Hey I have aqquired the old radio.img for primoc and the old hboot.nb0 so they can be used to downgrade after virgin mobile recent ota update but how do I flash these?
Not positive bit I think you put them on your sd card and name them PK7xxx whatever your bootloader shows it's looking for every time you boot into it... P.S. would you be ok with going back to stock with the updated radio and updated hboot? Because if you have a Nand backup of your stock OTA..... I have the
boot.img you can flash

stock OTA boot.img
Deleted... Something funny is going on with my drop box account
By the way the possible fix did not work. I tried the rename the rom.zip to PK76IMG.zip and apply to root of sd card. Everything seemed to be going good it loaded the Rom and everything checked good and THEN it cancelled and said HBOOT to high. The end.

what exactly means "you can't"? Do you get an error?
As far as I remember out of my not yet full functional RAM you must include the correct android-info.txt (but you probably already know that...?)

Ya.. Ya.. How to get stock recovery is also given in that article..
N unrooting the device is as easy as just deleting su binaries and the supersu.apk from the /system/ and then reboot.
This is followed by getting stock recovery using some fastboot.
This gets followed by Relocking BL, which is required to get OTA(JB).
Its just a reversal of all the process done for rooting a Tegra 3 One x.
If you are using a RUU you only need to :
Relock the bootloader and put the phone in fastboot USB mode and run the RUU from pc with admin rights !
If you are using a stock rom you need :
Stock rom (without root)
Stock boot.img (kernel)
Stock recovery
A rooted rom will never update official OTA files !
same problem here.I did everything to unroot my device.I even relocked the bootloader, the problem is that I couldn't find a suitable RUU for my device.I downloaded the original stock RUU(something like 1.29.xx)but when I run the RUU as administrator it shows my device has a newer version than it us going to upgrade.
Is there any other way to do it.I'm asking this because Im not getting the jellybean update notification.but I get the new system update notification which is 12.15 mb.
Sorry for the noob questions asked earlier.please help!

Open the RUU
Press WindowsKey + R
Type in "%TEMP%", then enter
Sort the file by date modified and find the folder with a zip that says "rom.zip"
Copy that to your desktop
Close the RUU
Rename the "rom.zip" to "PC36IMG.zip" and place it on the root of your sdcard (not inside ANY folder)
Boot your phone into bootloader (power it off, then hold the power key + VolDown)
The bootloader should find the PC36IMG.zip and commence the update process back to 100% stock
Note: Your sdcard must be formatted to FAT32 for this to work

fastboot flash zip 1.09.01.0312_vivow_Radio_PG32IMG.zip Same as the above, do not interrupt under any circumstances (unless you really wanted a phone-shaped paperweight )
On that last step it will not let me flash. When I try it comes back with FAILED (remote: 12 signature verify fail)
I have tried to rename it to PG32IMG.zip and put it in the sd card root for an update however it reads the file and skips over the update without letting me apply it.
I have also tried to flash from fastboot with the original file name and renaming the file. I still get the Failed message
Any help would be great. For now I dont know where to go.
Cant install ViperINC, help
Hello, since I just joined the forum I am unable to post in Development section. So I'll try my luck here.
I am running S-off with twrp recovery. When I try to install ViperINC it fails at the last step "installation" in AROMA. Basically I select everything I need in the AROMA click next it looks like its trying to install but then just finishes and pops up a next button. I have been tring to do that. They say Revolutionary should be self explainitory however. I get to this step
Zerging Root.. This might take a minute or so.. Root Acquired!
Sending in Caroline...
Cleaning up...
Rebooting to fastboot...
When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back!
Waiting for Fastboot...
Then nothing. My phone reboots into fastboot. I left the tool running in the backround for an hour with it stuck there and nothing else happens. I never get S-Off.
Since I have tried this several times over the last few days I even tried to use fastboot during one of the revolutionary processes just to see if fastboot is working and it is. Just the tool never gets me to S-Off. dont know what to do

Yes. Part of the guide requires you to use both ADB and Fastboot. both of them work outside of Revolutionary
also on a side note I tried to do it again tonight as my 1 hour trek. I checked device manager to make sure there were no driver malfunctions recorded by wndows before using revolutionary and while using it.

A lot of people have a problem with the flash a new radio part. If you are following the guide I'd just on to the next step which I believe is revolution. As long as you obtained the correct key from the website for your phone that should unlock your phone to s-off and it'll day revolution at the top of the hboot screen instead of locked. From there If you aren't having any problems don't even bother with a new radio. Just pick a custom ROM, follow the instructions and flash it.

During the guide process I could never flash the radio. I tried flashing it from Custom recovery with the Superuser option when having dev unlock. I tried flashing from Fastboot as its asked. Ive tried renaming the file from PG32IMG, I also tried downloading alternate radios to be where I need to be. I also tried modifying the original flash rom folder so it would not replace the correct radio I needed. Non of the above options work as it fails with 12 connection error. I also tried all those options on 3 different sd cards just to be sure my sd card didnt do down in flames. Without flashing the radio I only got 1 boot into the OS to try and run revolution Tool. It would run reboot into fastboot Fastboot is responsive however after letting it sit for over an hour per attempt it never rebooted to give me the full S-off which also means no custom roms cause I cant flash radios without being S-off to start with. Forgot to add when I renamed it to the PG32IMG and got into boot mode. it would read the file and never give me the option to install update. it would skip over it like it wasnt there.

Yes, part of the guide tells you to go in and turn off fastboot before start revolutionary tool. Also the custom mod I want to use for it would require me to flash firmware and custom radio for ICS. Neither of which I can do with s-on. And is the reason I am tring to get s-off with her phone
as far as I know you can just go htc dev unlocked, with root. download the custom rom that you want, flash it in recovery, pull the boot img and rename it to pg32img.zip put that on the sd card in the main area not in a folder. go into the boot loader. it'll grab the boot image file named pg32img.zip and install it. then change the file name, boot phone and profit.

Close, but you can't just rename an image to a zip like that, in order to go the PG32IMG route you'd need to create a zip with the correct file structure and put the boot.img in that. Instead of trying to figure that out, just extract the boot.img, plug it into your PC, boot into the bootloader and run "fastboot flash boot boot.img" to flash the kernel.

Hi guys,
I recently attempted to flash a rom (PACman found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1948034) to my Virgin Mobile HTC one V and I am having some problems with it.
When my phone reboots (from TWRP 2.3.3.0) it gets to the white HTC screen (With the red letters under the logo) and goes to the PACman bootscreen. Then the rom starts and I am able to use the rom for about 1 minute. Then it reboots and the process repeats.
I have successfully flashed the boot.img. The only problem I can see is that I was unable to factory reset it. (It would say it failed).
Thanks for any help.
This sounds like a problem with your Radio/HBOOT. Is it up to date? I'd recommend going back to stock with bootloader locked stock recovery stock boot etc and checking for updates. It could also be a kernel issue with Radio and HBOOT.

I have hboot version 1.57 and as far as I can see, that is the latest.
When attempting to factory reset, the error shown is
"E: Unable to mount `/sd-ext`
I dont know what to do to fix that
May it be a problem with the rom itself?
It's not a rom issue It's just your custom recovery trying to wipe a partition on your sd card that does not exist. Please downgrade your recovery if you wish to stop setting this message

The failure your talking about is normal, and is actually a good thing. Try and find pacman ROM version 19.3 as far as I know that is the most stable version and it's no longer being developed.
