If you followed my "cannot fail" steps EXACTLY in the order I had it, and did not skip anything, you should be without any problems with the modem connectivity. That includes the uninstallation of any samsung drivers previously installed.
If you do not even see the samsung modem, the cables or the phone may be your problem.
Post your results and I'll help you to get it working. Also mention what your compurter's OS is.

My bad, speed reading is not always good... thanks for pointing that out.
Anyway, did the OP ever get this resolved? Bobolinko's steps are thorough and if that didn't fix it, why don't you just try to go into download mode and ODIN a stock ROM with root injected into it already? It's another option...
Did you try buying a fresh new cable to connect the phone to the computer? I only have those issues with corrupted USB cable and a messy laptop...
Also when that notification appears for me I go to my phone USB section and tells it to mount as storage...and if its on storage I switch media than back to storage...always work for me.

As soon as I plug my S3 in, my computer recognizes a USB is active. In Device Manager, I do not have Samsung USB, all I have is "Unknown Device". I'm not sure what you mean by yellow exclamation point in the bottom right, but there's nothing in my notifications. However, I do get 2 yellow exclamations in device manager. One in Universal Series Bus, and one in other devices
Hi there.
Check this
On calls hit *#7284#
Check if pda is enabled then click on qualcomm settings and see if mtb+adb are enabled.
If not then just enable those.
Hope this is your problem.
Good luck.

I've tried this as well. I get this error:
"Connection problem or invalid MMI code"
The problem is with your computer, and not the phone. You CANNOT get it connected with a problem in the USB settings.
click on the yellow exclamation items and DELETE or UNINSTALL them. then reboot the machine and it should reinstall automatically. If your DRIVERS that are already in the machine are bad, you have to get them updated or replaced. uninstall KIES from the computer, reboot, and reinstall it. go to samsung's site and download and install the driver for your comuter.
The one for the xp is: SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_1.4.8.0.exe
install it to your computer and be SURE there is no error while it installs.
then check again your device manager list for any yellow problem areas
connect the phone and wait a while, then, disconnect and wait about a minute
then again, connect the phone, and wait at least one minute. open the device manager page and see if there are any yellow area problems again.
are you positive you have the latest window updates?
you can sometimes right click on an item and do the driver update and fix a problem.
You clear all the COMPUTER END PROBLEMS you have and the phone will connect. That, my friend, you can take to the bank.
Good Luck!
Aloha,
post your results later

[Q] Phone no longer gets recognized as USB storage on PC

I've tried this on both my work PC and my home PC. When I plug the phone in, it makes the familiar connection sound and will start to charge but the computer doesn't ask me if I want to open it up for USB browsing. This is recent and there have been no firmware changes. I've rebooted the computers and the phone but nothing seems to matter. Has anyone else encountered this issue?
do you have developer options (in settings) on or off? Has the usb cable been roughly removed from the phone lately. it may be damaged?
developer options are off, I've also tried several cables
Are you rooted and on a custom Rom?

It doesn't mount as a USB drive, it mounts as a media device because it uses MTP. That's not an issue with the phone, it has to do with how Samsung set it up.

that makes sense now but i cant not transfer any files to the card or the phone.

Do what the poster above me said, then make sure to unlock your phone after plugging it in or else your files won't show up

Its the same thing i can't transfer files to the phone or the external card.I don't get it i never had a problem with my galaxy 2.I've uninstalled the drives installed them again and used different cables.
i have the same problem too. my phone nolonger shows up as a storage device on my pc. i have developer options on and usb debugging checked. ive tried different cables , different computer , tried rebooting phone, tried reinstalling the drivers too .. nothing seems to fix this issue... earlier today it was working fine .. when i plug it in it pops up samsung modem and thats it.. please help
This is very strange, as a work around you can use Wireless Transfer. I've used this as my main method since my OG Epic.
same issue trying the fixes mentioned. after reinstalling the driver i get about 3 files transferred then it pops up with that error....WTH is goin on i have several gigs of books and music how am i supposed to get them off?

THis is complete crap! why is this goin on?! I can get my pc to recognize the device i can browse directories but it suddenly tries to decide when to quit when i try to transfer files. I can only get about 5 folders moved before it thinks thats all and just stops it no longer comes up with the device not functioning error message anymore.......please somebody help. I dont have a large enough sd card to just transfer. Ive searched on google and there are not actually explanation only that you cant mount the internal storage as mass storage.....samsung is going the way of HTC for me. Stupid oversights renders the device a complete waste to me. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok last one. I was considering getting the note 8.0, is this something that all of their devices are gonna suffer from?
I'm not going to pretend to know what's wrong with your device, as I have 2 Galaxy S3 and a Gnex and 2 Epics which all connect just fine and I can transfer any and all files from the desktop or laptop no issues.
But I will suggest maybe you set up a drop box and you can share all those files from your phone to computer or visa versa.

well after a couple deep breaths i went ahead and did that after posting those. I still cant locate a reason why it would come up with that error. There are a couple posts in another forum talking about it being win7 related and not the device it self. Ive tested other cables, rebooted pc/device, checked/reinstalled drivers, and nothing come up out of the ordinary. I hope someone locates the issues, just for having an answer to this headache. thx
An answer-
For those who are having issues insure that your device is on a Stock TouchWiz ROM.
MAKE SURE DEVICE IS UNPLUGGED THIS ENTIRE PROCESS.
1.
= Go to the Dialpad.
= Enter this code ##3424#
= Menu will pop up click Qualcomm USB Settings.
= Click the 2nd Option MTP+ADB
= Press Save
Done
2.
= On your computer go to Control Panel Click Category for the viewing style.
= You will see Uninstall A Program. Click that and go to S- Uninstall Everything Samsung.
= Plug your device back in and let default drivers install takes average 45-60 seconds.
= Device detected as MTP. You may now transfer files.
Done
Let me know if this worked for you.

As you said, the CDC serial (Unknown Device) popped up. Unplug your device and install drivers.
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/SPH-D710
Click "Download" tab at the bottom and press the "EXE" button to download.
-Plug your phone back in afterwards and keep "Device Manager" open you will see the CDC Device disappear.
-When its installing I recommend keeping the "Installing Drivers" window open to see when everything is finished.
-After that's done switch phone to PTP via the notification menu. Let it load drivers and it will install as a camera.
-Switch back and MTP should be working.
Let me know how it goes.
