I tried no luck when I connected the phone to my computer it attempted to install this driver qhsusb_dload and failed.

Try going over to the AT&T thread.
See if this post has any helpful info...

I think that post has info on accessing the irc channel...you can get the LGNPST files from there.
Good luck.

Plz help me unbrick my hard bricked phone

I wouldn't recommend it. Please go to a gsm service.they will fix it.If you are not a tech wizzard, then don't try to recover a hard brick phone home.there are alot of command lines to be written and the most slightest mistake will result in a permanent brick, beyond repair. You have 2 choices : send the phone to warranty, tell them it died.Go to a service and pay about 20 bucks to repair it.

No other way really ?:crying:

I am also facing cookie not received error on QPST. But my phone is Cherry Flare, qualcomm msm8225 based.
I had updated my phone to Jelly Bean (used it for 3 days) which died while it was charging. I tried to flash bootloader through QPST, but got the cookie error. I assume the QPST can solve the flash problem if something went wrong while updating firmware. In my case I was not updating the firmware, it suddenly died. After reading so many forums, I could not find any solution and am thinking that the phone is beyond repair by myself.
Now my question:
1. Can service center repair the phone through JTAG? I believe JTAG can directly access eMMC flash which QPST could not.
2. If not, can eMMC be replaced? Or the entire main board needs to be changed?

If the emmc is intact, jtag can fix it.
If the emmc buffer is corrupted or full with bad attempts to recover, the only way is to change the mainboard.
Happend to a friend with a galaxy note.he tried so many times to fix it with odin home until it was too late for jtag.it could't acces the emmc.
Anyway,if the phone is hard bricked,it can't be traced.so send it to warranty.

[Q] Unbrick QHSUSB_DLOAD

Is there any progress on unbricking the htc one v, I've tried using the unlimited.io method with no luck, any help would be appreciated
in the word's of myself, your buggered....you need to send it to Repair centre..
1st hand experience here
Haha thought as much, ah well thanks anyway
or find someone with a riffbox, if its really DLOAD mode and not diagnostic then its ready for revival and wont even need cracking open (and youll get s-off/supercid too)
What's that ??

its a jtag box that supports several htc phones by usb you just have to short the emmc while connecting the usb to get into qcom dload mode, if youve already got dload mode you just need to connect to the riffbox and hit ressurect (and set your cid to 11111111 if you want) it will get you back to the bootloader with s-off and you can flash an ruu from there to revive it fully
Can we purchase that from stores ??
And if its hard bricked ......will it work ??

not always, this problem shows for 2 things
1) ALL or some of the nand is broken due to radio and needs to go to HTC
2) as you said, IF it's just in DLOAD, and we have a program in the android development forum for it..
Btw if they take it to HTC what do they fix in it ??
motherboard ^

Help to repair the phone stucked on Qload state

I wrote this request in another thread and I think hasn't been read by many people, so I opened a specific thread.
Our phone may remain stucked for several reasons in a QLOAD 9008 device state, or similar device (easily verifiable even with Windows). It's better to test a solution very simple and useful for all.
To do this is required to extract some files residing in an area of the phone's memory and only a working phone can be used to extract a dump of this files following how explained in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2136738
Don't think an hardbrick can't happens to you, it may happens and without a tested solution your phone may become a paperweight. Alas my phone is bricked (!), I cannot extract any file from it, I can only try to repair the phone but I need this files to test this method. I invite anyone who has care of his phone to read the topic linked above and try to extract the files needed to repair the phone locked in QDLOAD mode (05c6:9008), we have only this way to unbrick the hardbricked phone for free (if the phone warranty is expired or invalid).
I thank anyone (uhm... mr. Arco68?...) who gives a hand to solve the "Qload 9008 mode" brick problem with this method!
I hope that someone will help you.
I've read the thread, and I'm willing to help... but what exactly I have to do?
Honestly, I can't make any sense of the thread...

Today, or as soon as possible, I'll try to make backups of the bootloader, partition table and a .pit from an i9100. If I cannot do that, as soon as possible I will try with a i9001 that has hardware very similar to the i8150. I hope I can do it, so I will explain here how to do it step by step to allow other users do the same more easily. Stay tuned!

[Q] Galaxy Note II N7100 Bricked, Cannot enter download mode, USB JIG not helping

I used heimdall to flash stock rom (extracted the varios bin and img files from N7100XXDMB2_N7100OXEDMC2_SER), and missed out sboot and recovery. Once it finished, I tried restarting the phone -> and it wouldn't do anything. Now I cant enter the download mode.
I tried a home-made USB JIG (300k ohms b/w pin 4 (the left out pin) and pin 5 (ground)), and it wouldn't kick the download mode either (does nothing).
I am seriously stuck and have no clue on what to do. If it helps, when I try to boot (with any combination of keys), the indicator (left) blinks red once.
Begging for help right now... Please tell me what to do. I love my phone, and I have a decent understanding of Computers/Electronics - so it's okay if you go all technical
More Info:
Extra Info: Verified that the USB JIG is doing the same thing, i.e after 3 seconds or so, the indicator blinks red... (and so on after every 5 seconds in a loop thereafter).
Good chance of SDS
You have messed up bootloader so won't get download mode
But if you have heimdall and some techy here is guide to flash bootloader blindly, if you succeed to flash it, you will get download mode and subsequently use odin to flash stock rom

I have never actually used jtag to debug anything! Is it worth buying one just for this purpose? Also, I'm not able to find any wiki on how to use jtag specially to download a particular bootloader (Learning JTAG and its usage as a whole seems very tedious)...

You have to attach the wires directly to the nand or internal memory chip or whatever it is(could be memory controller if there is any). Then you have to connect it to a box? I don't know much about it. You can check on the internet. You have to flash sboot.bin I guess

On a side note (not sure if I am violating forum policies), I am still within warranty period - is there a way Samsung can pinpoint what caused this? Or can I still get it repaired with some generic reasons?

Well if it were sds or it's symptoms then yeah.
But you could try maybe they would just consider it sds or something else.
And don't worry. Talking about Samsung isn't against the forum rules

Best answer if samsung guys ask you, tell them it was happened when I got OTA and after getting update device never started, there are cases reported bootloader can't update while on ota and device fail to boot further.
Just don't show them you are technically sound, and behave like noob, they will install it with jtag.

If it is just sw issue, you will get back in few hrs,(basically it takes same time like we flashing with odin, few minutes) and under warranty you should get it free.

i need some files from a working phone to try to unbrick mine

hey
long story short, i bricked my nitro hd by mistake while going back to stock (typo error in dd command) and i need some files from a working phone to attempt a last attempt to save it before i send it to Jtagging service.
there is a small program in this thread that will collect all the bootloaders i need (it needs root access)
if you're in windows you should run backup.bat from Brixfix-2-1.zip.
if you're in linux then you should run get-part.sh and getpartbin.py
thanks in advance

its black screen , and i was getting hsusb_qdload when connecting it to the computer (code 9008) , then i tried a chines program that flashes files to the emmc .. all i had was the su640 files (they were included in the same chines thread , p930 was mentioned there) ..
after the flash , its still black screen but now windows installs new drivers (code 9025) - check the attached photo.
as far as my understanding goes this is sd mode.. the flashing software is still able to see the cellphone, so i want to try to flash the original files this time and see what happens before i spend 80$ on jtagging

Forget it my brother. I had the same problem and I never found them. Those files are strictly released to Qualcomm developers only.
I would suggest u get another motherboard from a dhd and replace it with urs.
You can search eBay for DHDs with cracked screens for lower prices.
