What am doing I wrong!? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I've been flashing since the og droid. Got an evo flashed that droid x so on and so on and my nexus. Every rom I try to flash gives me force closes. Am I not wiping right ? Using twrp 2.5.

You spelled your title wrong.. Lol
After you do a factory reset and cache wipe, format system also
But force closes usually come from dalvik cache so make sure to format that as well. Good luck man

I already do those things naturally. Do I have A bunk phone. Probably not your just an idiot

You might be. Hard to say. Are you restoring anything from tibu? And what ROM/ker combo?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2

Xylon ROM 4.2.2 running smooth every time I try to flash something it good ves me force closes. Never had this prob before with my first nexus
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium

Do you get force closes on the factory google image? If not, then you're doing something terribly wrong I'm afraid.
Try using a simpler ROM with much less crap added in to it - like rasbean jelly. Use his supplied kernel.
1. Wipe factory reset the device (this is will also clear cache and dalvik)
2. Install ROM
3. Install GApps for Android jelly bean
4. Reboot

what app force closes?

Flashing back to regular AOKP Falls for milestone 3

I recently flashed the inverted gapps and was wanting to go back to the regular version. What would be the best way to do this?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Wipe completely and start over. Seriously this is the sure-fire fix, and you would really be better off going with the sure thing first.

I had one on my shift & nexus, I've tried using the one modded one for the nexus but it didn't work. Is there one made especially for the Epic?

Yes, it's called factory reset. You can do this in any rom or via CWM/TWRP.
No, I know that. I'm talking about the zip that formats system, data, cache, dalvik cache and everything for you.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda app-developers app
Nope. No such zip for our device.

Is it that hard to wipe each one manually while in recovery? The options "are" there to do so.

Did you not notice his previous phones? The UQI (User Quality Index) isn't as high for other phones as it is for the Epic.

Lag since ics update

Anyone else experiencing lag/slower performance since ics update... Also get some programs that freeze and have to restart phone to fix.. Any suggestions m

After installed I did a factory reset and I had no problem. Another alternative, be sure all your apps, are updated. The apps having issues, try to uninstall and install again
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
did you get the T-Mo official ICS?
because if so, I'm sorry.
Using custom roms I have never experienced this.
Tested against AOKP, CM, Chim. vs. Herc., Darkside (which is based off official if I'm not mistaken)
Yea i got the tmo official update... Im sorry i updated myself lol

You can download the factory 4.1 image from the android developers site, then you just have to flash it with fastboot

there's actually a faster way, assuming he wants a custom rom
But there's a deeper issue here: understanding his call delay, rebooting, and lag. If he's on a custom kernel, that might explain it.
everything is stock just unlocked bootloader.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Did you try to see if you have their issues too with a custom custom 4.2.x ?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
i just never tried a custom rom!

this.
op probably got OTA
Do you overclock, underclock ?
So if you want to try custom ROM flash one and see if you still have your problems and if they are gone you will never want to go back to stock

I mean if you flashed v3 then v4 of Jellyverse you flashed the one with the fix. I don't understand why you think there's a original v4 and one with the fix.

That great the team name is getting out there. If you search for touchwizUI.zip there is a flashable zip for the S3 / JB S2 launcher. If you can't find it PM me. I have a copy in my dropbox
