[Q] LTE not working on stock ROM - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

So I was having problems getting LTE on Hyperdrive so I flashed back to stock. Only problem is on stock I am still getting H+ and 3G whereas before I flashed a new mod I had 4g and LTE. Any solutions? Thanks guys!'
My model number is SGH-i747m

i'm assuming you've checked your network mode and made sure the correct apn is setup. did you grab a carrier specific stock tar from sammobile or on this site? who's your carrier?

Cellular signal Issue with GSM GNEX after flashing to 4.2.2

I have a International GSM GNEX from Negri which was recently flashed to stock 4.2.2 via fastboot. I have flashed every north american radio and most European radios and have not been able to get more than about -100 dbm signal strength since the flash. My IMEI is not corrupted and other than the signal disparity, everything is functioning fine. My carrier is AT&T and my current baseband is UGLL1. I can access all the information on my SIM card so I'm not sure if that is the issue. Returning to prior versions all the way back to 4.0.4 does not resolve the issue. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.
I've got the same.. Ive flashed everything roms, radios, kernels and the GSM radio is still crazy unstable.
Update if you have a break through.

[Q] Latest Baseband GSM Gnex

I have the GSM variant of the Galaxy Nexus running 4.3 on T-Mobile. I have been having some issues (before and since 4.3) where the signal drops and it's just gone. Rebooting sometimes works. APN settings are correct. Nexus 4 has no issues, so it doesn't appear to be a carrier issue. Trying to figure out the latest baseband version (currently I9250XXLJI). As always, any and all help appreciated.
That is the latest version. The baseband hasn't changed in a long while (that's the version that comes with 4.3 even).

I had the same problem a long time ago. Tried flashing different roms, changing radios and even bootloaders. The only thing that helped me was going to t-mobile and asking them a new sim card. After that I never had any problems with my connection.
Thanks for the information. I wish I had seen the replies sooner. I've had that sim card for a while and it's probably time for a new one anyway. Thanks again.

[Q] Optimizing modem for i317 on T-mobile network

I bought a used ATT I317 for use on T-mobile network. Just got everything set up, had to flash the J2 modem in order to work around the unlock. Without any further tinkering, it looks like I am getting access to the 4G network via notification (no indication of access to LTE) but getting highest speeds of about 10.25 Mbps down 2.5 up, and lower speeds of 3 Mbps down. I'm wondering if an updated ATT modem would remedy this problem or if I should get a T-mobile based ROM and flash the updated T889 modem to it?
Many of the posts I have come across are older and I believe before the tower integration. Not sure if it is necessary to go further in modem modification or do the AWS band work around. I have my phone rooted and plan to try out different ROMs, especially cyanogen and DittoNote 3, would it work better for me to access the T889 bands from variants of those, or other ROMs?

yeah first do the latest modem and then the aws mod.
because each time you flash any kind of modem you need to re do the mod
Ah okay thanks. So I should put the latest ATT modem on there and with the AWS mod it should take care of all of my 4G and LTE issues? Then on top of that I should be able to flash any ROM without issue?
Do you happen to have a link to the latest i317 modem?

is the UCUBMK6 the current i317 modem? and will the CWM file work on TWRP? (i317-cwm-ucubmk6-modem.zip, from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2589891). If its not current, I haven't been able to find whatever is the most up to date modem

Telus GS3 No more LTE icon after 4.4.2 update?

I was running a paranoid android for some time and wanted to go back to the original rom so I grabbed the latest telus 4.4.2 rom off of samsung updates and the phone works fine. The only thing I notice is that before I used to have the LTE icon in the status bar and now I only have the 4G icon. Since I never got the update officially from Telus over the air, can anyone currently running 4.4.2 on a galaxy s3 inform me if they have the LTE or the 4G icon?

It's only an image, it doesn't change anything. That being said, you can test your network speed see if anything changed.

Well according to Telus:
about.telus.com/community/english/about_us/technology_%26_innovation/telus_networks/national_wireless_network
4G is maximum 21Mbps and LTE is maximum theoretical 150Mbps and acordding to the speedtest app I get 46.97 Mbps download and 7.83 Mbps upload so that means on my LTE?

Chances are that you're on LTE. Do you know if your modem changed? Cause if it didn't, you're getting the same thing you were before stock.
Also, like I mentioned, they're images, they are easily swapped/changed. Different ROMs will use different images
You can Go to settings>about phone>status. And it should tell you what network type your on, either HSPA or LTE

I haven't flashed a modem but I did flash the stock rom using ODIN, is a modem included in that package usually? Also I think this rom came with root which would mean it's not 100% stock, is there a place I can get the original telus rom?

It says LTE so that asnwers my question.

Root was simply pushed to the stock ROM (might've been unbloated too) but if you want unrooted, get it directly from Kies or a Odin flashable version from Sammobile.com . You might have to unroot before though (using SuperSU or whichever root app you have) if you wanna do it through Kies.
As for the modem, if you flashed stock, then yes it flashed a modem. That being said, it might be the one you had on custom as well cause most custom ROMs don't change it. That being said, you can look which one (if any) was packaged with the ROM you were using and compare with the one you currently have on your phone.

[Q] Boost Samsung GS3

Hi all,
I have two Boost GS3 that I have rooted and loaded CM11 on and am having issues with LTE on one even though I have updated the APNs and have tried different roms. The only difference between the two is one is running baseband L710VPUCNJ3 (LTE works on this one) and the other is running L710VPUCNDC (3G only). Not sure what else to do. It's funny because LTE worked on both of them shortly after I rooted and flashed but my phone lost that ability at some point. MMS works and I can not change the APN on my phone as nothing shows up. I think it might be worthwhile to upgrade the baseband to the same NJ3 version but I am having trouble finding it.
Any ideas? Any help with this would be appreciated!
