no the SlideMeRoot 5r1 but you mighty need ubuntu that's what i used. first rename the rom i just added 2 at the end
in ubuntu i deleted a fie in the bin folder (logwarpper) from SMR5r1 rom
flash the rom (renamed) then flash the regular rom (no wipe)
note: download the regular rom and put on SD first
EX: slideMeRood5r1 regular
SlideMeRoot5r2 renamed
hope im clear sorry
Eh, don't do all of that. Just change your Theme (press your menu key at the desktop screen, then select "MyModes", then "Change my Theme") to Nest. It already has the bubbles removed on the latest Slidemeroot5, but the theme has to be Nest. You can change the background after you change to that theme.
I only removed it on the Default theme, as I knew people was going to say ( But, I liked the Bubbles!! )

I'm not sure how anyone can like the bubbles... they're so obnoxious. Makes the screen too cluttered-like, but what do I know - all personal preference I guess.

the stock nest theme is in system/framework its com.htc.resources.apk.. you can pull this from one of his slidemeroms and push it to your rom and itll have them removed. If you want to do it the hard way, you pull that file from your phone, open it up, all the png files in it that say container in the name are the bubbles. replace bubbles with a blank icon named the same.

The settings in LeWa are from LeWa itself. The lockscreen is from CM7 (which this port is based on).
1. Launch somehow the activity responsible for editing the settings of the lockscren from CM7. Might be impossible if packages are overwritten. It might still be there.
2. Edit settings for lockscreen itself. Should be in /data/local/[package]/
I have no idea how they are stored though. Guessing via SharedPreferences class. Never really played with the file outside the API and the code though.
3. Make certain preferences in CM7 rom. Copy the file responsible for settings to LeWa rom.
TL;DR Go ahead if you have know-how-to.

Hey dude you need decompile framework-res.apk and look at res/values/bools.xml
you need to change screen on animation = true to FALSE
That's all....
Based on: This thread.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Screenshots:
Video from original thread, so not on Xperia S but Galaxy Nexus.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tested working on FXP145 and newer. Older should probably work too, but I'm not sure about that. (CM10 and Xperia S, of course)
Please report if it works and any bug you run in to! And you might want to backup the files modded by this mod (services.jar, framework-res.apk, framework2.jar, framework.jar and android.policy.jar which are all in the system/framework/ folder) in case you want to get back to the original lockscreen.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Download:
Here.
Warning! Somebody reported to me the mod isn't working properly on FXP149. Somebody else reported it working though, so I guess it should be fine. You probably want to backup your files for the sake of safety though.
Install instructions:
1. Save the zip to your phone's memory.
2. Reboot into recovery.
3. Go to "Install from zip" -> "Install from sdcard" and select the zip file.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions.
5 . Reboot device and enjoy!

Big thanks to:

The framework is different. Give him the PA 2.55 framework-res.apk (and maybe a few other files, I don't remember what is used) so he can apply over it.
I am just waiting for FXP to fix the problems on their kernel which was causing problems on dual boot to update my PA to the next version, so consider it, @OP, a request for the future.

Yes I know about that first one, but as you can see in the video, it's in the original mod too. So I don't think I can do anything about it. Will look into the source though.
That second thing looks interesting, because here it shows up every time, even though sometimes barely visible. Are you sure it really isn't there sometimes?

Sadly enough that won't work, because the patch (from the original mod) isn't done to the compiled (framework-res.apk, framework.jar etc...) files, but to the source code. Then I compile it and pick out the files needed, pack them up in a zip file, and deliver them to you .

Yeah I was already thinking about that, but I don't know for sure if it will work. Since this patch is made for CM10, I think it might break some things specific to PA. I'll download the PA source and try it out when I have some spare time

Because it's made for CM10 my friend but still thanks for trying because I now know I'll have to build a special one for PA and AOKP
Btw, a small status update: I've ran out of disk space on my wubi install so I'm waiting on my NAS to come, which should arrive somewhere next week. Then I can move all my media (movies, music etc...) to the NAS, and resize my wubi disk to a lot bigger one Then the sources I was downloading can continue
Perfect in fxp 147

Status update:
So, I spent past couple of hours trying to port the recent apps mod to the PA and CM but it didn't work out :crying:
I was able to do the changes and compile the SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk but when I flash the zip, the SystemUI just keeps crashing on the boot..
"SystemUI has stopped working."
I was using this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2187184
Well, this guide has some problems..
It says:
/res/layout-port/status_bar_recent_item.xml
Click to collapse
There is no such folder "layout-port" in res..
Then I checked OPs mod which he supposedly created using the same guide...I decompiled his SystemUI.apk but guess what...there wan't any "layout-port" either...
Then I thought that I should change that in the "layout" folder itself...(and later I found out that the OP has done the same)
But still..no gain Force Closes everytime
There was one more problem that there wasn't any id "android:id="@id/recents_clear" in the ids.xml..but I solved that problem.
I can upload the zip which force closes if anyone wants to test stuff too

The think is that in layout and layout_land you need to remove the whole code and paste his...the thing is that if you compare the 2 codes you can see that alot of change in recents code but you remove alot of code existing..im pretty sure thats causing the FC's i try with a guide for 10.1 and i still have this problem...systemui refuse to load even when the phone reboots properly..so maybe if we exclude the fact that we can copy and paste...the code there is old and cm has added a lot of stuff in it after that...so we need someone who knows to check the code and apply it to a newest version of cm...
and remember those guides are for cm if your trying to do it on a PA or SLIM or anyother heavy tweaked rom you will mess a hell lot more things!
Since there was not one posted i decided to post a Remove Location Icon flashable zip file for those who just decide to stay stock de-bloated.
The update script is by andybones, and i modified the apk.
This will work with stock, and deodex, roms as long as you have no other modifications are made in the systemUI.apk
I also included the stock file as well.
Flash in recovery and wipe the dalvik-cache, reboot, SUCCESS !
There are Three files. The Remove_Location.zip will work for both odex and deodex roms.
For odex roms it deletes the odex file and replaced it with a deodex version. It will work just fine don't stress out about it....
The other two are stock deodex and stock odex. If you want to go back make sure you use the right one!

I corrected this problem, and the code is now fixed !
Is it still a blank icon that just now AFTER the Beats icon, or is it really space freed up for other notifications?
I don't have that behavior myself on my device after flashing as seen in the posted screenshot. Anyone else ?
Sent from my HTC6500LVW using xda app-developers app
Edit:
Note that even though the modification to the systemUI.apk smali code should set the icon to a with of zero, the actual location of those icons are in the same file
Those were technically removed on my first attempt, which yielded the blank space between the beats icon and 4G symbol or whatever else. That b/c I didn't take into account the smali code in systemUI.apk
Now on my device theI just applied the systemUI.apk modification which just set the width of the ' clear ' location icon to zero which made the space disappear. I have tested this several times by replacing the original systemUI.apk and systemUI.odex files and then re-flashing the modified one and it functions as shown in the OP screenshot.
I also compared the MD5 checksum with the one I flashed vs the one I downloaded from here in case i accidentally messed up and they are identical.

I was going to say, that those status bar mods are not stock
The SystemUI.apk holds some of the icons for the statusbar, and the systemUI.apk hold the codes that control the blank space between the 4G icon and the beats icon that is where the blank space was.
Those are the files that were modified by me, the first being accidental leaving the space between the beats icon and the 4G symbol, and the later resolved the space
Either way, I had the space previously with your first mod and flashed the updated zip and the space is gone. Thanks for the fix!

I like the clcok and battery mods there. I wish there was an easy way to do that while keeping the stock ROM. there's no custom ROMs for this phone yet that I've fallen in love with. Bone Stock was good for a While, but even that one I found myself going back to true stock ROM and just debloating it myself.
