[Q] Boost Samsung GS3 - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi all,
I have two Boost GS3 that I have rooted and loaded CM11 on and am having issues with LTE on one even though I have updated the APNs and have tried different roms. The only difference between the two is one is running baseband L710VPUCNJ3 (LTE works on this one) and the other is running L710VPUCNDC (3G only). Not sure what else to do. It's funny because LTE worked on both of them shortly after I rooted and flashed but my phone lost that ability at some point. MMS works and I can not change the APN on my phone as nothing shows up. I think it might be worthwhile to upgrade the baseband to the same NJ3 version but I am having trouble finding it.
Any ideas? Any help with this would be appreciated!

Baseband question

Hey guys I have a question about baseband compatibility
My GNex is completely stock 4.1.1 and is rooted.
I was on bigxies ROM running uglc1 and I seemed to have better reception with it.
Thing is, ever since I went back to stock, I've tried flashing the same radio over xxlf1 and I can't get any service. I am experiencing the same issues once again such as random signal loss and no service. I ran GetRil and everything is good there.
So is it that you just cant run a different baseband on a factory installed rom or am I doing something wrong?
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Not all radio versions are compatible with every version of Android. This sounds like you have a GSM version of the GNex as I myself have a the CDMA/LTE version but in some cases when new version of Android come out or leak or what have you it's best to keep current the radio versions with the OS.... If that helps or makes sense at all. I do know that on the CDMA/LTE JellyBean updates I'm still using the radio versions from 4.0.4 with it and it's perfectly fine. Have you always had the loss in signal or is this only of recent with testing different radios?

I got it to work. Apparently some thunderstorms knocked out at&t service last night and I was flashing radios during it so when I got done, I couldn't pull any service down. While I'm still without signal, I know its not a radio issue now. Thanks for the response

[Q] Latest Baseband GSM Gnex

I have the GSM variant of the Galaxy Nexus running 4.3 on T-Mobile. I have been having some issues (before and since 4.3) where the signal drops and it's just gone. Rebooting sometimes works. APN settings are correct. Nexus 4 has no issues, so it doesn't appear to be a carrier issue. Trying to figure out the latest baseband version (currently I9250XXLJI). As always, any and all help appreciated.
That is the latest version. The baseband hasn't changed in a long while (that's the version that comes with 4.3 even).

I had the same problem a long time ago. Tried flashing different roms, changing radios and even bootloaders. The only thing that helped me was going to t-mobile and asking them a new sim card. After that I never had any problems with my connection.
Thanks for the information. I wish I had seen the replies sooner. I've had that sim card for a while and it's probably time for a new one anyway. Thanks again.

[Q] WIND T889V w/ T889 Modem 4.3 Update?

Hi all. I have looked around and searched and not been able to find an answer to my question. If a thread has escaped me, I apologize now and please point me in the right direction.
I have a Note 2 T889V formerly from Wind Mobile, now on Virgin (Canada). I bought it off a kid broke it after he flashed the wrong modem on it, so now it runs baseband T889UVBMD1. It's currently running Android 4.1.2
As far as I know, nobody has sucessfully restored a T889V modem after a T889 modem has been flasehed (please! correct me if I'm wrong). Has anyone with this strange combination of modems been able to upgrade to Andoird 4.3? I'd love to be able to.
Your experience would be appreciated.

I am using a Wind Mobile T889v, but here using TMobile. Here is my experience:
In Android 4.1.2, I flashed TMobile/Wind radio/Modem as ease, never got any problem, even TMobile/Wind ROM too, different combinations and all worked as a charm. Eventually I ended up with Wind ROM with TMobile radio since I am here to use TMobile. I used TWRP to flash, and it always worked as expected using the ROM/Modem from MrRobinson:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975560
And once I even flashed Videotron's ROM/Modem and still no problem.
However, after updating to 4.3, I got big trouble by playing around. First I flashed Wind ROM/Radio without problem and phone worked good using mattlowry's work:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2554226
Then I tried to flash TMobile radio as in 4.1.2. But IMEI corrupted after I flashed TMobile radio TWICE. The first time I flashed a TMobile modem, it actually worked fine. But the second time(supposed to be same radio for 4.3 but from different source) it ruined my T889v. And I had to send it to repair to have it fixed.
Currently, I am running Wind ROM with TMobile modem in my phone, stock 4.3 ROM. And the guy who fixed my phone said there is NO problem if I want to flash Wind modem, which I think yes too.
Thanks. I updated to 4.3 using the Wind ROM, T Mobile modem and devil kernel. Everything good so far. WiFi and LTE working on Virgin.

SHV-E250L problem with network selection please help

I have Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Model SHV-E250L (Korean) version and it is not working properly.
The problem is it doesn't have network selection for 2G/3G/4G or UTMS to select. In my phone I have only Mobile data switching and APN which I looked at my friend for international model have it.
At first I try to install the same firmware via odin but it is not working also try to rooted but not working (The function is not show up).
I try to revert back to Jelly bean 4.3 but just know that I cannot switch back from 4.4 to 4.3.
2 Days ago there was new update for my phone but it had no difference after software update.
Since this is korean model I cannot find a good ROM easily (Cannot read korean and afriad of brick).
*Ps I already factory reset+clear cache partition for couple of times but not working as well
Does anyone got the same problem please helpppppp.
Thanks in advance.

Need some advice and help...

Hello. I hope you can help me resolve some issues...
I have the samsung sgh-i747m version. I originally had it rooted on stock 4.4.2 and working with a knowroaming sim. The knowroaming sim would either connect to Rogers, Telus or Bell depending on the signal strength. Mainly Bell in my case. Anyways, I use the sim for whatsapp and it was giving me issues. Namely, notifications would stop working after the phone sits for a while. I read that it might be a problem with 4.4.2 so I decided to update it to 6.0.1. Reason I chose 6.0.1 is because the guide uses the same recovery as I do (CWM) and I'm guessing that since most development has moved on to 7.1, 6.0.1 should be stable?
Anyway, I flashed the ROM and everything seems to work fine except my knowroaming sim no longer works. In other words, it doesn't connect to any network Rogers, Telus, or Bell. For some reason, when I go search for networks, it always says no networks found. So I popped in my Telus sim from my other phone and it connected to the network fine but again, searching for networks shows no networks. I think knowroaming doesn't connect because it can't find any networks either. So I spent some hours looking to see what the problem is and some of the jargon is starting to confuse me and making me hate Samsung for the things they do.
I managed to download an app called Phone Info *Samsung* and I will list the information here and maybe you can tell me what is going on:
If you have any suggestions on what I should do to get the network providers showing up, then I'm all ears. If updating to a 7.1.2 rom will fix this issue, I'll gladly do it.
Thanks.
Nobody?
Replace Cwm with twrp and try a different custom ROM?
I tried the octa-m rom 7.1.2 and still the same thing. I'm going to go back to stock and try again.
