Stuck at bootscreen - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

I have galaxy wonder GT-I8150 with stock rom
i decided to change the stock rom and use CM9
here is what I did
1- Installed CWM 6.0.2.7 via ODIN
2- Boot into CWM recovery and Backed up my Stock Rom
3- Flashed CM9 RC7 via recovery
used CM9 for 2 days
Now i want to go back to my stock rom so
*Booted into CWM recovery
*Do a restore for the stock rom
----- Now Iam STUCK at the bootscreen (Galaxy Wonder - GT-I8150) for about 3~4 minutes then reboots again
The phone is at boot loop
***tried to wipe Dalvik-cache ; Cahche ; even did a wipe data/factory reset
but no matter
*** Iam able to flash Stock via ODIN and its ok
tried to restore via CWM after flashing the stock 2.3.6 but also no matter just BOOTLOOP
the only way is to use ODIN !!!!!
I need help to restore the backed up stock rom without bootloop !!??

What are tweaks that you use? Perhaps boot loop caused by wrong kernel too.

[Q]

every custom rom i flash doesnt ever boot! whats going on? ive tried all three now and have never got boot from any of them. i have a nandroid so i can always revert to my original and that boots just fine. any ideas??
See my reply in my ROM thread. Did you restore baseband.img, boot.img, and also firmware.img as instructed in the unbrick thread?
Try this
1. Unbrick, boot into Korean ROM, root, flash CWM
2. Boot into CWM and fire up adb shell
3. Restore the baseband.img, boot.img, and firmware.img
4. Flash one of the ROMs (DON'T FORMAT /DATA OR FACTORY RESET)
If you want to clear /data before flashing, in CWM, first mount /data, then in adb shell in recovery, run "rm -rf /data/*"
Be sure to wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache before flashing the ROMs
thanks man but still didnt work.. bootloops with ANY custom rom only thing that works is my nandroid backup
Did you upgrade your CWM? Once your upgrade your CWM to the newest one you won't have this problem anymore.
how do i do this??
I had the same problem for awhile also. I had to use the unbrick and restore all img files. Then installed cwm and finally flashed the custom roms via the instructions by rom creator. Everything worked fine after. No more bootloops and custom rom works just fine.

Just curious, have you tried power down the phone yet? (I'd suggest do a backup prior that attempt)...
There are quiet a few people including myself who can't power off the phone without boot loop afterwards...

[Q] Recovery Boot Loop

After I install CWM Touch v5.8.1.3 and go into recovery... I get a recovery bootloop... CWM freezes. Then I must reboot and re-flash CWM v5.0.2.7 to get things back to normal. Anyone had this problem? How can I get CWM Touch v5.8.1.3 to install properly?

Alright, I used odin to flash it and it works with no problem for me. Sorry it's not working for you
Correct procedure for flash CWM and any GB ROM
You should never flash cwm from a previous version, you have to do is flash the new version with Odin, is the best and clean method.
Remember to do all wipes, wipe factory, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvic cache, and flash the darkside wipe tool or in mount and storage option format cache, format system and for a more clean installation format mmc (this option format your internal memory, not your Micro SD Card)

[Q] How to Flash my Galaxy W back to Stock Recovery and Stock ROM

Hi,
Few months ago I rooted my Galaxy Wonder (Malaysia version) to CWM-based Recovery v6.0.3.4 and flashed to a Custom ROM. Now I wanted to flash back my phone back to Stock Rom because the Custom ROM is very battery consuming.
Now, when I try to flash the Stock ROM in CWM recovery.. the error shows "E: Can't open /sdcard/I8150DXLM3_I8150OLBD1_XME.zip (bad)" then Installation aborted. I tried to download a few Stock ROM from different sources but still give me the same error when I wanted to flash it in CWM Recovery.
Can anyone here please tell me how to solve this problem? Do I need to unroot my phone (flash back to Stock Recovery) before I can flash back to Stock ROM? If yes, how to flash back to Stock Recovery?
Your help is really appreciated. Thanks in advance. Hope to see you all to reply me

Now I follow the steps in the thread you given me by using Odin.. After the step <1> Close serial port and wait until rebooting..
My phone is keep on restarting and appear the SAMSUNG logo and never enter into android system! It seems like a another problem coming out? How to solve this problem now? :crying:
First start up takes up to 5 min.
But if you get bootloop, go to recovery and wipe data/factory reset
Sorry for my english
first, download your country stock rom
after download, extract this file
download odin and samsung usb driver
flashing frimware via ODIN, wait until succed, if stuck, go to recovery, wipe data and cache. finis

You need to do a clean installation/ pristine. since it will leave some custom ROM files in ur internal storage. i always do (in CWM) wipe data / factory reset, format system and format /sdcard0 (internal storage) before installing any custom/ stock ROM.

You deleted your backup. Only thing you can really do is Odin back to stock and start over
