Hello, can somebody port this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2236937&page=3 to our devices as well ? when i flash it the dock icons are all out of order ;\
It is working great for me, you have to flash the xhdpi version. The only "issue" is the page indicator in homescreen, the dock icons overlap the page indicator but thats ok. You can also enable pie and expanded desktop and it will look beautiful.

" It is working great for me the dock icons overlap the page indicator but thats ok. "
Its working great when the dock icons overlap the page indicator ???
I don't know what your phones look like but for me its looking absolutely ugly !!
I also really hope that one of our genius devs here can take a look into it and ADJUST it so that it is working fine ( without the need of pie ).
The launcher is nice. I found another issue. If you set it on list view and have folder created, then you can't open it.
I think i found out why its happening... unlike other XHDPI phones the nexus has onscreen buttons right? so the launcher gives space from the bottom for the nav bar compressing the contents of the launcher together causing the overlaps. I guessed this since i tried this on Paranoid Android and when i put the nav bar size to 0%, and used Pie Navigation, the overlapping was gone. But bring back the nav bar though.... the icons overlap again.
Im still using it along with pie right now and havnt found any other issues with the launcher except for some lags.
Here's a screen shot... :good:
I will post a flashable zip on the launcher later
This is how it looks on my galaxy nexus

Pretty self explanatory but would it be possible to have the status bar at the bottom of the screen either under the nav bar or on top
Isn't a bad idea maybe someone can make a mod with this...
If you run in tablet mode its on the bottom. It takes a little getting used to though.

I tried that out and really tried to like it but its just not quite right I hope someone does make a mod for this too happen
If you run Cyanogenmod Nightly, you can use the 'Advanced Statusbar Mod'.
So you can move your Statusbar to the bottom of your screen.

I haven't tried it myself yet but this looks like it may do what you're looking for if you're on CM9.

TweakWiz!
A "Tweaked" TouchWiz Launcher
What is it?
TweakWiz is my attempt at bringing some of custom launcher aesthetics to the default TouchWiz launcher. Sure, I could use a custom launcher -- and I have. I've tried dozens, but none of them can offer the same fluidity and speed that TouchWiz does. As I dig deeper within the TouchWiz code, more features will be added/unlocked!
Features
(NEW) Rotation support! (Adheres to system rotation setting)
(NEW) App drawer icon centered!
Labels removed from docked icons.
Drop shadow removed from dock icons.
Margins optimized to maximize space (where possible)
4x5 homescreen layout
Page indicators removed, space reclaimed.
Scrolling wallpapers.
Page looping disabled (scrolling wallpapers looked like crap with this enabled).
Installation
Download/copy appropriate version to internal storage.
Boot into recovery.
Make a backup!
Flash/Reboot
ROM Developers/Cooks
I have no problem if you wish to include this in your custom ROMs, I only ask that you provide a link back to this thread so users can keep up on any updates. For those looking to perform manual edits, see here.
Changelog
1.0
Initial release
1.1
Reduced app drawer margin slightly due to text cropping.
Added 5th row to home.
1.2
Adjusted launcher to eliminate overlapping of launcher icon "hot areas" and 5th row widgets. [sinichi21]
Adjusted launcher width to reduce "squished" appearance [eortizr]
Minimally Increased bottom padding on launcher to match positioning of icons (if any) on lockscreen
1.3
"Fixed" docked Messaging icon text re-appearing after a notification in portrait mode (still exists in Landscape)
Rotation support, and it respects your global rotation setting.
App drawer centered!
Re-adjusted margins a bit.
4x6 App Drawer in portrait and 7x3 in landscape.
80% app drawer translucency removed. (I'm not happy with how it appears on the screen, I'm working out a better method).
1.3.1
Fixed initial center app icon bug where app icon could sometimes be covered by another app icon when running TweakWiz for the first time.
Added optional NO_LANDSCAPE version (no rotation)
Added option NO_SCROLL version (no scrolling wallpaper, re-enabled page looping)
Known Bugs
Icon text re-appears below docked "Messaging" app after receiving notification in landscape only!
Custom

Thank you! A moment of your time, please..
As with all of my contributions (here and elsewhere), I do this for fun and expect nothing in return. However, I have received a couple donations in support of my work recently, and while much appreciated, they are unnecessary. In lieu of donations to myself, should you feel inclined, I would much prefer any monies be donated to the CNCF Hope (The Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation) instead. This is a cause very close to my heart and this organization would benefit much more from your donation than I ever would.
Again, no obligation or expectations -- a simple "Thanks!" would more than suffice.
Legend
NO_LANDSCAPE: Launcher rotation disabled, portrait only.
NO_SCROLL: No scolling wallpaper, page looping/infinite scroll is enabled.

Anything you can do with stock TouchWiz, you can do with this. So, to answer your question, yes.
Very nice!
Thanks for this.
This is great!!!! Will try it tonight!!! Would love to see more touchWiz mod as I cannot give up great camera app and those motion control comes with it....
I am wondering if OP can include some thumbnails and it's possible to theme it like stock JB launcher?? Like having the dock divider bar in place??
Huge thanks!!!!

Very nice mod! I have one suggestion; with the page indicators removed it has stretched some widgets and my 4x2 clock widgets are now elongated. I would recommend adding a 5 row version to use some of the reclaimed space. Good work with this so far.

I agree, a 5 for version would be great. The extra space is nice, but now there's just acres of space between icons I can't use. Want to pack that baby full. Wouldn't break my heart ot have 6x5.
But it is an excellend start. Always hated the text there telling me what I already knew...

Had to agree with it but there is one mod here on the apps that support that i have tried and i think by doing that mod made some widgets shrunk in sized too for example is the google music was supposed to be 4x1 it became 3x1 and it looks ugly you cant resized it at all back to 4x1. I would suggest maybe just return the page indicator if no solution can be done.

Updated!
1.1
Reduced app drawer margin slightly to text cropping.
Added 5th row to home.
Since this is just a launcher, can it run on an AOSP ROM like CMX or AOKP?
I would normally just make a backup and try myself but I'm at work right now and wouldn't be able to try until tonight.

This isn't "just a launcher". Its TouchWiz, and still requires TouchWiz framework. So it will not work on AOSP, AOKP, or CM.

Nothing special there if you saw the small refresh button below the right side of the s suggest widget when you try to hit that the app drawer get hit most of the time it takes multiple time and precise tap to hit the refresh button. Maybe because the screen indicator is remove so there is no boundary on the dock and desktop screen

Are there any devs or someone smarter than me, that could theme the top notification bar and bottom navigation bar to be semi transparent/fully transparent like how it is on the homescreen w kitkat, so when im in an app it could still be transparent instead of big black bars?
I'm a newb when it comes to editing ui files etc, thanks for the help.

I think when you update to 4.4.2 Google gave all the devices the transparency on both the nav bar and notification bar. Its even on the lockscreen too. If you open up some app they take advantage of it. Some apps don't such as fb. I think its up to the developers to update their apps. So I'm not convinced you need to modify your frameworks or anything like that its all enabled bone stock =]

yeah im just wondering, if its possible to modify the files to make it to where even if an app hasn't, the black will still be semi transparent, b/c im sure there will be plenty of developers who choose to not bother adding it

[GUIDE][MOD] Make Status Bar & Navigation Bar transparent in 4.4 Home/Lockscreen
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I tried this before on aokp jellybean, its ugly because the transparency isnt within the apps (just like iOS) but the homescreen you can see your wallpaper while inside an app lol i guess it all depends on the app if it wants you to use full emersion :/

Use gravity box module with xposed
Only nexus 5 has transparent bar, nexus 4 update to 4.4.2 cannot install latest android home launcher.
You mean like this?

GPU: 450 MHz Overclock

Just went thru an rooted installed this mod, literally does everything, except transparency lol Thanks tho for the help/replies guys.
Just use a custom rom with it built in. Custom roms have had transparencies way back in the day. Where do you think Google got the idea?
Xposed does this well. You have to enable transparency AND have a launcher and touchscreen that supports it. If your launcher doesn't support it then it won't work. Gotta have both.

Hey guys,
I had this idea that seems pretty obvious to me but I'm not sure if its feasible.
Is there a way to build a kitkat ROM where the nav and status bar are always consistently translucent (like in the homescreen?)
Thanks in advance
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
What is it going to display? For the launcher it is displaying the wallpaper. But nothing to display when you open an app. In case of Paranoid Android it displays a white bar if I make it transparent. And if you enlarge the area available to the app and add the translucent bars, it will block you from accessing some parts of the apps.

Better to run in extended desktop mode w/PIE controls to take full advantage of our 4.65" screen.

I see..so i guess each individual app needs to go ahead and apply their background in the navbar and status bar areas for KitKat devices...which should be really simple, but for some reason they haven't gotten around to it yet..it would make android so much cooler looking..it's basically native per app color that should be instant..
Anyway this is just mu thoughts on the matter and what i would do if i were developing for kitkat devices (which most major apps are already doing, but no UI enhancementa yet)
Thanks for the reply man

AOKP roms can hide the navigation bar making games and apps look full screen
is that what you wanted?
