Flashing back to regular AOKP Falls for milestone 3 - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I recently flashed the inverted gapps and was wanting to go back to the regular version. What would be the best way to do this?

Wipe completely and start over. Seriously this is the sure-fire fix, and you would really be better off going with the sure thing first.

Are you rooted or stock? If you're stock, I would root as and flash instead of waiting on Verizon. You might be waiting a while if you're waiting on them.

I'm stoke still. I want too root so I can run code name android ROM. I really like it. But my computers broke right now. So I guess I'll just have to wait then.

no need to root; push all needed files to phone, reboot bootloader, flash a custom recovery, wipe data/factory reset, flash a custom rom (gapps if stated on first post)
To my SD card or something?

You can download the factory 4.1 image from the android developers site, then you just have to flash it with fastboot

there's actually a faster way, assuming he wants a custom rom
But there's a deeper issue here: understanding his call delay, rebooting, and lag. If he's on a custom kernel, that might explain it.
everything is stock just unlocked bootloader.

Did you try to see if you have their issues too with a custom custom 4.2.x ?

i just never tried a custom rom!

this.
op probably got OTA
Do you overclock, underclock ?
So if you want to try custom ROM flash one and see if you still have your problems and if they are gone you will never want to go back to stock

What am doing I wrong!?

I've been flashing since the og droid. Got an evo flashed that droid x so on and so on and my nexus. Every rom I try to flash gives me force closes. Am I not wiping right ? Using twrp 2.5.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
You spelled your title wrong.. Lol
After you do a factory reset and cache wipe, format system also
But force closes usually come from dalvik cache so make sure to format that as well. Good luck man

You might be. Hard to say. Are you restoring anything from tibu? And what ROM/ker combo?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2
Xylon ROM 4.2.2 running smooth every time I try to flash something it good ves me force closes. Never had this prob before with my first nexus
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Do you get force closes on the factory google image? If not, then you're doing something terribly wrong I'm afraid.
Try using a simpler ROM with much less crap added in to it - like rasbean jelly. Use his supplied kernel.
1. Wipe factory reset the device (this is will also clear cache and dalvik)
2. Install ROM
3. Install GApps for Android jelly bean
4. Reboot
what app force closes?

You need to use Dark side Super wipe. It's in the development section.
Go into recovery flash the zip then flash your room again. Should solve your problem.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda premium
Yup even used the dark side wipe...or do you mean Jamison's super wipe?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda premium
You can try Jamisons. It may help

This is the first time I've seen something like this on the t989. No idea what to to tell you except that it must be touchwiz related, since PAC ROM didn't display the same issue.

This has been reported on quite a bit. Odin flashing back to ICS will fix the issue but any Jelly Bean flash thereafter with a rom based on stock 4.1.2 will bring back the black type. My work around was to flash back to stock ICS and then load CyanogenMod 10.0. What is odd is that some phones will take odin upgrade from ICS and even from GB to the new stock JB with no problem. Haven't figured out why though. I'm thinking there is something in the new kernal included in the UVMC6 rom.

Honestly, I invested way too much time into customizing PA 2.54 (the last 4.1 Rom by PA) just how I want it and I haven't found a reason to change it. I just don't have the time anymore unfortunately to keep up with all the amazing and rapid development that xda chefs keep putting out
I did really miss photosphere though so I just wanted that.

If its Paranoid Preferences you have spent time on you could always backup your Paranoid Preferences, in Tools you'll find an option for backup.

Yeah it's not just the paprefs, it's everything else too. Just don't have the time to experiment too much anymore sadly. I'm happy with it till the new Nexus comes along
Nothin wrong with 4.2.1 IMO. I've actually thought about goin back because with it my Gnex got about twice the battery life than I'm getting with 4.2.2. I've tried almost every Rom and kernel too. Used to get about 7hrs screen time with my 3800mAh, now I get about 4 ever since 4.2.2. But I do like alot of the improvements tho so idk...Jus my opinion.
