Can someone please tell me what the best screen protector is for the One?
Cheers
You can't go wrong with ZAGG, Skinomi or Ghost Armor. Ghost Armor is my favorite but I paid priority mail and it got lost in the mail. It shipped on 4/9 and USPS has the screen protector on transit. I had to beg to get the shipping refunded and it took several days of voice messages and emails for anyone to get back to me. I asked them to send me a new one but fed ex it for free and they wouldn't. I was disappointed with that decision. I think each company has a Facebook page and you can see what people say about the screen protectors.
any had any experience with the mediadevil ones?
Anyone have experience with the AT&T ones for $10?
SPG's are the best I've seen reviewed and used. There is one model for the One right now, but they usually have 2 or 3 different ones for each phone (for different functions).
I used the Official HTC protectors and i found that the edges never stay stuck down properly and bubble up. Ive now changed it to a FoneM8 one and it fits perfectly, no bubbles and the surface is smooth.
I went with some cheaper ones because their reviews on other phones have been really good as far as I can tell. Their the Fosmon Crystal Clear, I'll post when I get my phone and give it a try but they were $2 shipped for 3 protectors and arrived in 4 days.
Edit : Oh and it doesn't come with a squeegee but a credit card or whatever will work. Definitely recommend the hinge method!

I got the fosman too. They haven't come yet. I usually get spg, and I still will but bought the fosman because of the price and then I googled them and they seemed good.
I'm against wet installs, zagg, skinomi, best skin ever.... I won't do them. I don't trust the liquid application. Plus they always seem to have a grippy feel, I like the feeling of glass, like the spg ultra crystal.

I highly suggest anything that is not a ZAGG Invisible Shield.
The texture is incredibly rough and compared to a more standard screen protector, harder to use on the phone. Plus, depending on what kind of case you use, it's prone to peeling on the edges.

I stopped trusting facebook pages for companies. Several times I posted negative information on comments on different company's pages, mostly because it was near impossible to get a hold of anyone, and my post was quickly deleted without any notice to me. I say this should be illegal as it takes away my freedom of speech on the page, but whatever... Not a fight I wanna take

I don't know why people like zagg. There are so many better options out there. Zagg feels "rubbery" and I know the orange peel look has been a bit better but it still looks like crap to me. Something like spg ultra clear is what I call the perfect screen protector for any device. It's almost invisible and feels pretty much like a naked screen. Not to mention zagg is a wet install.

Yeah, they manufactured it previously, but there were some problems with capacitive button response. I have my doubts that they will make a version that works. Seems like the button sensitivity on the One is just a little on the weak side.

Yeah yeah I know there's a lot of topics about screen protectors of the one I'm serious about one that is very slick this very tough to the way I can use a stylus, Yes I'm probably still one you remaining few people who play drawsomething. The one I'm currently using a cut down from a wrapsol that I cut down and made to fit my phone. The one I currently have shows all lot of scratches on scrapes and marks. I want one that will not show any blemishes after taking a beating.

Surprisingly I have some cheap ones like $2 for 5 and it's really good quality. Compared it with a phone without a screen protector and couldn't tell the difference. got it off Amazon, but there are so many different Sellers and different kinds, I'm not sure you'll get the same one. Well ultimately, some cheap protector are just as good as some well known ones.

I'll vouch for Realook also. I used it for my Vibrant and now I'm using it for my S2.
The only downside to this screen protector is it will bubble (without modification) if you're using the D30 case due to the super tight fitment. There's some tricks you can do to avoid bubbling. Just do a search.
Amazon is selling a pair of the screen protectors for a very low price of $12!

Gadget Guard
http://www.gadgetguard.com/
I have this on my, phone, laptop, gps, my kids iPods. I put this on 30 Panasonic toughbooks at work and also about 10 different tablets. I won't buy another product ever again.
Pros: It heals itself if you use a stylus and it leaves makes they will go away, if i get a small scratch in an hour it will be gone. This doesn't include major damage. 100% life time guarantee, whatever the reason, if your gadget guard fails to live up to their high standards they will replace it, free, for the life of your device.
Cons: Dry install was a little tough, Wet install was easier but it is a little scary for electronic devices, If you wet install it will take a few days for all the little bubbles to disappear it goes faster if you let it sit in the sun.
So in around 2-3 weeks I will be uploading a new unboxing and review of one of the four brands listed above. If you have an opinion of which one I should get, then post what you think in the thread. I am leaning towards the ArmorSuit. This thread will look similar to my other thread about accessories. Here is the link for the other thread.
In the mean time, look at that thread
Oct. 9: I ordered the Skinomi. The unboxing and install video will come next week.
Oct. 17: Unboxing coming this Friday, October 19!
Oct. 19: I applied the screen protector and made an unboxing and applying video. Now I have to wait for 5 hours to turn my phone on . When it is done drying, i will make a second part of the video. So basically, it will be one 10-15 min long video.

I decided on the ArmorSuit for a couple of reasons. I was reading some threads earlier that said that the Skinomi Skin's are beeter than ArmorSuit's Skin's. I also read in the same thread that ArmorSuit's Screen Protectors are better than the Skinomi Screen Protectors. I am only getting a screen protector because I already have a case. So the obvious winner is the ArmorSuit. I also read that the ArmorSuit has more items in the kit that it comes in. It has a "lint-free (lol)" cloth and the squeegee in the ArmorSuit is better. The cloth isn't really important to me, but I need a good squeegee. Both of the screen protectors are also the same price. BTW, this is my first good screen protector. Before this, on all of my phones, I had one of those 5 for a dollar screen protectors on my phone. So stay tuned for an unboxing and review in a couple of weeks. I will be posting pictures and a video.

Oh really? Thanks for telling me that! I read that it didn't come with one. I an still probably going to still get the ArmorSuit because it still has a better screen protector. If for whatever reason I don't like it, I will get the Skinomi. I am not ordering a screen protector for a couple of days so I will still have time to compare. I really won't decide until the last minute. Anything else you want to tell me about the Skinomi? Also, was it hard to install it? How does it look? Does it cover dead pixels?

Wasn't hard to install at all, comes with a spray that you spray it with, no bubbles at all, I can't even tell it is on there, except where my case pulled it up on a side a little. good thing with them, is that there is a lifetime replacement on them.
AS for the dead pixels, I am not sure anything will cover that, I am not sure what you are expecting there.

I'm going to purchase this because you said it's a good one! Well no but seriously, I'm going to look around some more so if anyone knows any protectors that can back it up I'll take a look. But as it stands, I'll probably be buying this one
I bought an awesome pack of three on Amazon when I first got my GNex, let me see if I can find them in my purchase history.
They're anti-glare, and you can't see your fingerprints because they have a matte finish.

My bad. I confused the names of the screen protector and cover. My screen protector is the Steinheil Ultra Crystal. Its not cheap, but I can't tell the difference between it and glass.

They're way more expensive, but in my opinion it's worth (Steinheil Ultra Oleophobic , would be a good choice)
Also for more protection than just a piece of plastic, i use the fantom glass screen protector which is also pretty nice.

+1 for this. I have used several other screen protectors (ZAGG, Spigen, Clarivue and a couple of others), and this one, while not the easiest to get on, works great. Great feel and I like the way the screen looks when it is on. Because it is a matte protector, it is not invisible, but no real orange peel and it is not sticky at all - great finger feel on the screen! And cheap as well!
I hated any screen protector that I put on my Galaxy Nexus, after buying it I put on an Xtremeguard wet apply full body, after 4 months, I took it of.
Screen protectors suck and reduce the usability on the phones at times, some of them are pretty sticky or not as slippery and smooth as the glass.
PIE from AOSPA has never been so easily, I still use a case, but I bought my phone to actually use it, and I've been affecting my usability by babying it. It'll be so worth it unless you're really that paranoid about a scratch here and there.
No screen protector doesn't work for me. I work in a machine shop and metal chips find their way in my pockets daily. I prefer the non anti-glare 3 pack from Walmart or target. I forget the brand but they're cheap enough and don't interfere with usability.

These two are basically identical. Along with any other wet apply.
The zagg will probably be cut better. But the ghost armor will probably have less orange peel/slightly thinner.
the best screen protector would be an sgp. http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/htc/htc-one-screen-protector-steinheil.html
Skinomi!
+1 for Spigen. I have one for my GN10.1 and I couldn't be happier.

Get GA installed by them and you have lifetime warranty, including damage, on the screen protector
My vote is on GA, never liked Zagg's orange peel feel. GA is completely smooth
Martin Fields is the best.
I got a spigen first, and botched the install, so had to throw it away, but what was correctly applied looked great.
Then I got a Zagg, and I'm very very disappointed. The back looks good, but the front has what looks like a fold line, and is definitely not cut to adequate dimensions.
Also, the orange peel look is horrible.
Bottom line: forget the Zagg, get a spigen (I have no experience of the ghost armor)
I wonder if with zagg will have their protector available in the matte style for the one. I like it better than their normal version. The cut will also never fully cover the screen so that when you use I case, there is no worry if it pushing the protector up

They got a 3 pack of the clear ifrogz at the AT&T stores for 10 dollars. Super easy to put on with no bubbles, and it's cut out perfectly, sometimes I forget it's even on.

I used a Skinomi on my wive Nokia and I like it very much, dont see it at all and doesnt seems to affect the touch at all. So I ordered a Skinomi from Amazon and going to install that one on my HTC One. They are only 10 dollar.
Neither, I always get phantomskinz, since ye olde palm pre days. I've tried several brands and in my experience they are always well cut, has zero orange peel, and 'heals' better than other brands (especially skinomi which seems to quickly gather marks)
Non-disclaimer - I don't work for phantomskinz just have been very happy with them

Phantom Skinz
I second the Phantom Skinz vote, as well. I'm not associated with the company at all but highly recommend their product over Zagg. Never used Ghost Armour, so can't comment on that. Great price and customer service too.
Using a Zagg for the meantime. It doesnt fit well. Lots of gap on the sides.
Awaiting my SGP + Clear Slim Case which is delayed until May
Using a Zagg, since I couldn't find anything else in my local area.
I had the guy at Best Buy apply it for me, since I'm usually terrible at applying screen protectors due to being an absolute perfectionist on how it comes out.
I have Ghost Armor on my Nexus 10 and it is great, fits well, perfectly smooth, few gaps. They don't have them in stock near me until next week, but I'll most likely be having it installed then.
I've used the Spigen and I would say their cases are great, but the screen protectors are flaky. My first was the nano and it cracked around the home screen. The replacement cracked after I dropped it. I replaced that with the Slim.tr which peeled up around all the edges. My wife's Slim.tr also had peeling issues. They've since stopped making the slim.tr and have refunded my money. I'll be looking into Ghost or something else.
Also, spigen support is hit and miss. Sometimes you get a response next day, other times I've sent 3 follow up emails over the course of a month before they responded.
I found this posting on Amazon which appears to be Skinomi screen protectors for the Moto X for only $0.01. This seems like a terrific deal. I'm not sure why they would be selling them for such a low price but thought you guys might be interested.

Nice. Good find. Order a couple to hold me over until I find something else I like. Something is better than. Nothing.

I honestly don't think I will put a skin on mine. This thing is pretty tough.

Just installed mine. Fit decently, but I will post pics after it dries. Sucks waiting to turn it on!
Yeah I have used Skinomi before and actually love how easy it is to install.

Just ordered two of these since they were so cheap. I've seen good reviews of it, but this is the first time i'm getting a "wet" screen protector, and I'm a bit apprehensive as a result. Thoughts?

Not too bad. Reminds of bodyguardz in regards that the screen isn't too rubbery like invisible shield. All in all, great especially for the price.
Had the skinomi on for one week... already full of imprints... don't think I would buy again.

XtremeGuard did the same thing.
I have an Armorsuit coming as well as the Skinomi. Guess Armor is going on first.

Any experience with IQ Shield? < or > Skinomi?
Had mine on for 7 days now. Still bubbles all around the edges of the protector which look bad. One corner peeled up when I was wiping it down with a screen cloth so now I have fuzzies all under it. The feel of the protector i enjoy. It's not super glass smooth but it never feels tacky to use. The cut of the protector was perfect. Overall for $3 its not bad to hold me over until my InvisibleShield gets here (boy they are slow at shipping). I think I'll stick with InvisibleShield which I've used for many different devices and never had any problems with bubbles coming out / edges peeling. Same feel but better quality it seems.

I've got an IQ shield on mine at the moment. Installed easy but I flubbed and didn't install it quite even and so the bottom keeps bubbling from the case. I think if I'd lined it up perfectly, it wouldn't be an issue. I'd also tried the Skinomi (not impressed) and the Armorshield (I think I must have put the case on too soon, it bubbled along the side once I put the case on 24 hours later). Maybe I should stop trying wet install screen protectors?
Picked up The Skinomi because I couldn't resist the price. The cutouts for the screen sensors wouldn't line up with the phone. (yes, I installed it facing the right way)
Onto the next brand. Thinking about going with the power support one because they are supposedly officially licensed M4de for Moto X.

I have the PowerSupport screen protector that is sold on Motorola's website, and it is hands down the best screen protector I've ever used. Well worth the $15, since it comes with 2. Buttery smooth to the touch, and absolutely no distortion of image. Just feels really high quality and minimal.

Do you use a case? I use the diztronic case, and worry about spending $15on screen protectors to find out they won't fit and peel up.

I'm using the Rocketfish case from BestBuy. 100% clear, really high quality, and lets the design of this phone shine through. Well worth the price, and doesn't interfere with the screen protector either. Plus its TPU, and covers all the sides of the phone. Really the best case out there IMO.

For what its worth, I got the i-Blason screen protector from Amazon and really like it. I've bought multiple screen protectors over the years for various phones, and this one is probably the best I've had, even better than Verizon ones (which are also really good). They seem overall the easiest to install, and are very clear. Can't even really tell the screen protector is on. Can't comment on how they will stand the test of time, since I've only had my Moto X a few days, but so far I really like them and would buy again.
I also use the Diztronic TPU case, and it doesn't interfere at all with these screen protectors, in fact I don't think it would with any screen protectors.

Same problem here the hole in the screen protector on the lower left side, which I believe is for the mic, does not line up at all.
The edge of the cut out is on the right side edge of the mic hole.
Not having any problem with people hearing me so I am going to leave it on.

I emailed them and they sent me another skin. Just got it yesterday (two day turn around, very quick) but I haven't opened it yet. I'll see today if it fits better
